I think senior members should be able to make other people overt.



I was born once... then I decided to play SWG, now I am contemplating the whole life-after-death idea. Read in-between the lines for the rest of the story.

I like the idea of instant declarefor the faction under attack, and adelay for the attackingfaction of 60 seconds, to prevent hit and raid tatics of covert parties. AlsoI recommend a30 minute to go covert.

Whats wrong with that? isn't that the way it is really done? 2,3,5,15 people move into an area and wait biding there time until a signal is given then BAM, the jump up and attack, and then run off. I think that would add a dramatic ability to the GCW.


Most people are careful now when they see a blue on there radar anyway. This would just add more demension to it. You see a group of 20-30 blues moving your way, you either run like hell , or call all your friends over.

Ok, my two cents toward the topic. In the interests of realism, how about being able to declare at any time, anywhere... BUT... only being able to regain Covert status by visiting an Image Designer? Make "ALTER" a low level I.D. skill, and allow the skill to make an overt player covert OR remove all faction allegiance altogether. There doesn't need to be any actual appearence alteration, or perhaps a minimum change will be required. These may make one's status determination somewhat more of a serious matter, and perhaps keep players from popping upto Overtstatus on a whim, for for the purposes of a simple ambush. Not to mention making Image Design a moreviable career path. Each faction and Pa would need staff IDers, AND a place of buisness to perform the procedure. Just a thought.

I think that is an excellent suggestion and fairly viable, though may take a while for the devs to figure out how to accomplish. Make a minimum rank, most likely a field grade officer, that has to spend the fp for the recruiter perk.

Safe spots in towns or buildings and free for all everwhere else.



or at least the three factions can fight with each other all the time.



yes crafting professions too. Pa's will value their crafters and assist them



I hate dying and have to redeclare especially if I am in the opposing factions territory.

Raph, does this really matter? If you are going to take over a Faction HQ, you just want your terminal people overt. Not only that...but are their armies of people in the game? The only decent PvP happens in towns.


The entire system is bunked so you might as well let us declare when we want. At least that way we can have a little fun doing PvP.

Being able to go Overt at anytime, and then Covert in an hour from a Recruiter makes great sense. Going overt is the easying, blowing your cover. "Hey! Over here!". Hiding your "identity" again is the thing that takes time. And yes, a timer after going overt would avoid ridiculous ambushes. Overall, this is a good way to go.


As far as cloning goes, I still think that if you die in a battle, you should be out of the battle. If you're DB'd by another player (not a mob) have the person who DB'd you get to pick which cloning station on the planet you come back in. LOL. This would allow groups who fight each other regularly, to choose local ones if they want to keep going at it, or if you're looking to remove people from battle, pick one across the planet somewhere. At least they'd have to hop a shuttle to get back. LOL. Yeah, ok, that's not a serious idea. Ok, in all seriousness. I still think you should be out of the battle.

Why not make it so higher ranking players can let others go overt acting as a recruiter, but theyd have to be overt to do it.... you kill the highranked person the battle is over after you finish off the rest of them... Just make it so hed have to go overt so he cant just let everyone go overt and then its endless mobs of rebels or imperials... Thats just my opinion

I think you should be able to go overt anytime.Adding the timer to keeppeoplefrom attacking at pointblank by surprise is a good idea. I personally like the ablility to clone and get back to the fight. It is kind of silly to have to sit there and watch an attack going on without being able to help out or having to run back to another town or a city to declare agian. It is just my opinion.
