So, Light Jedi are Forced to kill if they want to stay without being killed????
I understand that the "real" jedi, not killing a BH, probably would be hunted again and again -if he couln't do anything about it using another of his powers!- but as the game does not allow it... WHY IN THE Hxxx ARE LIGHT JEDI FORCED TO KILL????
C'mon.. give an alternative.. dont do this again and again.. where is the Light Jedi Code in this game.. are you really thinking a light jedi is forced to kill of flee?? Cannot he use Mind trick, or fake death or incountable other force tricks to keep his hunter away? I mean, if he has the opportunity at least.. but that is what it is supposed to have when he incapacitate the Bh...
bah....
you have to kill for the same reason we BH's do. bounty hunter isn't about being an assassin, it's two separate things. in this game jedi aren't jedi, bounty hunters don't hunt bounties, smugglers don't smuggle.

As much it cost to me to admit this, I suppose you are right

The whole reason for the gating is to force you to just play the game.
Play WHAT GAME, exactly? The broken GCW? The unbalanced PvP? Maybe you mean the POI's that don't respawn anymore...
I'm sorry but there is nothing else to do until JTL comes out but grind for a Jedi character.

I started playing SWG right when it was released. I quit the game during the midst of the hologrind period, the game seemed to lack any kind of "soul" and grinding multiple professions not for their own sake was pure evil. After awhile I just couldn't take it anymore.
I went and played CoH.
Then I heard about publish 10! The changes sounded very exciting, so I decided to come back.
And let me tell you, I am SO glad I did. This game is definitely going in the right direction now. I am utterly amazed byhow infinitely more complex and multifaceted than CoH (which I enjoyed somewhat) it is. I love the Jedi changes, I love the whole bounty hunter thing (just a great great way to encourage and reward PvP and to give drawbacks and thrill to being a jedi). I feel PvP is going in the right direction and, unlike other games, I feel like its integration within a larger PvE world ismuch more seemless (rather than going to some special location exclusively for PvP, you see PvP around you all the time, its great). and I feel PvE is going in the right direction also with the increase of loot, dungeons, and quests; but more importantly, with the elimination of holo grind people actually grind what they want to. It gives their characters more soul. People who are "meant" to be combat oriented ARE, and they aren't grindingdancer or chef! When you talk about so and so, you know what profession they are, and not just what profession of the week they happen to be grinding. And with the new jedi changes, people can master their professions and yet continue to xp in a meaningful way (FS xp). So I am really impressed with the devs and the direction they are taking this game. With the Jump to Light Speed expansion coming out this game will be even more exciting.
However, as a side note,I must admit that I am annoyed by the fact that the second character slot is no longer FS/capable-of-training-jedi, for two reasons. The first of which is that characters and their concepts were often made with the tacit understanding that this character was never going to become a Jedi. I think this problem could be partially alleviated by offering players the choice to change their names, for instance, upon becoming a jedi. Someone named "Gogo" for instance, might want to change their name upon their decision to become a Dark Jedi. But what if you made a wookie as your primary character, with the intent that your second character, your jedi, would be zabrak? Now the new system more or less forces your wookie to become the Jedi. Another possible solution is to allow the character to decide whether they wanted their primary character, or the new second character, to be the force wielder upon opening their second slot.
The other problem I have with this issue of not having the second character slot the FS one is that it undermines in some ways what I just praised earlier with regard to the eilimination of hologrinding and allowing players to grind what they want. The new system forces you to have to regrind up whatever "ordinary" professions your primary characters has through your second character, because your primary character will lose these professions on their way to Jedi. Kind of frustrating to have to grind up two characters at the same time. But more importantly, all professions once again become temporary means to an end, jedi, just like they were during the hologrinding days, only less drastically perhaps.
Anyway, great work SWG, keep it up!

Hello all: I have the same question as Josue here...
Thanks.

Great news but have a issue:
Completing the extra patrols in FS Quest Combat 1 should now give the reward item even if you have a full inventory.
What about us who have already completed the extra 10 mission and had this issue?
I havecompleted the Extra 10 mission but had my inventory full of the FS resources from the sith.WillI still get the Banner placed on my inventory when I log in.

Just increase the cap for all FS xp... I don't wanna use skills i don't need until i'm ready to become a jedi, because
1) if I don't wanna take one of the phase 1 skills, and already capped the xp, i can do nothing to advance in jedi/fs, wich is the same thing as someone who played since day 1 but didn't changed 31 times of prof have absolutely NO reward, even though they could have enough xp to fill a dozen branch, they got nothing...
2) now that we can't even surrend skills (and so if we want the jedi on second slot, we lose 24 skillpoints for good), at least we should be able not to have "useless" skills until we are ready to become jedi.
Hope you will take my advice inconsideration

I'm not a jedi and I'm not a BH so I can't really comment on any of that.
The furniture containers I'm excited about. Its about time. That probably should have been in a looong time ago. Curious why we can't rename them like we can rename backpacks though....
Vendors: I don't have any vendors. I've thought about it several times. I see the arguments supporting and against the unused change. My opinion is this: If I'm paying for my accounts, if I've paid the maintenance on my vendors, if I have items up for sale on that vendor, there is no excuse to be deleting items; NONE.

