OK. I'll admit I'm venting, but please bear with me. In my opinion the Corvette never should have gotten off test center. I've been up 3 times. I still haven't completed it yet. That's fine. I like a challenge. What I dislike though is the hypocritical nature of the beast. I was running in a group doing the Imperial Assassination mission the last time I was up. I died twice. After the first death, all my items lost their insurance. So, when I died the second time, my nice 80% composite took a major hit due to decay. Fine. It happens. I would have thought I died a faction death. But, ok maybe it's not classified as a faction mission. I dont like it, but I can live with it. The mission timer runs out, and we didn't finish the quest. It was late, so I logged out right there at the Emperor's Retreat. I logged on today. I checked on a few harvesters that I have around Moenia, and then traveled to Theed to heal some BF. I walk into the cantina and immediately out of nowhere get jumped by an overt Rebel. I'm like **edit**?? I had no TEF. I'm NEVER Overt cause I HATE pvp. And yet this overt Reb kills me before I could even blink. I ended up giving him a /tell to find out how he was even able to target me. Turns out he says I was Overt. Well the only thing that could have possibly turned me Overt was the Corvette when I died while on board. If it's a faction based mission that will turn people Overt, then there should be NO decay. SOE needs to think these things through a bit more carefully. I'm not new to this game. I've been playing since beta. But stupid crap like this has been happening all too often lately. The corvette just like the geo labs was released waay too soon. Crap like this never should have made it off the Test Center in this condition.

I'm currently a TKM, working on my 18th prof. Yes I'm a hologrinder. But I actually try my best to enjoy my profs while I do them. And I must say, I enjoyed Architect alot, and I'm working on Droid Engineer now, and I'm enjoying it. Crap like this really makes me want to give up the entire combat crap and go pure crafter.

Many good points and statements are already listed here Devs.. all i can say is .. you wonderfully destroyed all the hopes for a good quest which is all in all fun ! Beeing on the corvette is fun.. limited to 1 hour is not fun.. finding the right ppls for that quest is not fun....killing super HAM Mobs that dont drop anything then a few creds or crappy CDEF like Weapons and just ruin your armor is not fun...

I am not going to touch this quest anymore since i hear you made it fun... currently its just another failed feature in the long list of SWGs failed features..

For everyone saying this place is too hard, or geared towards the powergamer:

"Social Adventure" Opens

This will mostly be a non-combat adventure, targeting Entertainers, Dancers, Musicians, Image Designers and fast-talking Smugglers... perhaps set in the Hutt Casino. Loot will be new songs, dances, etc.

I was up with 2 groups, one with a squad leader, 10players, 3 At-St, we did not make it, but we where close, the time limit is hard, you have to know what you do. The second group was only 8 ppl, without At-St only 1 doc and no squad leader, we did not have much chance. I can say, I realy like the corvette its a challance and you need preparation to do it, you have to try it a few times, and the ppl in the group need to know what to do.

But the quest before the corvette are stupid and demotivating. I did not know what to do, and had not much luck, so I had to travell to all places and travell back to the emperors retreat to see if the thing I got are the codes for the mission. I had to travel: naboo-tatooine-naboo-corellia-talus-corellia-naboo-corellia-dantooine-corellia-naboo + the shuttle waits on the planets. And I only can say once more, it is a stupid idea to keep the starport times at 10 minutes. For me this was a wasted afternoon of shuttle waits.

I didn't bother to read all 9 pages of this thread, just the first couple pages and the last few posts, so what I say might have been mentioned before.

First off let me say I enjoyed the dungeon immensely. It is hard yes. Impossible, I doubt it. I like a challenge and something that is very, very difficult will keep my interest much longer than something that is easy. Thus it means I will probably be having fun in this dungeon for quite a while.

My first trip to the corvette ended dismally when everyone split up for some reason unbenownst to me. Pretty much after the separation everyone died. Me being a smuggler I managed to live through feign, run 20 meters, feign .. etc. Eventually I made it to an escape pod and got out. I am pretty sure everyone else was dead.

My Second trip was much more organized with a good blend of CMs, Docs, Melee, Commandos, and Riflemen. We lasted the full hour but were unable to open a locked door before the time ran out. Our progress was blocked at every turn with the multitude of baddies that took so long to kill as to make the dungeon seem unfinishable. However I think with proper planning and and good tactics, a good group of elite combat/medical professions could complete it.

HOWEVER, I do want to report what seems to be a HUGE BUG!

I am a Master Pistoleer with a little +Dodge in my armor as well, and the ENTIRE TIME that I was on the corvette I DID NOT DODGE once. Dodge is pretty much my first line of defense and it didn't work at all. Meanwhile I did see the troopers dodge now and then. And before someone points to the recent change in Dodge animations while running, I checked the combat spam, and there were no dodges, ZERO, NONE.

