In now way will the exp grind for jedi be any easier. It just means BH's don't have a free pass for killing players anymore.

One thing I've wondered about is why does your newly created Force Sensitive character have to be aligned with the rebels? Why not have them start neutral like any other character?Dont tell me Darth Maul started out as a rebel then decided to switch to the dark side later in his career. It just doesn't make any sense to me. Plus I don't believe it's very practical. Why not allow new jedi to join either faction and at that point make it permament? Rebel bounty hunters need jedi to hunt too. Makes no sense to have them hunt rebel jedi.


Or am I completely mistaken concerning this? It's hard to get accurate information when so much is not widely known.


If I am correct, I think changes along the lines I mentioned would be great for the GCW and help make this profession more enjoyable.

goddamit, so im on my 12th prof, u think im gonna continue to grind now, **edit**. this has just stalled my interest in playing. i need cocrete answers devs. alot of holo grinders wont continue only to get shafted before opening. BIG MISTAKE DEVS.


the best and the most rewarding proffesion in the game should take a long time to get, i mean since when do casual gamers have level 50 characters in any mmorpg?, but the devs want both type of players to be equally succesful? BAD MISTAKE, dont foget that powergamers keep u getting a paycheck.


well i have completely lost interest in playing now, i cant beleive it. i hope i get some concrete answers soon so i can play and not feel like im wasting my time grinding.

about time. Hologrinding was killing SWG. I'm glad the devs had the foresight to reward current hologrinders in some way.

SOE didn't say anything about making jedi any easier.


Great job Devs! I love the change. Grinding professions was ruining our economy. Also grinding professions that you don't want to play isn't any fun to begin with. Quest based systemsounds like a fun way to unlock your slot. You just have to make it so that power gamers can't become a jedi in a month. My suggestion would be to have quests that take months to complete. You start the quest and before it ends you may have to wait for a rare resource to spawn to complet the mission.

yeah they did, what do you call taking out permadeath? No permadeath is something that makes being a Jedi easier.

Thanks dev, for ruining this game now. You guys should watch the movies and read the books. Jedi are exstinct. You make thousands and thousands of jedis run around fearless. Swinging at anybody in town. Your going to lose alot of players account or make them pissed off. This is our world, not your!!!!!!!! We should protest against this. We should make a vote on this matter.Not a dictator dev

I mean come on, I've spent hours and hours grinding through several professions, and now you change the requirements to open a force slot ? What the hell is that !!???

I doubt this gets read or noticed, but I did say this is what would happen as soon as SOE had enough Jedi to put up it's big full page pre Christmas sales rush ads. That is that they would change the "secret" method to becomming a Jedi so as to cut the Jedi intake. Um, looks like I was right, again, about the Marketing dept at SOE.


You guys should run for President, or at least work on the campaigns, because you could teach any of them a thing or three about the word duplicitous.


Oh, and so I'm again on the record, I do not belive you will allow the work people have already put in to count for much, if at all. Either you will tell us that while you wanted it to count it was to hard to do from a programming point of view, the database couldn't handle it or you had to run the special interests out of, oh, oops changed B.S. lines.


Or, that it woud be unfair to those who had to come up under the new, and nearly impossible ultra secret, you'll have about as much luck at hitting the lottery as getting Jedi now, system. (That is until the NEXT time SOE needs a big marketing push at which point it will be a gimme again for a couple of months.)


OR, third, you will tell us people got credit but only for work they did before Christmas 2003, as the Holocron's upset the balance to much, and when you announced this change people all started grinding like crazy to beat the dead line. (Which they did because they didn't believe your credit for work put in promise any more then I do. )

Um...any player can kill a Jedi player, not just Bounty Hunters. And how do Jedi get TEFed....by being stupid and increasing their visability. Don't think that Bounty Hunters really give a crap about the Jedi. We are just absolutely sick and tired of being ignored for 6 months and stuck with a broken profession while the Devs are revamping a profession that is like 2 month old.
