Im one who is not for griefing. But after today I'm ready to start. I am agreeing with everyone else out there who is mad over this matter. I feel as if im being really let down. there is nothing in this game that i havent done yet. literally. i have done all the stupid little missions that you can get from the random people walking around.
some dev has to be listening. someone has to see how mad all these people are. we get so many promises and promises and we get let down three times as much. I have all the respect in the world for the people behind the scenes of this game who do all the work and such. but doesnt it bother you guys when something is said and it doesnt get lived up too.
i dont think the community asks for much. just something new and fresh to do. thats all we want. thats all we really ask. when i started this game every month there was something new todo or chase after. now i feel that maybe once ever 3 or 4 months we might get something to do. please i ask, plead and beg, just give us information keep us in the loop. and give us something to do once and a while. we know you want to fix things and change things we are aware of that but while your doing that throw us something with some content that we can depend on being around when we want to do it *cough* phase 2 *cough*
Hopefully this wont fall on deaf ears and that someone of the higher up staff will stop and realize something is wrong with SWG and its not just a techincal aspect.Don't get me wrong, I know there are some folks out there who have done just about everything and Jedi is a new experience for them, but there are those who bought the game, figured out how to get glowy and want their jedi right now. As a coder myself, I can only imagine the stuff their programmers go thru day in and day out trying to fix every little thing in a game of this aptitude. For those who think they are fixing the small items and not the bigger issues....im sure its still being fixed, but in the meantime of finding a fix they happen to fix a small bug/item or what not. People start hating this game because they become impatient, because they can't get what they want immediately. Then again nobody is forcing them to play, they log in, read the forums, and aggrivate themselves. But you are right on the information spread, perhaps they need to give out a little more community conversation rather than posting a change, or locking a thread without response. It would certainly ease alot of minds im sure.
exactly more open lines between us and them. Tell the people who want the specifics the details for those who dont want it dont listen. But just a rough idea of whats going on when it should occur. no big open ended responses. the human mind thrives on specifics.

I hope everyone that threatens to cancel because they can't get their jedi any faster does cancel their accounts.... Less whiners in the jedi world. Play the game for what it is. Nothing is perfect, nothing is fixed right away, and if you geniuses think you are better coders than SOE by all means go take a job their and do something about it. Just be patient for heavens sake and get off the coders backs, im sure they ARE trying to fix things so everyone is happy..... But not everyone will be happy, its just a round and round game of pleasing the peasants./petition for whiners to cancel accounts and let the real game players go back to playing without 90% of spatial chat flooded with "I WANT MY JEDI, WHERE IS MY JEDI"Flame away

Another joke, right up there with the craptastic 10.2. When are you devs going to learn? Up front here I will say good job putting the screws to Jedi. They've been coddled for far too long, 3 weeks visability is great. To those that don't like it, tough $4!7, your life if supposed to be a hard one, hunted to extinction. This isn't KOTOR, I don't care if you want to play a Jedi or not. I bought the GALACTIC CIVIL WAR GAME: STAR WARS GALAXIES.
Even with that said though, this patch is a ridiculous joke. For example:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Furniture
All armoires, bookcases, cabinets, and chests can now all hold items.
_________________________________________________________
BUT YOU FORGOT TO WRITE, "this change however, will not increase your housing storage by even one item, it's purely cosmetic." But you didn't want to write that. It would look as bad as your "Tienamen Square" post the other day.
Don't get me wrong, this is a fantastic idea, and one that has been wanted for a while, but do we want you using the one janitor you have actually working on the ground game on this? At this time? No way. We want combat fixes and everything else you said you'd "squeeze in" before JTL.
This is why I am posting, to ask you to please stop. You're embarrassing yourselves and pissing us off with these "mini-publishes." Stop doing anything for the ground game because you're not doing anything worth while except causing more bugs to fix in the next "mini-crap." Put that last janitor on JTL and just be done with it, so when it does release, it will have a chance of releasing bug-free so you can actually work on the ground game in November.
Oh yeah, thank you for the laugh. I cannot believe that you released a patch that was this sub-par on this particular day. Classic.
"For years you've watched the epic Star Wars battles."
"But what if you could actually live them?"
"Relive the classic Star Wars battles anyway you want."
"Shoot it, drive it, fly it."
"Star Wars BattleFront. Own it on PC September 21st."

