I like the idea of what you are doing Devs, just wish something would come out officalliy for those peeps that haven't unlocked yet on thier silent holo prof. I can't ask for to much, so this is good. If a DEV can respond and let us know, that's be great.
Peace to the Rebellion and to the Empire...nay, kill the Empire

We will come out with more info, and it will be fair.

But why not stop the grind right now? Just play! You are going to make it soon enough anyway, and the village is very fun!

JUST PLAY!!! YES!!! Just play the game right? That sounds like a good idea!

O wait, the game is broke, the GCW has no point, CB is long over due, There isnt any Content in the game!

PLAY WHAT, You have nothing left in the game for me to acutally be interested into, and your "carrot"(Jedi) is no longer carrying me through your BS that you feed the subscribs, of promised fixes, which never come or just bugged more. False hope and disapointments with your add ons. And I love how helpful your CSR's are, "Do you have a problem", "Yes?, well I cant do anything for you".

Great news... cant wait for more info.

Thanks Devs...

But funny how you went from unlocking 6 trees... one side of the spectrum. To filling them all in... the other side! Just makes me wonder what you were thinking from the get go!?!?

But anyway.

I think that the silent Holocron proffession should count for more than the four you knew. Also you should just be given the XP points and be able to apply them as you wish.

1 Holocron = 15% of the total XP required.

2Holocron =30% of the total XP required.

3Holocron = 45% of the total XP required.

4Holocron = 60% of the total XP required.

Every 5 non-Holocron proffessions= 5% of the total XP required.

So if you had the 4 Holocron proffessions and 25+ additional proffessions you would be at 85%.You didn't guess the silent professionso you have more work to do which is as it was originally intended.

Let the flames begin.

No flames, well not from me anyway. I think that'd be fair although I might change the numbers a bit. Perhaps something like:

Award hologrinders the highest of:
[1] 3% FS xp credit per profession masters, OR
[2] 10% FS xp credit per holocron profession mastered (to a maximum of 5 profs and 50%)

That way, someone who did 3 holocrons, got a silent, then ground out 10 more professions (one of which happened to be one of the 8(?) holocron professions ultimately needed) would get a 40% xp credit on six of the FS trees (the higher of [1] 13 * 3% (39%) or [2] 4 * 10% (40%))

One the other hand, someone who ground out 29 professions without unlocking (assuming they got 7 out of 8 of their hidden professions) would be awarded with 87% xp credit on six of the FS trees. (the higher of [1] 29 * 3% (87%) or [2] 5 * 10% (50%))

At one end of the scale, someone doing one holocron would get 10% of the xp needed (rule [2]) and and a very unlucky (though hardworking) person who ground out 31 professions would get a 93% xp credit.

Anyway, something like that seems like it'd be fair to all. I'm sure the Devs will do something vaguely along those lines although I'm positive their numbers will be a bit different. But if I were King...

Here's the way I would think about breaking it down:

Holo #1 = Completed Phase #1 Quests

Holo #2 = Completed Phase #2 Quests

Holo #3 = Completed Phase #3 Quests

Holo #4 = Completed Phase #4 Quests

Two Mastered Professions = ONE FS Tree Unlock

One Mastered Profession = One FSSkill Box

So, if I have completed all 4 known Holos, I can start to Unlock my 6+ FS Trees that I need in order to get my 24 FS Skill Boxes. Now, presuming I want to do 6 trees all the way to level 4.

12 Mastered Professions would open the 6 FS Trees I chose.

1-20 Mastered Professions open up to 20 FS Skill boxes.

Now, I have mastered 24 professions. So, I would have my 6 FS Trees open, and then 12 of my 24 FS Skills done. Then I can convert my current EXP's to FS exp and grind my last 12 boxes of FS.

Of course I would love to be furnther along in the system, but I think this would be a fair compensation.

Oh, I forgot something. People who have done lots of professions but have not unlocked their Jedi slot should get some credit (if they wish) toward the initial FS unlocking quests. Perhaps let them automagically unlock one FS quest per holocron profession they mastered?

Looking forward to Tuesday....

My understanding is that the village is a lot more grinding. Also, with it being all in one area and all the people that will be doing it at one time won't it be seriously lagged? I know on TC2 it was camped during phase 4 so badly people weren't able to hit them. And this is with a cap of 500 people. It is going to be ugly on the servers. I can only imagine what Bria will turn into. Poor Dathomire.

Yea im afraid thats whats gonna happen to SO i suggest a limit time on being in the actual village itself per day. Maybe like on hour a day allowed in and 300M around the village. So bloody campers and advertisers wont be creating a huge amount a lagg. If alot a people are still on dathomir this will still generate a **edit** load a lagg. But maybe we can make the numbers instead off 500 people in the village to 200 people in the village this way.

Just a taught...

Basically, IMHO, the game is ruined. The whiners and complainers have successfully ruined the whole idea. Basically what has happened here is... The people who worked hard and grinded their Jedi are now in the same league as those people who were lazy and instead of grinding their Jedi they went off and exploited a few holocrons and than proceeded to make tons of cash in a profession. So what we have now is grinded Jedi's with no credits (poor) and the lazy Jedi's with tons of credits (whiners and complainers).

Why should these lazy players benefit from both their laziness and their holocron exploits? Obtaining Jedi status should be a tough road. We all thought that SOE finally realized this in Patch 10 but now, in the last week, this will change yet again to make it terribly easy. And to further add insult to injury, we will have hundreds of newbie Jedi's with no experience in the grind (hard work) bothering people yet again as we did pre-patch 9.

I seriously hope this decision re-considered for the negative ramifications it will have.

Look, you call me lazy? I unlocked just a week past P9 came to live. I mastered almost everything (28 masters). Just because I was late by only one week you are calling me lazy? Yes I did credit grinding by doing missions, yes I was selling crafted stuff, yes I was selling resources and loots, you call me lazy for that? Yes I helped alot of newbies to become successfull in game, to get fun of it - you call me lazy for that? Yes I made alot of friends ingame - you call me lazy for that?

I'm not the only one who did that I know more people did the same thing as I did. We are the game elders, who are the heart and soul of the game. Why disapoint us? Why make us nervous? Why lie to us?