I'd call being almost impossible to kill by a master combat profession in a one-on-one encounter ameaningful reward.

This isn't really a bug or anything, but when you turn in XP for FS XP in the village, it tells you that you "loose" your normal XP instead of "lose" it. Thats just a pet peeve of mine.

whatever happened to the posts on the publish 10 feedback thread?? 2000 posts and the devs just wiped em off this board... we had an awful lot of angry people on that thread.. so many people threatening to quit, and not a single dev gave us a single post for an answer. will we ever have our cries answered for a better jedi system? maybe possible to reach for those who didn't hologrind? or a revamp for smuggler or pikeman?
sadly, i think we will most likely not. they will continue working on JTL and turning a deaf ear to our words, so we can go out and buy that, and they can keep making enough money to keep supplying us with what sounds like good patches a week before, but turn out to be more crap.
WoW, here i come!

My own result out of this patch is :
my 2nd account goes BH now that I get so many xp's out of killing a new jedi I can easy xchange them 1:1 in the village and build up my second jedi while my 1st jedi waits after 3.5hours training outside in the wilderness 3weeks that his visibility vanished.
What I gonna do after also my second jedi can start I mean ok we talk here in about lemme check 4 month or so than my old jedi maybe was able to get another little box even still far from any really fighter cause quenkers still can kill him but I remember BH told me I have 85% Block skill ( still searching for that but ok may be something I missed on my little jedi). Ok after my old jedi worked 1 buff length and I am again on the terminals, I get out my new jedi maybe I can hold my visibility down long enough to get a Novice box and after 2 buffs and enough visibility gain outside of the cities where only quenkers can see me those gave me enough visibility to think about what I can dow with my new char out of Padawan...oh lemme guess I could make him BH, go FS and while xchanging BH xp 1:1 after killing 25k jedi I could think about making my 3rd jedi so I can play every week 1 time a jedi....
I hope thats not the end and its not a solution I think. I understand BH but on the other side I search for balance. One could be:
-Make BH train equal long to jedi let them train about 2-3 month until they can start on their first jedi kill and make there abilities that they may can fight a low lvl Padi 1vs1 and let them use weapons that have the same dmg max than a LS gen2
-end up the group Tef thing how long does it take to make a JK atm cant say with the new system but let a BH work on it at least 4 month to master before he can start hunting his 1st JK atm there is no JK not soloable by a good BH- there is no god modus stop in the end this illusion
-give BH more than jedi as target - BH is also a hidden prof in the end, a BH thats killing in the visibility of NPC or PC's with BH special shots or weapons should gain also a visibility and should be able to get on the boards cause as I see BH's are egoists, less population better profits? Also high rank faction members, politicians and Smugglers should have a fair chance to get on BH terms. I am jedi and BH and still wait for more variation of my BH and less pressure on my jedi. And I think I remember something like that from beta but unsure. If I drop a mission why shouldnt I get on the BH terminals after I droped 10 missions of a group like Black suns, etc (cant write down all mission givers here on the mission terminals )?
In the end I hope there is a way out of dilemma of the
BH howls : Jedi are sooo tough....I need 10 ppl to rock them down ( if u need 10 ppl u may think about ur profession and ur tactic)
Jedi probs: How can I lvl up when I loose more than I can earn
I dont want any person to quit the game because he see no fun in it, I also sign that no jedi should be able to run in cities handle his LS and should feel like a half-god... I hate that too
What I would wish : a little risk for every side, and every BH that is telling me I do jedi runs for the money be careful that no rancor mission could be possible or janta or or or. I want only a balance and a base those 2 groups could shake hands in a way.
I am a BH and it's not personal its my business....
P.S: I hope I wasnt to rude to any group if so I beg ur pardon. I only dont want to say it's bad or not that's too easy
Who founds any mistakes in grammar, spelling etc can take them as a gift

Jedi should now be able to completely clear their visibility after 3 weeks if they don't do anything else to increase it during this time. Visibility is gained when drawing your lightsaber or using force powers for each NPC or non allied PC within range.
So, I need to quit playing for 3 weeks to get off the terms. You have got to be
KIDDING ME!
Surely you are not going to leave this unreasonable "feature" in the game.
