Another thought to add to my last post.......

When aquiring the armor, whether craftable or not, the owner should be able to choose the coloring specifics of the suit and then as I saw just posted, maybe having the option of including one specific upgrade to the suit. But still keeping it inline with being tailored to each individual ECP, so as to truly make each suit unique.

Either way the devs will be flamed.. nor they will make it bh only and all other elite proff will want an armor of their own... now will make it wear by evryone adn u will see master dancers flourishing arround and makin smoke bombs in the mighty armor.. dunno what u think boys but second doesn look the best option to me

And the dollar signs in the Armorsmiths' eyes pop up again.

Craftable? Please. In canon, there are no more NEW suits of Mandalorian armor. In this game it's going to be "Oh, drat, that suit's getting old...time to call my favorite armorsmith and give him 1 mil (or more) for a new set."

As for limiting who can wear it, I don't think it should be limited, and I AM a bounty hunter. Personally, I think armor should have certifications just like weapons.

I'm not even going to bother reading most of posts in this thread, I know the general gist of it is a screaming match between BH/Commandos vs. other combat professions, fighters vs. crafters, and various Star Wars fanboys with differing knowledge of the EU. I just have this to add.

Most of Mandolorian doesn't look that distinct. The plates on top of a softer, protective padding basically looks like ST armor minus a lot of plates and colored differently. But the HELMET is distinctive and pretty much iconic for BHs. Heck, ourBHmissiondata in our datapad uses a Mandolorian helmet as its icon. There's an extremely strong link between that helmet and the BH profession in the game.

Now, we also know from the EU that not all Mandolorian armor looks the same. From KOTOR, we saw a variety of different styles of it from the time period before the Mandolorian civilization really declined. From the comics featuring the Death Watch, we know that even the scout/light armor suits that some Star Wars fans think is the only type of Mandolorian armor around can vary. Specifically, the Death Watch had quite a different helmet design.

So I think it would be ideal if these two could be put together like so: Everything but the helmet of Mandolorian armor should be universally usable by whatever professions are going to get to use it. However, there should be different helmets. Only BHs and possibly commandos would be certified to use the more traditional helmet. A Death Watch style helmet should be usable by everyone. Considering what we'll probably be fighting in the dungeon, there's plenty of reason to come across one. The stats between the two should be exactly the same, it would just be an aesthetic distinction that would help preserve what little Star Wars atmosphere the game has left.

I see one problem with this scenario. Let's say that I (Rebel) have an Imperial counterpart with a new Jedi. I say hey man, let me kill your Jedi 100 times soI can get the suit.

However on the plus side, this is a pretty cool idea.

Being a AS, its pretty frustrating that there gonna introduce another very rare and exclusive armour type (see. RIS) I'd rather they implement more interesting and affordable new types of armour for the entire community preferably using armour type certifications.

Saying that, why there working on 3! wookie armours is a bit overkill in my opnion. A lot of people have said about lining armoursmiths over bulging pockets with yet more millions, but to be honest, i'd be more than happy to have an alternative to comp. It''s pretty much all we make and not all of us do it purely for the money, as many of you seem to think we do. We wanna have fun in our proff just as much as you do, and theres only so much comp you can make before it does become boring. Mandalorian isnt going to improve the game. It isnt going to improve the AS proffesion (which i think was the main part of it coming in) And it wont remain rare, as the more people complain, the more available they'll make it (see. Jedi)

please, just this once keep the ArmorSmiths out of this. They are the richest characters as it is. Just allow the leet characters to camp the hell out of it and make it rare so just a few have it. Seriously people with mandalorian armor arent going to pve/grind it that means decay when dead. It will be just used in PvP or people walking around in it. Make it a great armor, that is hard to get. ArmorSmiths dont need to get any richer!

i think honestly the worst part about this game is stuff like having uber loot in places like the geo caves. As stated before, the good loot caves and such are SOOO camped its rediculous. While we are on the matter of loot, i HATE the crafting skill tapes and think they are the worst idea ever. you benefit those who basically either spend there whole pathetic day camping a loot depris pile in a cave to get a fricken +3 crafters experment tape. You basically are saying "this is fine GO DO IT" because what those people do is sell it to people who are already rich and if there already a +20 master crafter there maxes out with the 2 bonus exper points. I have known many in that catogory that are billionaires and that buy these fricken tapes just to destroy them so not many others are near there crafting level....i dunno i hate loot like that and think if your goin to do somethin bringin this armor in it BETTER not be like skill tapes and the other assorted uber loot crap...