So this patch only applies to Jedi activities and data base management. Ok, no surprise there, no one else counts.

Tiggs:
Clarificaiton and Questions:
1. Clearing of TEF by deathblowing the BH or being killed by a BH is a great fix, but what about clearing of the missions off the BH terminals? Does this clear the missions? Does it reset visibility? If not, then it is allowing a vicious cycle of infinite xp penalty for a single visibility event.
2. What is the definition of "drawing a saber"? Does this mean "igniting" the saber? If so, that is fine. IF it means "equiping" the saber then we have a problem since that weapon needs to be equiped for the Jedi's defenses to be active. Without it equiped Jedi are far too vulnerable (despite the fact that we'd like a belt equiped option to hide the saber from view under hooded cloaks, robes, inside a jacket, like seen in films and read in books).
3. What is an "allied PC"? We know many of us have tested being with just one or two other friends who were jedi, non-jedi, same faction, neutral, etc. and always ended up on the terminals either way.
4. Three weeks? SOE really wants people to logout for three weeks to clear visibility? I can see 3 to 4 days possibly, but a three week outage is a bit risky to the subscription base in my opinion. The "use the alternate character" concept is not really a good suggestion given this will be the main characters for the new folks coming along. Many of us "old timers" still spend time on our mains, but three weeks seems very excessive.

3 weeks to clear Visablity .. so ok i wont play for 3 weeks can I get a $10 refund for those 3 weeks I can play because I'm a Mid level Jedi and evey fuggin BH and his Brother will be farming me. Hi you people need to think. People will naturally take the path of least resistance and that hunting AKA Farming the easiest Targets .. the people that need the XP the most. Even if they Hunt a Knight with his Temp set IT DOESNT Matter to him if he looses XP BECASUE his Temp is SET .. My god please use your Brains?

POI are not fixed, they are on a 24H timer. This is why you see ATST
outside of Weapon Dev.
Currently the loot you can get is from NS and a couple of other spots.
30:1 ratiostill on...
My vendors are nerfed...
I willnot wait for JTL; anyway it would empty the planets so I am better
off playing some flight sim, or WoW, or Star Wars Battlefront.

For all of the Jedi complaining how hard it is to be a Jedi when you lose XP upon death... Always remember...
"Becoming a Jedi and surviving as a Jedi is very very very very difficultin Star Wars Galaxies: An Empire Divided. You have been warned." - Q-3PO
Notice he didn't say very difficult, or very very difficult, but instead said very very very very difficult. Anyone who wanted to be a Jedi had been warned. I don't know where that message disappeared to, but anyone who has been around a while should have seen it.
Be thankful they removed PERMADEATH, where you lost EVERYTHING when you died. They've made being a Jedi MUCH EASIER.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying being a Jedi is easy at all, but it is not supposed to be.

sorry to say the ball has been dropped. if george lucas were to see what a shamble was made of his universe you can be he'd pull the license and get some people with a clue.
this isn't even a shadow of what stars wars should be, is dreamt to be, could have been....
if one member of the dev team had ground a jedi witout cheat codes or power ups, knew the time and dedication it takes... there would be a little more respect for those of us who had. just sad that something i so looked forward to for so long is turning out to be such a total disappointment

I remember all that, but the term "nerf" implies that the limits were above what they are now when in fact the limit as it stands is the original limit and nothing about it has ever been "nerfed".

Whoa, hold on a minute... When did they "nerf" house storage limits? Are they now less than the original 150 items for a 2 lot house?
End of last summer they imposed housing limits. It wasn't originally 150 items per 2 lot house. The day that patch hit I think it was bugged and all houses could hold only 50 items total even though patch notes said 75 items per lot. Then then fixed this to be75 items per lot but not over 250 items total. At that point in time they said it was temporary (kind of like the temporary daily server restarts). I think this was in and around the time that they started nerfing creature handlers but could be wrong....after a while all the nerfing kind of blends together
i belive this refers to the exploit where houses could have 1000's of items
