From Pet Wars to Whine Wars

And since the majority of people areRebels and seem to be so good at whining ...... you all got what you wanted.

I just hope you enjoy PvP'ing by yourself or dueling other Rebels =)

People keep forgetting that DOTs usuallyscale accordingly to HAM size. More HAM won't change a thing since the dot will just do more dmg. If someone uses healtshot2 on a player, it'll maybe dot for 150 or so a tick, but use the same bleed on a 15k HAM NPC and it'll dot for 900 or so. DOTs are not affected by 75% damage reduction either.

I think it's kinda absurd to say the majority of players wanted these changes, since the imperials are clearly outnumbered according to the overall server stats.

Are the devs even listening?

Why the hell should they go make atst's useless?

HELLO SOE an atst costs 189000fp for a zabrak and ingame fp price is 120c/fp - 140c/fp - so you need

like 2-2,5mill to buy one if you are a zabrak like me. Does SOE think that money come over night?

KEEP ATSTS THE WAY THEY ARE, and if you are gonna go change them make them FIRE res.

You say they are WAR MACHINES, true, they are. Isnt therea galactic war going on? so why shouldnt you be abel to use them everywhere. SOE listen to the IMPERIAL players and not the whining rebs, give the rebs a faction wookie with 900 ham so they shut up. Took me pretty long time to become a master smuggler and get some money so i could buy all the fp i wanted to get atsts and now, SOE is making all my effort into CRAP.

If u change the atst's im not paying for another month, infact ill never play a SOE game again.

I want my ATST so i can go solo <insert some giant hard ass creature name here>

i still fail to see why it is so bad that imps can go out and solo krayts, etc. we are the empire, we should have all thelatest and greatest **edit**. one way of getting the "l33t" gear is to slice it with kryat tissue, etc.

im100% positive that the emperior would not want the rebels or any one but the empire to have this cool **edit**, so im guessing that he would send his troops out to hoard krayts and other stuff to prevent the rebels and other from having it.

So what do we, as Rebels, have that is comparable? NOTHING. So quit bitching and be happy that you have anything worth spending faction points on.

They are making it nothing but stronger with the 46,000 extra HAM they get. Where exactly is the nerf?!
[/quote]

You DON'T.

Comments like these make me wonder if you've even seen the movies or read any of the books. Your supposed to be the underdog, not the top dog. Where the story line currently is, the Rebels have just blown up the Death Star, using outdated fighters (except the X-Wing) and having a much much smaller force than the Empire. Yet they still destroyed the Death Star.

The Rebels do not have any type of walker at this point in the story line. If they devs are sticking to the story line, then you won't be getting anything like a walker, so stop complaining that you don't have one cause your a Rebel.

Now removing AT-ST's from PvE and only for PvP/Faction Missons is fine, except for the fact taht right now AT-ST's are NOT worth using in PvP, nor will they be once you make these changes.

I would GLADLY use my two AT-ST's in PvP IF they didn't suck so bad in PvP, and were not so expensive! It took me a week of doing faction missons to save up enough faction points to buy each AT-ST, and I'm **edit** sure not going to waste two weeks of my time in thirty seconds, cause thats about how long a AT-ST currently lasts in PvP, thirty seconds! I don't see how these changes will make them last any longer either.

Ok, I'm sorry, but I had to say something... The AT-ST's may not be so expensive soon AND they are adding 46,000 HAM to it. That will make it last much longer...

You should be sorry, cause its clear you haven't a clue what your talking about. Lowering the AT-ST's armor, and giving it more HAM doesn't change anything.

The FIRE DoT is what people are complaining about, currently the AT-ST is worthless in PvP because of it, and still will be once this nerf goes into effect.

If the devs want to leave it that way, fine. Then they NEED to lower the faction point cost of an AT-ST.

No one uses these in PvP right now, because they are to expensive to lose in thirty seconds, and still will be with this nerf.

