We need Decay addressed, and we need it atleast temporaryly addressed and fixed THIS publish much like we were told would happen.

Yet another possible temporary alternative until the Devs can get it fixed is that ALL insured deaths result in 0% decay rather then 1% decay until the Devs can get a proper handle on the situation.

I find leaving the GCW and PvP in complete tatters and zero activity as simply unacceptable for this publish.

Thuderheart...All the 1% isurance stuff aside, I was wondering why items even deacy a certain percent. It seems like it would make more sense to have items decay a certain amount of condition...so that higher condition items would last longer. If craftsmen can experiment for higher condition, those products would then gain another cool measure of value.

TH, Heh, It really makes usfeel confident that you don't even freakin' know that WEAPONS don't decay on death! If you DID know you obvious didn't CARE enough to check your post of tripe before submitting it.

This is CRAP pure and simple. Any freakin' programmer KNOWS that the game CAN track it! Maybe it's not "easy" but I assure you it can be done. It doesn't matter what "mechanic" it is!

I love how you treat your GCW correspondants too...

LEAVE THE **edit** DECAY OUT UNTIL YOU KNUCKLEHEADS FIGURE THIS OUT!!! STOP MAKING US PAY FOR YOUR MISTAKES.

2000+people ask for the **edit** decay to be removed and yet SOE can't figure it out... No wonder you are trying to get people to"come back" fora 2 week trial... People are fedup and leaving in droves. If you pull this crap I ASSURE you there will be many more to come. We've had enough of this crap....

and a sad sad story for ya.

i bought2 really kick ass sets of Limited Edition 80% Kinetic comp from teh best armorsmith on the server. Before getting them sliced, they were both wearble unbuffed. I got one suit almost entirly enc sliced, and 1 almost entirly eff. I dropped the eff off in my house because enc is just better. After 2 weeks, and multiple PvP deaths (even though i've insured EVERY SINGLE TIME) my armor is down to 30-40%. Yep, 2 weeks.

Now, i have no more money to buy armor (spent all my extra on resources for my chef grind). So what does this do to me? it destroyes all chances of me actually winning in PvP once my armor decays. It destroys my livelyhood (running missions) as i can't survive without armor (even doc buffed).

So what this does is generate increased revenue for the already insanely rich armorsmiths (and i mean insanely. The guy i bought my armor from had 100 suits of LE kinetic and 100 suits of LE heat, kinetic was 750k a set and heat was 1.25 million a set. he sold out completely. thats 200 million credits for an already rich person).

The most i've ever had is 4 million, because i hate running missions all day just to get creds for tomorrow. I just barely got in on the resource business (/doh self) and i'm hoping that'll get me some more creds too, but i'm not counting on it.

Decay in PvP not only has ruined PvP, but destroyed all chance of me making money other than resources, because i'm constantly having to buy new armor after 2 GODDAMNED MOTHER **edit**ING WEEKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Armor already decays without death. Decay was taken off of weapons for that exact same reason. Simple solution #1-remove the 1% decay on insured death

#2-remove armor decay on death period. Weapons don't do it, and neither should armor.

You can either do this, or watch this game crumble around you blissfully ignorant ears.

I have to agree with the GCW Correspondent. Item decay ( especially Armor ) is TOO FAST right now, it is way faster than in any other MMOG. It needs to be toned down.

I had just gotten my faith back in PvP, was gonna get my brand new 350k set of armor sliced and ready, then this. Just rediculous TH, you did not mess up on your friday feature, the devs have been saying for a while thatPvP decay is going away, please stop lieing to the public. So your saying all those posts made before the friday feature about decay going away were typo's too? You really gotta quit this lieing business, your no good at it.

I *think* I understand what TH was saying regarding not being able to tell if a death was from PVP or PVE.

Every GCWplayer and NPC has a certain faction related to it, forget creatures. When you are killed, be it an NPC or another player, you lose faction based on the NPC or person that killed you. There is no mechanism that says, hey a player just killed you, instead it says a "rebel just killed you", it could be a NPC or it could be a real player. It doesn't really matter, all that matters is that it subtracts from your Imperial faction.

The only way I can see this working is if they remove decay not just from PVP but alsofrom PVE when it relates to the GCW. It seems like this would be possible because the faction is recorded in a manner such that it subtracts from your personal faction. There should be a way to coordinate this info to the decay system.

Let's see. This patch has no combat fixes. No Group TEF fixes. No fixes for GCW issues(uh Base issues anyone). And now you come here and tell us the one thing people were excited about, is not possible, or was a lie all along.

But we do get new hats for Chefs, Paint Cans for our speeders, and the Jedis (

400...and I say 400 SUITS were sold out in 2 hours at over 275k for each SUITS!.

100 millions worth sold in 2 hours and he could easily sold more if he had the inventory because I and many other went there left and were left empty handed!

"The single most important thing to remember when creating a game is that it must be FUN. When someone sits down to play your MMO, they are doing so to be entertained. An MMO should not feel like a job or obligation. It's very important not to fall into that trap of trying to manipulate your community, as if you're trying to run an ant farm. As a designer, it's your responsibility to create a world that's exciting, challenging, and FUN. It's not your job to play god over someone's play experience."

-Jeff Kaplan, Assistant designer on World of Warcraft

Basically sums up where the SWG devs went wrong. I don't think I've ever been this upset with SOE before.

The Kitten's Diary, Day 781: I have discovered a most delightful way of making life miserable for my captors. Yesterday, I ate the woman's precious begonia, and today I have dismembered the amaryllis in the bedroom window. She is furious over the loss of her darling house plants! I find it highly gratifying.