So what gives, does dodge not work on the Corvette? If so, why can the NPCs do it?

My only thought is it is not scewed equal. Had a realy good group of 10 folks with one high level Jedi. All were masters of their professions but the only ones that could do any worth while damage were the guys with power hammers and scyths. So don't take any guns they seemed usless (seems silly for Star Wars). If combat balancing takes down the the melee guys in power then no one will be able to finish it.

All had high level armor and high level buffs and many were one shotted for over 6k damage.

Needs to be some ablity to heal and insure up there once you start to die stuff just decays like crazy. You can't heal your wounds so you just start stacking them up.

Bottom line, needs a little tweaking on the difficulty and damage types. Need to address decay and clone camping up there. Need to address healing, since there is none other then stim and rez ability and no way to do it without buffs once they are gone.

Other then that the look is good and the adventure has promise. I hope we are going to see the old making things really tough and back off a bit thing you are so fond on mentioning.

We had a full group of ten and got smoked.

I am a master smuggler and MCH and i was completly useless. Yes i found i could slice a couple things in there but overall since i am not UBER i was useless.

I had fun I didn't expect to do well but i thought the group as a whole would have... I was wrong.

Don't get me wrong it was cool just to be in there and start to try and figure out what to do. But the 3rd fight with 5+ 200k yellow and black troopers ended us.

If they point was to prove you can kill the uber PC's you win.

I however just like to experience the different things and just cannot make it. I gave up my spot for more uber guys to hope someone in the guild will finish it... But that leaves me without any chance of getting this badge or any cool looking rebel rewards.

I don't begrudge the creation of high end content. But I do hope us non uber guys get something cool to try.

I still had fun but have NO illusions of being able to finish this adventure.

How about an instanced adventure where we have to solve something or figure something out WITHOUT having to kill everything that moves.

Well, the Black Knights were able to do the Imperial Destroy Mission. For some of us, was third time thru the mission, for others forth or fifth. In any case, its hard, but if you think, it's do able. You need to spend time to map out the area, find out what rooms to go into, what rooms not to go into.

It is challenging, but do able. We had a group with a few bounty hunters (not all masters), a CM, a doctor, a CH and a few other people. Total group was size 9. It was hard, but fun. It was nice that we had to think strategically to do it.

One bug after finishing the mission. To get the schematic reward, we have to talk to Lt. Velso inside the retreat. However, not all our members had done the missions, so they were not allowed inside the building to talk to him. They are working the missions now to see if they can get inside and still get the reward.

We were also able to build the bike. There should be a screen shot on the Chillastra forums soon.

TH do not let people pigeon holethe developers into making it easyer, instead make the next Dungeon Moderate difficulty were this one is ub3r hard(Well not the Mandalorian Armor Dungeon but the one after that).

This game needs content and content on all levels(also a combat revamp but the topic is content).

Their should be5 types of NON-PVP Content:

1-Solo XP grinding content.

2- Moderate group sized(3-6 players)content.

3- Solo Quest Content.

4- Ub3r group hardest level content(need a group of 20 to do).

5-Special content(Player bounties, Smuggler missions, ect Star warsy stuff)

CM's are like nukes. You have them just incase you need them, but as soon as you start using yours the other guys start using theirs and everything goes to hell-PyschoticChipmunk -The First line of the Riflenomican.

Quite dissatisfied. We went up there with a full roster of Elite Master combat and healing professions, including two master BHs and a Master Commando. We all knew what we were in for and equipped accordingly.

It was ridiculous - I'm really disappointed that the only "challenges" in the game seem to come from ever-escalating HAMs and resists. Let the NPCs on the Corvettes fight out the GCW, they're superheroes compared to us lowly Elite Masters...

Content should be accessible to more than just the small fraction of templating power-gamers. I'm not suggesting it be made so easy that a group of artisans could take it but is it unreasonable for a well-equipped and experienced group to expect to succeed at this? I died more times on the Corvette than I did completing my entire Investigation tree.

I'm really let down by this, especially when I realize that the development resources that went into this could have been employed for something more beneficial to all players, like fixing glaring bugs that have existed for months, balancing professions, fixing the combat system...

from this post it sound like the corvette working how the dev wanted it to work. i huge time sink and money. think abuot it they fixed the bike repair bug. now you have to ride all over planets which mean you have to pay for the upkeep of your bike, and dont forget about the shuttle tickets. maybe the whole idea was that they wanted to get some of the uber armor and credits out of the game?

Too hard for a group of only 10 people.

Mobs run into the cloning room and kill you as you're loading.

Resists are alright, HAM is too high or visa versa.

Build it then blow it up

Just one word....

A W E S O M E

Well, justsome few more words: 40 minutes inside the corvette full of adrenaline. But, at least, we could leave the starship using the escape pods.

Great work Devs.
