Thumbs up for removing the grinding system!! ![]()
But removing the permadead, will ruin the jedi profession .... Lets face it, most of the people here want their character to be special, hell Ill bow to any master jedi in the game now. Well done, hard work rewards itself! But come on, how many Master Jedi's should there be, before the fun is over?? 50 ?? 100 ?? 500 ??
Think about it SOE, watch the movies, how many Jedi's are there between movie 4 and 5, not many, whichthere shouldnt be here either!
With the new system, a Jedi player can just take a break from his Jedi character for a few days, and go back without being punished much! The game will die, if this gets made, drowned in Jedi's!
Now in the game, Jedi's take great pains not to be found, they travel in numbers, which makes it hard for BHs to get them, and thats even if they could track them, and if they only got real working mission from the BH terminals!
There should at least be some kind of permadead counter, 50 deads ... hell I dont know what it should be, but please think this one through, it doesnt hurt, only the game if the wrong decision is made in haste to please us players!
Thats my 50 cents, on this issue, I truely hope Im wrong! ![]()

the best and the most rewarding proffesion in the game should take a long time to get, i mean since when do casual gamers have level 50 characters in any mmorpg?, but the devs want both type of players to be equally succesful? BAD MISTAKE, dont foget that powergamers keep u getting a paycheck.
Actually, power-gamers have traditionally been only a small part of MMORPG "income." As a matter of fact, power-gamers tend to suck up more than their "fair share" of resources, both technical and content-wise.
A casual gamer will still pay the same monthly fee, suck up less tech support/CSR/QA resources, am far easier to please when it comes to game balance, do NOT post bad things on the forum... etc. The only thing is, casual gamers tend to have higher churn rates.
Of course, power-gaming is a way of life, and a fundamental phenomenon to MMORPGs. If you have rules and stats, you will have people who try to maximize their stats and work the rules as much as they can. But saying that power-gamers "keep u getting a paycheck" is unfortunately non-realistic.
THANK YOU!!! THANK YOU!!! THANK YOU!!!
I think these are great ideas. This will limit afkers in all professions and make Jedi important.
THANK YOU!!!
