Not to make light of what may be the most depressing announcement involving SWG ever (including initial release push backs)...
Some things that cracked me up.
1. Thunderheart...do you realize that now each and every one of your "19 Answers" that even mentioned the CB revamp will be thrown at you for the next 6 months or so? You might want to get some + Dodge clothing attatchments.
2. That now the only thing that you could do that would make people more depressed would be introducing Gungans in JTL?
3. Let me say I love Q, but man...does that guy know when to leave the room or what?!!? Q, you da man. Seriously, TH, if you see Q running from a building it would be smart to follow him because a flood, tornado, or some act of god is coming your way.
4. New man on totem pole gets the best jobs, right TH? LOL. Sorry bud.

I would start with "With all due respect", but you used it =P, soin short and with respect, this isn't "just an expansion". This is Space. Space is something that everyone wanted at launch and Space is needed to create the Star Wars experience.
The other side of that is that JTL has been in production since January. We can't delaysix and half months of work for something that really makes Star Wars what it is.
Ok, sorry but I have to take exception to this and argue it. Combat Balance was promised in early December, maybe even late November, I forget exactly. Combat Balance was promised to be "finished" by April, it was stated that it would start in February and be finished in 3 phases.
So WHY did they decide to "split the team", especially after they'd just put most of the game fixes on hold for Vehicles, Mounts, and Player Cities, due to split manpower, then jump right into another Expansion immediately after the holidays?
We were lead by the nose for the first 6 months, and told that once the Cities came out, that the team would be back to full strength and we could expect more issues and revamps to be addressed and fixed.
It doesn't sound like that's what happened. It just seems that more focus and effort has been spent on fulfilling "Launch Day Extras" wishes, instead of taking care of the flaws in the Core System that have been prevelant since Launch Day.
As far as delaying 6.5 months of work for something that makes SW what it really is... well, last I checked, Combat and GCW make Star Wars what it really is and they've both been delayed several times. Space Expansion may be fun, but I don't feel it's the core concept of the Star Wars saga. That would be the Jedi, the Sith and the Force that binds them. Yea, some of the cool moments of Star Wars movies were space battles, but mostly it was just included as short interludes that displayed a means of transport for the genre, kind of like horses, boats and "oliphants" werefor Lord of the Rings.
What the Team needs to realize, is that they cannot keep delaying the Live game for unreleased Expansions. IWhat we have now is what makesStar Wars for us, not what's "coming".

Sure hope for you that one day you'll make the finest MMORPG ever.
Too bad I won't be there to see this. It's getting real old. Time to move on to something different.

What is being done is completely unethical and void of integrity.

Ok, first off.....I will be taking a long break from SWG at least till November...hopefully by then things will have tightened up....but with the current track record it doesn't look that way. OK, second, I think that when this game was created, the potential for SO MANY different ideas and options to be implemented is astounding. Just go to every Profession forum alone and look at all the incredible ideas the community has and the Devs have. I think what we are seeing is the lack of manpower needed to actually bring those changes into effect. So, here we are, 1 year after release, and the game is getting a complete overhaul.....not that this is bad, it just makes me wonder what have I been paying for all this time? So....on that note....I will be playing FFXI till JTL, that game at least its core issues are pretty set. It could use more community involvement but hey, then it would be a perfect world right? Anyway, Also, u guys need to lay off TH, saying he turned traitor for money. That's just rude and immature, he didn't create the game and the companies policies so don't Kill the messenger.

At this point, it is not possible for the mess that is Star Wars Galaxies to even pretend to tout itself as the finest MMORPG ever.
Too many broken promises, too many major changes that are poorly thought out and poorly executed, too many outright lies.

Actually, Microsoft reorgs all the time just for giggles. Well used to, it's been a few years since I worked out there, but they'd reorg entire divisions for no real reason other than someone wanted to. Product Teams got reorganized constantly sometimes 3-4 times a year. I think it's just the way it works in corporate software houses.

Same thing is going through my head. You don't reorganize unless something is wrong. And in corporate America reorganization is the last exit before the layoffs start rolling in, but in this case before the consumer starts to cancel, and servers shutdown.
