Waiting the DAY publish 10 goes live? I can understand that for people that have not done all thier silent professions, but thats BS for people who have unlocked.

I have done 27 professions, and I am glowy on kettemoor, enough of this "secret" crap how do we know where we qualify? If you are glowy are you Auto qualified for entry or are you still not qualified for another week?

/sigh...just when I thought it couldnt get any worst...I try to be optimistic, but these types of things keep making it harder. Please think on how long you are going to make these groups wait...only having done 1 holo and 10 total profs I doubt I will be very high, I wasnt expecting much credit, but I was hoping to atleast start today. Gating us by the old man would only work if you gated for VERY long time periods could it be I may have to wait 12 weeks to even GET Into the village? I really hope not.

Its been my experience on TC2 that you should really be on the lookout for the old man, he could pop up at any point and if you dont talk to him then or miss him you could end up screwed. But now...we dont know when he is coming and it could make things very hard to even know when your "phase" for the old man is coming up since Very few people know which group they are in, and Im doubting you will announce when different groups are getting the visit...

Holy crap, people. Get a grip!

1) I'm willing to bet 90% of you who decided NOT to participate in the holo-grind, did so with the intention of waiting until the path to FS was quest based. You have your wish, go about fulfilling your chosen path. Don't complain that you don't get any sort of reward because you didn't participate in the path they are rewarding.

2) As stated.. 8 professions were required in the last stretch of the holo-grind. That means up to 4 are told to you by a Holocron, the other 4 you had to guess. Those who didn't use a holocron could have potentially mastered some of the 8 professions you need, and therefore MAY get rewarded for doing so EVEN THOUGH you didn't "participate" in the holo-grind.

3) If you are not glowing, then you would have to work towards doing so ANYWAY.. stop complaining about having to wait. This is the NATURAL progression of the village. Say you are barely sensitive, it could take you a two weeks to make it to glowing (casual play). Do you have a right to complain about having to waist those two weeks? No, because that's the way this system works. Those in the lower levels of force sensitivity WOULD HAVE TO WAIT, REGUARDLESS. Use this time wisely. Who knows, a large portion of the people in the first two waves only need one branch, so they go unlock their 5, run their one quest, and leave the village to do the conversion XP. This could take as little as 24 to do. The DEVs could use that as the signal to bump up the next group.

Relax, breathe, walk away from the computer for an hour, come back, and start doing what you have to do in order to progress. There are WAY to many factors involved here to get all worked up over when the patch is barely a few hours old.

I Did about 10 professions before i gave up the hologrind and I dont mind the people going before me that did more work.

Now get a grip on this... they could have simply told people they were going to do this and avoided a great deal of this headache. You have no idea how livid I was/am when i found that I took a day of vacation for nothing. I am glowing so all I am waiting for is the artificial gate. There are no other factors that I care about than that!

I believe it is truly you that needs to get a grip...you took a day of vacation...to play a game...Ok so reality didn't meet your fantasy,...or even YOUR ideals...so what...the day isn't remotely wasted...go outside, ride a bike...if you can't watch that movie you have been wanting to see...getting this pissy over a game is not healthy...I know as a recovering addict myself...ok so i am still addicted...BUT i don't get so peeved over it anymore...

I am writing in regards of the Pubish 10: Jedi revamped. As I am glad that it quest based. However I am a lost of why a character like mine who has the "INNER GLOW" but am passed over because I am a Roleplayer and didn't sit 24/7 and AFK marco 32 professions? Or these people pay more than I do? I pay the same 14.95 per month, right?

My character has meant the requirments of going on these quests. Why are some getting preffered treatment?

I think myself among a number of other many numerous players are quite upset with this news. I stopped grinding at 18 professions once I heard of the quest system. So if you are saying that as time went on, the # of professions required to grow determinate on the number of jedi on the system. So maybe #19 would've unlocked me back then and now #32 would unlock me. Is it any fair that I decided to play the game instead of grinding through numerous professions and now may not get the opportunity to open/unlock my slot in the very near future? I am not at home currently so I have no idea what my status is, but the whole idea that I may have to wait say a month, two months or more after I've waited this long for the quest system to come out is absolutely redonkulous. I am under serious consideration of dropping my three accounts after hearing the news. I'll decide once I find out my faith when I log on tonight.

WOW so for those of us who actually kept the game going by sticking with professions and not participating in a mindless hologrind this publish is next to useless until all the hologrinders are done with their phase.

Yep thats about what I expected.

Thanks SOE you have shaffted every single player out there. I went Silent after one Holo so I dont know how may silents i got left. I master 16 Profs had about 80+ badges logged in and got you have a strong sense of the force I been out now I am glowing and I cant get a visit from the old man for how long ???? no one knows as it is until you decide the villiage it quiet enough that could be months. I am sorry I am glowing I should get the visit now, you have known for months that a lot of ppl will qualify and the 3 week cycle is bad enough but then to gate the old man visit it even worse. Are you not making enough money to afford a server or net connection that can handle the server load ???. you should sort this out asap it may take ppl weeks to complete the quest and we have to wait for them because they could afford the hologrind before I did. I have mastered 50% of this game and I am glowing give me my old man now or I will leave this great game and find somthign else to spend my money on.

