Isnt this not technically true since at padwan you can use your sabre, get on BH terminals, technically then forcing you into pvp?

Jedi are also not forced into PvP until they have completed the Jedi Knight trials. Before then they have the same PvP options as every other player. They can be Imperial or Rebel, Overt or Covert. Upon completing the Dark Jedi Knight trials they will be required to be Overt Imperial and upon completing the Light Jedi Knight trials they will be required to be Overt Rebel.
Why are you wasting my time and yours ? You want to cancel your account ? Go ahead, what are u waiting for ? Us to approve your decision ? Oki, i approve ur choice, leave us in good company and stop whining.
Thank !!!

Excellent work Devs <----- 100% serious
Most of the changes sounds good. cant wait for publish 9
i know about about 18 jedi on my server and more have been coming out of hiding. out of the 18 of them 13 is dark jedi and the rest is good jedi.
i talked to a few good jedi's and after the changes most of them said they was going dark cause they didnt want to go through a vote and doesnt sound very fun cause of the lack of fighting.
1) so my question is how u going to balance this? ---- will end up having dark jedi running around everywhere. and good jedi's that do stay good will have thier way with the votingbut outnumbered.
2) will armor be a option? ----- i love my armor has much hasi willlove my robe.
3) how will the changes be made for skills between dark and light? ----- people been trying to say thiers a diffrents between the 2 but thier isnt besides thiers strong points. like light has more force and dark has more damage in lighting and grip. but a good jedi can still use choke and lighting if they choice too. like in Return of the jedi Luke choked a pig guard when he entered the jabba palace and iam sure if a good jedi wanted to use lighting they could.
4) about these robes and thier color and look? i think we should be able to choice what color our robe is cause noone told Akakin that he couldnt wear dark clothing when he was a padawan and stillwas considered good jedi.
5) can i get more info on charater transfer to other servers? --- main question is how will alot ofour stuff get to the other server? other one is will we have the option to change our names?

Terrible idea.
So much for Jedi being 'hidden'. Wearing Jedi robes, overt rebel, no title or Jedi title, all that is left is for them to go around asking people to shoot them....
forgot to ask something else ![]()
will the animation and look for some of the force ablility?
Like - Force knockdown atm looks like lighting when its just a pulse of energy and used for quickness. the animation takes to long.

I cannot believe some of you are whinning about this new system (before you've even experienced the whole thing). You get quest oriented advancement. You get advancement based on PvP. You get a cool ranking system and a social setting where you can interact with members of the Jedi Order. BHs would kill for this kind of profession content.
Would you rather have it the way it was? Killing kitty cats on Endor, semi-AFK for a slow and boring XP grind? The new system sounds challenging and rewarding. Don't judge it until you have seen the whole thing working.
In my eyes the only thing left to address if saber damage type.
We are whining about it cause there will be TOO MANY JEDI. It has nothing to do with Jedi advancement. Some of us don't want Jedi running around moreso than they already are. For some, its gamebreaking. I'm one of them.
QUOTE: We realize that this may lead to lots of characters with varying amounts of Force abilities wielding lightsabers. We're sensitive to the continuity, but we're also trying to make a fun game in which many of you can fulfill your destiny and become lightsaber-wielding Jedi.
TRANSLATION: We realize that this will lead to tons of characters running around being Jedi, and creating a more "leet" environment than already exists. We're not sensitive to the continuity, and for those of you who were hoping to have a Star Wars game that would make sense given this time period, you must realize that money is more important to us. Thank you, and we hope you enjoy your time with SOE.
PLEASE throw a bone to the people who either don't have the massive amounts of time to play the game, or don't care to spend every moment they have working towards Jedi.
*OPEN the second character slot for EVERYONE*
I pay just as much for my account as the person who spends40-80 hours/week online. Actually, if I'm causing less server load, you should want to reward me if I only play 10-20 hrs/week, right? ![]()
Certainly, reward people with the Jedi path in recognition of their time played. But give some of the rest of us a chance to have some fun too. With a second character slot, I can then have a character with which to enjoy crafting, and a second one with which to explore combat, or even PvP/GCW.
... and by opening the second slot for everyone, you can then ...
*ALLOW people to choose, at the completion of the trials, whether or not to have their current (1st slot) character become FS, or have their secondary one become FS*
This way, people who planned from the start to open FSCS with their primary (and planned race accordingly) can then apply that work towards a character who's suited to be a Jedi.
I for one, do NOT agree with players voting on anything.
This causes to much griefing. For instance, say that a few friends get on the jedi council. Whos to say that they dont allow anyone else in on teh council just because they dont like them, or their guild for some reason?
I mean, if they are going to do this, they might as well bring back /citywarn again. I dont know about the rest of you, but leaving a part of the game in the hands of a few immature players, is not my idea of having a fun game to play.
