Thread: Publish 6: Released Wednesday Morning
TH,
Question: Though i have not had the privilage to log in yet today and i do not have my character on TC up to a decent level yet to test this, I have been reading that the bleed damage for One Hand Hit 2 has been GREATLY reduced, could i please get a confirmation on this today durning your office hours if it is possible?
The not stacking bleeding is fine, in fact i'm glad that it is done, however to reduce the damage on the advanced bleed that greatly is dissapointing to hear.
So far I am very underwhelmed by the "Crackdown". All I've seen so far is a lot of dead stormtroopers in cantinas.
Whoever thought sending 3 of them in at a time would be at all menacing was not playing the current iteration of the game.
One guy in a set of composite armor can mop up 3 stormtroopers pretty fast.
So, where is the terror? Where is the oppression? Seems massively overblown to me so far.

I think you may have forgotten what the game is about. Having fun. It is a game after all. If I want to spend my time in front of the monitor miserable I'll go to work. Not everyone enjoys getting killed by a stormtrooper patrol and having juvenile Imp PCs send gloating tells to them.

I'm excited about the patch. I think the people whining about the unfairness of the scans have lost touch with what this game is about. We have an evil, corrupt, oppressive empire here that is finally going to start acting like it. There are laws, if you break them there are consequences. If you side with the enemy (the rebels) there are consequences and risks. Belonging to the Empire has perks, you can get away with more... especially if you have power. YES, theis makes sense! This will be fun!

I know ofa way to stop the smugglers cries of pain and anguish over the fact that high ranking imperials can avoid the scans.
Ready for this?
Get rid of the ability for smugglers to avoid the scans. Only allow high ranking officers to avoid the scans. They begged and begged for some 'smuggling' content, and then when you give it to them, they whine and cry about how they are now a diminished class.
Before this they had nothing, and begged for more... you gave them more and now they are begging for even more. Obviously they will never be satisfied. Remove their ability to smuggle, and make it called 'Bribe'. They have to pay off the ST's that do the scans if they get caught. Now, no one has the same thing that you do but better.
Problem solved.
(now watch the 1 stars come rolling in)
Lol I see where you coming from, but Stormtroopers under the teachings of the Imperial Doctrine are immune to bribery.
Heh, we still haven't even handed your asses to you on Hoth yet.

You all do realize, if the Imperials are strong this time, there will most likely come a patch where the rebellion surges forward. I hope all you Imperial *selfedit* that are laughing about all the 'whiner Rebels' remember the intolerance and mistreatment you're dishing out now. Payback is a....
barrels still seem to be broken for Chefs, this was reported numerous times on the TC, and by Sir Vimes
A 400ish pet HAM buff for 9 mins per hour at master level ? Surely thats a joke ? That isn't worthy of a Novice Chef item, and not a single CH will find that of any use at all, cosidering the costs to make.
A Master Chef should produce stat buffs of comparable level to a Master Doc, with some reductions due to the portability.
All a Chef produces are buffs, yet we STILL have weakest stat buffs in the game - this has to be wrong ?
A Master Doctor can buff me in 6 stats for 2500+ for up to 3.5 hours, it's looking as though the Chef will be lucky to hit 700 MFW for 40mins (lower than a Musician buff).
Critical Fail rate and failure on experimentation have incresed in this patch. Using "good" resources (650+ in all stats), yesterday I was getting 1 or 2 experimentation fails out of maybe 6 - 8 items, now I'm getting as many as 2 per item.
I've not had much chance to play around with too many chef items, but so far, it looks like a complete chef nerf, just when everyone thought that couldnt happen.
I know you dont like negative posts, but I'd love to see some positivity here - all our saleable items have gone, or been nerfed, and we now will have to rely on BE's being able to make THOUSANDS of additives using the hardest meat to find in the galaxy, how is that an improvement ?
I find the smuggler gripe a bit silly. Imperials can't slice weapons or armor, they have to invest massive amounts of faction points to be able to do this.
Look, just be glad "move contraband" finally means something in game.
And no, this is not the first time faction points have bought something better than skill points: the AT-ST is better than any CH pet out there. It's a facet of the game.
It does not supplant your entire profession. It doesn't even supplant the entire skill. It's just one little taste of it. Who knows what future uses "move contraband" might have with the criminal faction that imperials will have no gain on? Relax, and be glad that story and depth have been added to the game.
Added new shellfish harvesting tool to find mollusk and crustacean resources. Schematic for tool can only be obtained after completing a particular NPC granted mission.

Am I out of line asking for detailed patch notes as we've gotten in the past?
They are up now. We are doing some back end changes that caused a slight delay.
For future reference, you can always find them on the web site though under Recent Updates
RE:
TH/JustG...
The next time you release a patch a day early, could you please give some kind of warning in-game the night before? We have an email system in-game eh? I shouldn't have to check these message boards for that sort of situation... you guys talk about increased community awareness, then do something like this which shows a dramatic lack of understanding of what we would like to know.
I'm a Rebel... I logged out last night in Kadaara, knowing that the patch was on Thursday and I would be safe still logging in the next day. I planned to log out today in my home town so that I could approach Kadaara from it's outskirtson Thursday, as I should since I'm a Rebel, inspecting the new defenses or whatever else is going on.
Now I get to log in tonight with no clue whether I'll be turned overt andkilled before I even finish loading the game, thanks for the warning guys. Posting on the forum doesn't cut it... I and probably many others like me don't hover over everything that happens on these boards. Check out my post times... I'm one of the silent majority =/