How about you give your veteran customers... the ones who have been here since the beginning a 2nd character just for sticking around through this mess?

I second that emotion! I've probably spend as much time playing this game as anyone that has already unlocked. The only difference is I spend it trying to enjoy the game for what it is. Gives us that second slot!

I second this too. Draw of the luck I understand, but changing the rules is just evil! Especially to grate a system that was flawed in the first place. Everyone should get a the same chance. A better system would be to have some sort of incentives to persuade people not to be jedi. Evil! Pure Evil!

Ok, i guess whats really bothering me is up untill yesterday all the information we were given said that we would be rewarded in the new system for the number of holocron professions we completed in the old system, and also that there were 5 professions needed to unlock in the old system, 4 given to you by the holocrons and one last mysterious profession. This lead alot of us to assume that if we completed all the holocron professions untill we got that last "silent" holocorn that we were one step away from unlocking, and would still be close to unlockking under the new system. Yet the ranking under this new system seems to be way outta whack. Thunderheart posts that the ranking is based on the number of professions you had left to master under the old system, yet i have seen some major discrepancies so far today. On two of my accounts i mastered out all of the given holocorn professions untill silent, and oncharacter A i even went farther and mastered and additional 5 professions, yet today i get the rankings under the new system and character A gets one of the lowest rankings, barely able to disceren the force, while character B who only mastered7 professions total, including all the holocron professions untill silent, recived a higher ranking with a "faint sense" of the force within. At the same time, twoguildies who only partially mastered their holocron professions and had more to go recieved an even higher rank of felling a "surge of the force" within. So what doesnt make sense to me is on both my accounts i mastered more professions then my guildies, including ones that i KNEW counted towards unlocking, yet now under the new system i'm going to have to wait untill half the other players in the game get their shot at jedi before i can even partake in patch 10.

NOT BEING COMPENSATED FOR POINTS IN THE NEW SYSTEM IS A MINOR BOTHER, NOT BEING ABLE TO PLAY THE NEW SYSTEM UNTIL OTEHRS WHO DIDNT EVENFINISH ALL THEIR HOLOCRONS GET THEIR CHANCEIS A HIGH BLOWER.............

"If anything it should go on how long you have played the game, if you want to do this."

That would be unfair to individuals just starting the game...so they wait 1 year to play Jedi?...Nope, no matter what the decision, no matter how FAIR it truly is, there are those who will feel they don't have the advantage, or are not getting what THEY want, or are not satisfied, no matter how well thought out the system....get over it...

Since there is a large wave of players that will be going through the system, we are going to be monitoring traffic daily as players start and finish the Force Sensitive quests. When enough people have completed their path, we will open it up the village to the next group. Groups 1 – 4 will qualify for a visit when the village traffic has died down. Of course, if you qualify for the visit under the new system, you will automatically be granted a visit from the old man.

Read that again. Then again. After that, once more.

What this means:
The traffic is measured DAILY. This means that you will have to wait a week (at most) if you are in the latter groups. The quests will be completed by most people in a few days. You're not going to have to wait as group 1 goes through the ENTIRE village in all four phases, you're going to wait as people finish the quests for the current particular Village phase. If you can't wait 4 days to go to the village, than go ahead and quit. Go ahead and try to find another MMO game that "listens to it's customers" by allowing them to become all powerful immediately.

Sheesh.

People need to calm down over this. Everyone is crying about how they can't make Jedi today. You know what? Too bad. You think you deserve it because you're paying $15 a month? Well, I pay the same amount and i'm a mid-range Pistoleer. I'm not crying that I haven't gotten 4/4/4/4 in that or in Medic (yet). It's part of the game. But all the wannabe jedis here (not the people playing mind you, i know that you are not the majority of future jedi players) are whining because they can't become the uber jedi in days. Instead they're going to have to work for it. You'll have to play the game as intended. Mastering your class should take time. It shouldn't be obtainable in days, or hours. If you had to take a month in order to get jedi, should you be upset? No, you should be able to say in the future "yeah, I got jedi through hard work and determination". Just like any class should be able to say the same.

The way the game works now is broken. If you want to see what SWG should be, try getting a group of unbuffed people and doing missions. Watch the medic frantically run back and forth while healing, as TKNs attack in the front lines and ranged classes sit back and support. It's fun, believe me. But instead of that, we have 2600 buffs, people tumbling in the med center (which i refuse to use, even though i'm going for CM), and the powerlevel grind. Now we have jedi who are going to have to wait a few days before they can start the village who are already upset that they aren't getting credit for randomly grinding professions. And of course, people are already saying the threat they use most often on these boards: "that's it, i'm cancelling my account!!!1!"

Look, I know some of you did the grind in order to better yourselves for this. I can't say i understand why you did. Content like this doesn't come every day. The village looks to be one of the cooler pieces in the game, and you all want to skip it?
