Its just another way to keep ppl playing longer. They will keep dragging it out no matter how thin it gets...so sad....

Say you are barely sensitive, it could take you a two weeks to make it to glowing (casual play). Do you have a right to complain about having to waist those two weeks? No, because that's the way this system works. Those in the lower levels of force sensitivity WOULD HAVE TO WAIT, REGUARDLESS. Use this time wisely. Who knows, a large portion of the people in the first two waves only need one branch, so they go unlock their 5, run their one quest, and leave the village to do the conversion XP. This could take as little as 24 to do. The DEVs could use that as the signal to bump up the next group.
Relax, breathe, walk away from the computer for an hour, come back, and start doing what you have to do in order to progress. There are WAY to many factors involved here to get all worked up over when the patch is barely a few hours old.I Did about 10 professions before i gave up the hologrind and I dont mind the people going before me that did more work.
Now get a grip on this... they could have simply told people they were going to do this and avoided a great deal of this headache. You have no idea how livid I was/am when i found that I took a day of vacation for nothing. I am glowing so all I am waiting for is the artificial gate. There are no other factors that I care about than that!
I agree completely. The whole "Shrouded in Secrecy" thing is getting REALLY old.

TH: You're original and follow up posts are vague. What if you have finished all the new requirements and have become glowly and done professions? You said that we can get the visit from the old man by doing the new requirements and doing the old requirements, if you did the old requirements you get your visit based upon your/the Dev's opinion on what is enough players being done. So if I did all that is required on the new system will I have to wait until my GROUP for the professions I did?
TH: Why have you and the Devs lied to us about the old system on so many occassions. I know at one point Haden said that everyone had a chance to get their jedi slot int eh old system.. That just wasn't true. Your post fully admits that you were changing the requirements to something that PENALIZED HEAVILY causual players who couldn't grind through all the professions like the power gamers. So since I started on DAY ONE of Live and couldn't finish the 5 professions before you started screwing with the system I was in turn screwed into having to do, as you admitted EIGHT professions instead of five. THAT IS A DIRECT PUNISHMENT OF THE CASUAL GAMERS AND REWARD FOR POWER-GAMERS! And that's pretty crappy on your parts since you said you weren't do that. Just another lie I suppose.
TH:Why not be honest and just say what it is and whatit hasalways been.Which isbasicallythat you completely screwed over the casual player who couldn't grind through 32 professions! That pretty much sums it up doesn't it?
I cancelled my account, just like 30 other people I spoke with today and the 30 or so people I know in the Tampa area who have already quit. And trust me they are spreading the word about how vile the SOE Devs have treated their consumers.
This isn't about a game. This is about being a BAD CORPORATE CITIZEN, which SOE is.
THERE IS A REASON YOU ARE HAVING TO GIVE AWAY FREE TRIAL MEMBERSHIPS!!!!!!!!!!!! Treating your consumers like crap is it!!!!!!!

I have a question about the term "automatically qualify". Does that mean people who's force sensetivity reads "You feel an inner glow. The force is with you.", or people who have mastered all of their holocron professions in between publish 9 and 10?

After publish 9 another publish without any new content for me. I am very very very disappointed and i hope you SoE-guys know that i'm paying the same amount of money every month as the grinders do.

If i have to wait another week i quit if i have to wait another 2 days i quit i have been playing since day one there is no reason why i am GLOWING and still have receved no visit i have been waiting along time for jedi and believed you when you said holo grinding was scraped if i knew this then i would have grinded instead of enjoying the game because i am certanily not enjoying this at all right now i am not waiting i am canceling and hopping that MANY MANY MANY others do the same. dont string me along to keep my subscription just make the game enjoyable for me and i will stay. this is something you are failing at misurably right now i just hope you fix it before it is too late

TH, I must say I am the most disappointed in you now than I have ever been. I can understand the holo-credit calculations, that I do not have a problem with. But gating people who qualify for a visit from the old man is silly, wrong, and just plain annoying. Because I chose to not ruin my character and holo-grind (which in your opinion even hurt the game) I am being penalized by having to wait until everyone and their mother has gone through the village. I have been waiting for this day since I tested it out on TC2, only to find you guys are telling me to wait more. Does this mean I will be missing phase 1 of the village if I chose to not grind any holo professions? Is this what you call fair?

ok what about me i have never mastered a holocron prof. and only mastered smuggler .............. does that mean i will never get to be FS.........
i have had this game from day 1 and have paid my fee everymonth on time without fail ................ FS or jedi should have been selectible from day one
but since that was messed up them soe you should charge like 29.99 for the damn FS slot and just get it over with and it will quiet everyone down.....