Try doing faction missons for a week to save up 9k for one, then lose it in thirty seconds, and thats if your HUMAN. Non-Humans have to save up 18k!

Thunderheart, why aren't AT-STs deployed as vehicles? With player vehicles becoming a reality this seems even more feasible. Using AT-STs as vehicles has a very simple balancing factor to it. Firstyou can only pilot one vehicle at a time. Also AT-STs should move much slower over rough terrain than most mounts so outrunning one would be a viable option for the opposing Rebels. An added benefit of making AT-STs vehicles would be thatthey can now be repaired at garages, much to the delight of the Imperials. Really I think this would add the Star Wars feel to seeing AT-STs in the world. Make AT-STs what they were, vehicles.

Anyway that's my thoughts,

And yet by doing this you make the gap between imps and rebs even wider and i thought you where trying to even them out... well pretty soon there will just be all rebels and the game will be REALLLY fun huh ... well theres my 2 cents

Hi there,

I admit on not reading all posts, and most likely what I will say, has been said before. Nevertheless I want to leave some feedback of my own.

I just started to play the European version of the game about two weeks ago and after decades of loyal fandom joined the Empire. Of course a stormtrooper as a faction perk is quite a bit of fun and I really enjoy the screenshots I took so far.
Then as a newbie imperial in Bestine, I was slain several times by quite advanced rebells, moved to Theed to encounter the same problem there and moved again, to avoid this problem and to advance my character without bein PvPed every odd hour. It can be very annoying as a new non-master player.

Now I think it adds a lot to the Star Wars feeling of the game, if I patrol the city where I currently am located, wearing the imperial officer uniform and having my three stormtroopers in tow. The sentence "Citizen, do you require assistance." has become common ground for me, as the Empire takes care of its more loyal citizens. If accompanied by a friend of mine, with another three stormtroopers in tow, the Empire is really out, showing force. This - at least regarding my understanding of the novells and movies - is quite what living in the Empire after the Battle of Yavin 4 was all about.

Another beautiful instance was, when five players with their troopers grouped and formed an imperial squad for battle. I cherish that screenshot, because there I knew I was in the Empire.

What has become a simple fact of life for me is that I need to store my troopers immediately, if I see red dots on the threat display in the major cities. The faction points are to hard to earn to loose the troopers to maxed-out rebell players.

So to my understanding of this thread, the stormtroopers do not weigh this much in battle agains players, while they can be very useful or at least entertaining on faction missions. The creature handler - and I concurr with the option that the real pets of the imperial era are droids - can still have three faction troopers as well as three pets. So I see his perk sustained.
I am willing to conceed that the number troopers should/could be related to the rank a player holds. Then rising in rank would make sense to me, finally.

Otherwise, I do concurr with other posters that now imperial faction perks become less and less interesting, and if I had not been a fan of the Empire (for looks, not ethics) I would seriously consider to leave it now.

And yes... I to learned it to be more valuable to do most faction missions on my own and mostly use troopers as backup. But sometimes it just adds some fun to the game to move out to high-level missions with a lot of troopers in tow, and really "play a part in the civil war, raging throughout the galaxy".

Well.... just my 2cents (European, not US)

Kind regards

Sirrek Thark

Hmmm... Only reason I quoted is because these thoughts have crossed EVERY rebel I know EVERY time they see an AT ST.

What if they took the dang things completely away?

Oh! I know! You would all refuse to fight because THEN and ONLY THEN would we be on an even standing, and we all know (as is evident by this thread) that Imperial players detest anything less than a sure win, lol.

I have a rebel and an Imperial player... as a non bias player, I would have to say that AT STs are right on as far as movie accuracy.... Rebels are weaker, and in lower numbers in the movies.... The first scene in start wars is rebel troops getting their cans kicked by storm troopers rushing into their start ship. Right now ever server rebels outnumber imperial's by at least 2 to 1... is that the way it was in the movies? Stick to FPS games bro... since you don't know your role as a rebel.... stick to simple games to where you don't have to think as much....
