Thread: IT 6-6: Imperial Crackdown: Some changes made based on In-Test Feedback
Red read what he is saying.
The manual says when we open ourselves to PvP by incurring a TEF by purposly attacking a NPC.
Not when a game mechanic opens us up to PvP without our intent.
silver anytime you are in as acovert rebel you are open to pvp man , thats simple , thats why there are covert scanners , and other crap in the game , being in the GCW is PvP , sorry but thats just the way it is you 2 are fighting a losing war , you know you have the evidence right there and still refuse to accept the facts ,
but its ok pwy man good job defending your point i love you man lol
now i have to get going cause my cell phone is being ringing all this time from a chick i was suposed to meet 30 minutes ago lol
see you all later when i come back ill see what kind of arguments you guys put up ![]()
The game is based off of Star Wars, not Smuggler Wars. I want Smugglers to have new content too, but forcing the game to change away from Star Warsjust for you is very selfish. Stromtroopers would *NOT* Scan Vader, Veers, or anyone of such a high rank cause they would be SHOT!
As far the Rebels getting overt, thats great! makes *me* want to play a Rebel now for once cause now I have a reason to avoid Stromtroopers rather than slaping them in the face. I dont see why any Rebel would be angry over this, its great content for you. Unless your a PvP guy who wants all the power then yeah, I can see why your upset, so I give you a big Boo Hoo. As for the Role Playing, Star Wars Rebel Fans out there, I think you would be excited to learn the Empire is finally joining SWG.
BTW, for the Non-PvP players who joined a side and are ticked off about this, ask yourself, why you joined a side, if your not PvP, then it must be for RP, if its for RP then your a Star Wars fan who should like this change. But if your not an RPer, then why the heck did you join a side? Just for the heck of it?

Remember that one of the main philosophies of this game is if you do not want to play PvP, you do not have to. - ThunderHeart
you're making assumptions though. You're assuming that he meant: "you (can be a covert rebel, and) if you do not want to play PvP, you do not have to."
Perhaps he meant: you can be a neutral chef and if you do not want to play PvP, you do not have to." You can't gerrymander this game, nor can you take a very general statement about gameplay and apply it to your own specific situation. There are plenty of ways a person can play in this game, interact with others, fight others, PvE and still not be a faction member. Please don't use TH's singular statement to validate your own when there's no way of proving his intention was to give rebels/imperials the right to do whatever they wanted without incurring possible risks.
Then we can agree to disagree. I am only stating what's in the manual and what TH said, that's all, I am not adding my own Ideas to anything nor my own words.
No Forced PvP, you can PvP when you choose, and that is even when you are factioned. Both those statments are both written in Chapter 16 of the manual under the Galactic Civil War. Granted there is no Neutral Chapter discussed anywhere. But I don't add words to the manual.
If your out in the wilderness killing pickets as a covert rebel .. your chances of being attacked by an aggresive creature are EXTREAMLY higher then you getting scanned in the wilderness.
besides that standing around as a troop of ST's walks your way and starts to scan you is not a smart thing to do.. best idea would be to hop on that bike and let that troop pass.. unless of course you want some yummy faction =)
