28) Hermit Quests


TH, no one is getting the 5 pieces of the Hero's Sphere to assemble it.


We are only getting the 4 pieces and then the Hero's Ring at the end of the quest.


Who is supposed to give the 5th part? The Hermit?


I have started this quest post-publish 9 on several chars and all only got 4 pieces.

i dont care what anyone says - a blaster bolt to the back could kill a jedi just as fast as anyone else

Issue: 2-handed Lightsaber (might as well occur on others) doesnt return to default attack after Areaspecials

Instructionson how to recreate the bug:


On critter lairs, when you use Area Attack like Frenzy, if your attack affected some critter, even your target was lair that you used area effect, lightsaber doesnt return to default attack on lair.


Since my main is not melee, as well as might occur on other melee classes as well...

Issue: Cannot get back to Covert from recruiters inside Rebel base

Server: Any

Planet: Any

Your profession: Rifleman (can occur at any, repeatable)


Instructionson how to recreate the bug:


This might be a wide known bug but once you get overt with /declare command or from recruiter, you cannot get the option for getting covert from dialog window. 5 minutes of waiting time, tried again. Logged off completely, tried the other day, same result. Happened in a Rebel Forward Outpost..

Issue: If you use an area of effect attack on multiple enemies and a non-primary target (or any of the ones other than the enemy you are specifically targeting) disengages because it's about to die, you can no longer damage them with your area-of-effect attack.


You can hit them, but all that you will see is "head hit" or "body hit" above the enemy, and it will take no damage. In order to finish the enemy off, you must manually target that enemy and execute an attack.

To re-create bug: Engage multiple enemies and attack your primary target using only an are-of-effect attack (such as 2hspin2)

Addition to prior post


If you use an AOE attack (inculding 2hSpin2 and Advanced Strafe), only enemies that are attacking you will be damaged by the aoe attack. If an enemy disengages from you (due to low health) you can no longer damage them with 2hspin2. Similarly, if you are using Advanced Strafe on a lair, only the creatures that begin attacking you will take damage. No creature will take damage until they attack you, although you will see "health hit" or "body hit" above their head.


Hope that also clears things up.

ust did some caculation.

1.4m exp to get rank 11.

If you are really really involove in this game:

1. you can kill 20 overt(on a luck day, no exploit, no killing your own guildmate/alt) by YOURSELF(cause you don't get full exp if someone attacked the target).

2. You never stop playing this for more than a week, cause you will lose all your rank if you stop playing for a week

3. You get 90FR xp per kill, cause you are careful enough not to mess with those you have killed within one hour.

In this rate, you can get 1800 xp per day. If you play 365 days an year, you can get wao! 0.657m exp! you want to get rank 11? no problem, you only need to spend 827 days of your life to get it.

Issue: In the Squill cave on Tatooine. I was fighting a squill had to bring it outside the cave 'zone' to get away from all the other mobs, and while fighting it for about 2-3 minutes it healed itself 'full' and warped back inside the cave.

Issue: Comments on #12 and #17 - Jedi Robes giving no protection and Jedi TEF

First the positive - removal of the Jedi TEF is a great thing and a welcome change. The major impact this has had on the game is the elimination of griefing. The only negative (if it can even be called that) is the emergence of many Jedi out from hiding. However, Jedi have the same right to access content as non-jedi and if POI or spawn camping is an issue, then it an issue for all classes. Fix the core issue of spawn camping. I leveled at the Squill Cave Saturday for an hour in front of othersand promptly got on the BH Terminals and consequently got hunted down. I'd say it's working as intended.


Second - when I got rolled up on by a BH with investigation 3, the BH pistol line, and the Dirty Fighting smuggler line, I got hit for 650+ damage every second and the battle was over in less than 15 seconds. I didn't even have time to run. I give this BH credit for having a good template and finding and killing me solo. I also accept that as a lowly Padawan I should be easy pickings. But this was off the charts stupid easy. We should be able to use composite armor like everyone else until the combat revamp armor nerfs. Had I enjoyed some protection, I still believe I would have lost the fight, but I would have had some chance of escaping or fighting back.

Yes please put the Jedi TEF back in. The longer you wait, the worse it gets.

The entire Jedi/Force concept is out of order vs the rest of the universe. In case the devs didn't notice during any of the movies...there should be ZERO ability to block any heavy weapon or multi-shot special. The best a Jedi should be able to do is block one 'round' of that spread. You don't 'block' a flame thrower or other heavy weapon and no living being can react fast enought to block the equivalent of automatic fire by adjusting the position of a one inch wide blade. Thats why they are heavy weapons for Gods sake! I'll say this - Jedi ingame is a noble goal - but because of a horrible initial implementation (ie grind profession based jedi advancement which plays into thepower gamer's hands) the worldsare awash with Jedi attacking at will with no fear. Because common sense was not used with regards to blocked shots there is no combat value to ranged weapons vs jedi UNLESS you bring back Jedi TEF.


Bring back Jedi TEF - End blocking of heavy weapons and multi shot specials - and though I thought of myself as a Jedi fan - I'm likely to join the hunt for these creaturesas they are ruining the entire feel of the game
