Thread: Membership has Its Rewards!

my account was started the day of launch and had a few month hiatus and just recently (about two or three days) was cancelled by mistake...... will my account be considered only a couple weeks old?
No, any active time you have accrued will contribute towards your veteran rewards
What if you delete your character that selected a reward milestone (and so the reward is deleted too), or delete the reward itself? Can you choose again?
Since the rewards are based off accounts and not characters, deleting your toon and moving to another server somewhat sucks
Weapons are included. Just take a look at page 3 at the bottom and page 11, 3rd from the bottom. Both posts were made by Calandryll.

Honestly this doesnt make much sense. It was said that it can only be used on items that can be, keyword here, INSURED. Now with that being said, which weapons are actually insurable? Unless Im using the wrong weap I havent found one that is lol. And if it can be used on weapons why would crystals and pearls be left out of the equation?

Can we have a clarification about weapons?
-They can't be insured but you said that we can use the no decay item on weapons
-If that is the case, will it stop battle decay? Because they don't decay upon cloning.
In my opinion the rewards should be non-tradable but it makes no sense that you only get 1 per account. If they aren't tradable (like mark of hero ring) there's no cross-server trade problem.. yet it allows those who play on more than one server to actually enjoy the rewards.
Anyway, they should really be non-tradable: everyone is worrying about no decay items used to save the condition of exceptional weapons, but in the other hand if they are tradable one could keep a BE suit with skill mods forever.. which would once again raise the price of CAs.
-Correct. The anti-decay kit can be used on weapons.
-Yes, it stops battle decay.
As far as the items being tradable, remember you'd have to actually find people willing to part with their rewards. While there will be some people willing to do that, I don't think it will be the norm. Especially for the 6 and 12 month rewards.
Sorry to say it won't be that uncommon. Especially for veterans. A new player won't get 3-4 accounts to start off. But most veterans I would say are managing at least 2 accounts by now and have access or the ability to gain a few more. I played with a few that had about 8 accounts at one time. Not everyone quit SWG in my PA when WoW or EQ2 came out. They put their accounts up for adoption. Now that SWG is on the Station Access those guildies are coming back meanwhile all of those accounts were accruing time towards veteran awards because they remained active.
The whole purpose of a PA is to pool resources and work as a team. If many are going to pick the anti-decay device, a community effort will be in place to ensure maximum result. And because these are tradeable, well need I say more? ThePA's that have the most accounts and that have been around since launch will benefit most from this. I'm not sayingPA's will have 30 anti-decay armor suits at their disposal. But gathering 2-3 suits with a few anti-decay krayt weapons is definately achievable without lots of credits or cross server trades (which were diminished when you made them "by account"). And those accounts that aren't at the 12 month milestone... will be eventually. So there's a few more devices. Keep adding these devices and the economy of the WS and AS will be affected. People do drop their professions and trade their weaponry and armor.
My suggestion would be to remove this item. The decay on items forces a demand for new armor and weaponry. Take that away then it's just EQ in space no matter what milestone its set at.
I love it.. how about no? how about make it non-tradable AND you cannot trade the item/weapon/shirt if there's an anti-decay kit applied?
If it's one item per person, it isn't game breaking. I love it how people worry about everything... for the same reason we could say that one with more accounts can have a lot of self-powered harvesters.. and thiswould be ashame because architects won't sell harvesters anymore
It's one item per 12 month milestone which many veterans have by now. I don't think you can grab the same itemif you reach the 12 month miletsone again. But that doesn't matter.Since the items are tradeable at this point many will find ways to obtain more than one anti-decay item. One of the easiest ways to obtain multiple anti-decay items is through having multiple accounts. I'm sure people will invent other ways as well once this goes live. I never said it would be game breaking but it will affect the economy to keep introducing non-decay items.
And I would accept that these items be made non-tradeable.

What is being done for the people that had to change their account because of that all access fiasco? My wife started playing from day 1 with me, and because her station name wasn't available at the time, she has already lost all her character (as they have to ban your account and issue a new cd key). It would not be fair for her to miss out on the veteran awards because of a poorly implemented and poorly executed plan to move SWG to the all access. Its not fun to miss out on or lose stuff due to no fault of your own and be told there is no way around it. She has already lost all her character, money, pets, yatch, her character name (which she was attached to), please dont take this from her too.
Is there a system in place to make sure she is not going to miss out on this?

The anti item decay kit is the best possible vetran reward ever. Did Boba Fett care about item decay on his Mandalorian armor when he wore it for all those years? I think not! This will make players want to try to do ultrahard quests that would take months to get- RIS armor, Mandalorian armor, etc. and feel rewarded for doing it. What is the point of spending months and months trying to build a set of these epic armors only to have the entire set decay ina week?
But the anti-decay thing is for one item. A suit of armor has nine peices so you'll only be able to put that anti-decay thing on one piece.
Onedevice for oneitem per account... multiplied by 3-4 accounts run by the same personor more with friends accounts that are "on break from the game"and... Voila! You have an anti-decay armor suit. Wookiee suits have less pieces so it'll be easier to achieve a complete anti-decay suit. Remember these are tradeable pieces.

I agree that the Anti-Decay kit sounds quite scary. Grab yourself an exceptional uber weapon with insane DOT's use the kit on it an you never need another weapon again. Sure its a one time deal but hell if the item you use it on is good enough. Not to mention these things are tradable. The uber rich just got something new to buy.