/rant off....sorry bout that : P

OOOK now for my viewpoint...

Mandalorian Armor, made form some of the strongest aloys in the Galaxie. Ill now give u some FACTS:

FACT 1) Mandalorian Armor - Is wearable by all Humanoid (Head,Torso, 2 Arms, 2 Legs, Human DNA) persons.

There for this armor should be wearable by all Speicies, exeps Wookie due to their size and the Fact Wookies are seen as slaves not as fighters but as slaves.

FACT 2) Mandalorian Armor - Is worn by Bounty Hunters, Scavengers, Smugglers and All Members of the Mandalorian Clan.

There for should me able to be worn by all Profesions not just that of Bounty Hunter.

FACT 3)Jango Fett and Boba Fett were just 2 of many Mandalorian Hunters.

There for there should not be a limit to say 100suits of armor per server, allthow they should be a rare item I would suggest a drop and/or rare scematic.

FACT 4) Mandalorian Armor comes in many Colours.

There for there should be some customisation prosses, with a Main and Trim Colour.

And just for General Knowlage :

Jedi shouldnot be able to wear ANY armor, they need the maximum range of movement and unblocked sences. I was greatly suprised that they were able to wear everything from Bone to Composit but i would find it even more suprising if they could wear Mandalorian...

And for arguments sake YES some jedi have forn the HELMET and the HELMET only... althow that is hardly enough to allow them to wear a full suit in-game...

Besides Jedi in Jedi Wear soo soo dam cool!

So please before posting silly things like "Only BH shoudl be able to wear it" and "Can wookies wear it?" just read what has been posted... I actualy took the time to read this forum from the begining, and suprisingly 2 out of 3 questions are answerd already and then some one askes it AGAIN.

Please read the forum before you post... thank you for you time...

If u add it, just make sure its VERY rare and definitly UNCAMPABLE.

And about the cert .... lol there is no armor cert ingame and there shouldn't be ..... but just for myself i like the idea of certified armor ...... give MBH's a cert for this very rare uncampable loot and put a cert for composite to all other elite combat profs at master for composite armor except BH

Get'toc : Elder Jedi - Farstar day 1 player - Proud of wearing the 'Teras Kasi Elder Titile' to honor the coolest profession there has ever been in SWG . Black Epsilon Pilot Ace .

Xanea : Trader - Master Shipdesigner and RSF Pilot Ace / Xaneas Shipyard at Arakeen on Lok (closed atm because of spaceloot sickness)

Sharres : Spy by nature and RSF Pilot Ace , Smuggler Pilot Ace , Black Epsilon Pilot Ace and acutal Corsec Pilot Ace

The fact that EVERYBODY can wear the best composite with no real negative factors considering the fact that buffs are now more readily available via the steady doc buffs and chef foods is ridiculous. The only time we saw any of the HEROES wear armor was for the purpose of disguise. A person who would opt against armor is at a STAGGERING disadvantage. A person not wearing armor should be able to have a relatively even fight with a person in maxed stats full composite.
Bottom line Armor should be an alternate option not a requirement.

i agree Comp armor is way too commonplace, but are you insane? how would "A person not wearing armor" ever realistically have an even fight with a fully armored and maxed person in any realistic scenario? none of the heroes wore armor in the films because you don't want to hide you stars' faces/expressions under armor. it's a movie and it's nice when we try to work things in the EU so they link up with the films, the movies simply do not have a lot of logic behind them in certain areas that Lucas did not concentrate on. if we regarded armor in SWG is it is in the movies, it would be totally useless, except to hide your identity and keep you alive after a horrible accident (Vader).

also, please consider that comparing anything a normal player can or cannot do to any of the main characters in the films is like comparing a kid in a high school play to Tom Cruise.
