I really wish it wasn't a 'per account' deal. It doesn't seem fair to those who have their fiance or little brother play on their account. Rewards should be per character, and non-tradeable
You aren't supposed to have more than one person playing on a single account, so I'm sure they're not going to allow for that.

It's true, but...
*pssst...*
/whisper I don't think they really mind that much. But you didn't hear that from me.

/whisper They may not "mind", but I'm pretty sure they're not going to make allowances for it, either.

Can we have a clarification about weapons?
-They can't be insured but you said that we can use the no decay item on weapons
-If that is the case, will it stop battle decay? Because they don't decay upon cloning.
In my opinion the rewards should be non-tradable but it makes no sense that you only get 1 per account. If they aren't tradable (like mark of hero ring) there's no cross-server trade problem.. yet it allows those who play on more than one server to actually enjoy the rewards.
Anyway, they should really be non-tradable: everyone is worrying about no decay items used to save the condition of exceptional weapons, but in the other hand if they are tradable one could keep a BE suit with skill mods forever.. which would once again raise the price of CAs.
-Correct. The anti-decay kit can be used on weapons.
-Yes, it stops battle decay.
As far as the items being tradable, remember you'd have to actually find people willing to part with their rewards. While there will be some people willing to do that, I don't think it will be the norm. Especially for the 6 and 12 month rewards.
Sorry to say it won't be that uncommon. Especially for veterans. A new player won't get 3-4 accounts to start off. But most veterans I would say are managing at least 2 accounts by now and have access or the ability to gain a few more. I played with a few that had about 8 accounts at one time. Not everyone quit SWG in my PA when WoW or EQ2 came out. They put their accounts up for adoption. Now that SWG is on the Station Access those guildies are coming back meanwhile all of those accounts were accruing time towards veteran awards because they remained active.
The whole purpose of a PA is to pool resources and work as a team. If many are going to pick the anti-decay device, a community effort will be in place to ensure maximum result. And because these are tradeable, well need I say more? ThePA's that have the most accounts and that have been around since launch will benefit most from this. I'm not sayingPA's will have 30 anti-decay armor suits at their disposal. But gathering 2-3 suits with a few anti-decay krayt weapons is definately achievable without lots of credits or cross server trades (which were diminished when you made them "by account"). And those accounts that aren't at the 12 month milestone... will be eventually. So there's a few more devices. Keep adding these devices and the economy of the WS and AS will be affected. People do drop their professions and trade their weaponry and armor.
My suggestion would be to remove this item. The decay on items forces a demand for new armor and weaponry. Take that away then it's just EQ in space no matter what milestone its set at.

I fixed my post when I saw that weapons are included. The request for a Dev response is not so muchfor which items, it's how will the anti-decay device work. Does it apply to any and all decay or just after death cloning decay? Although it may not be common there are ways to get full anti-decayarmor suits through lure of credits, a few alts, and a PA effort. You'll just have to browse the Trade Forums to see the requests. I know I will be able to get 2 of these from the 2 accounts that I own. I have a wookiee so that's a big part of our armor. If I can swing 1 or 2 more pieces I'll never buy armor again!
As a wookiee armor decay is nasty.. first you gotta find a smith that makes the stuff, on Sunrunner this in and of it self is an epic quest some times. Second the chest plate is head and chest so it takes huge amounts of damage. I go thru a chest plate a week and thats with repairing it atleast twice. If this freezes decay I will be at the armor smith buying a brand new suit of armor right away and getting it all sliced, which means I will likely be spending alot of credits right off the bat to get the exact slicing i want. Then I will us my 2 accts rewards to get kits to freeze all decay on the chest and legs. Then all thats left are wrists and they arent near as expensive to get as the 2 main pieces.

2. The anti-decay kit only works on weapons and items that can be insured.
for those saying it does not work on weapons. This makes me think that it stops all "battel decay" which i think is a common question so far.
dev responce please
Yes please, tell us how the antidecay kit is going to work, if it's going to have any restriction or it will just make a weapon like a mabari belt, with no condition at all. If it's going to be a permanent mod, or just for some time (or uses).
technically they wouldnt be giving up a reward by using a different tier to swap for one in a cross shard trade. but thats an aweful lot of trust in someone you prolly dont know...

Ah drat! Yes you are correct, I misread his post. You can get someone to trade items with you, but since it is only ONE item per milestone per account you'd have to find someone willing to give up a reward choice. Sorry about that.

Alright, fine. Different scenario. Say I have two characters, on different servers, on the same account, and I play both of them regularly. Same principle.
Perhaps the way it is, but certainly not the way it has to be.
Devs gave all characters holocrons, not just one per account. All characters could get Life Day presents, not just one per account. (And if I recall correctly, originally only one Jedi was supposed to be possible per account, and now every character can aspire to become a Jedi.)
I hate to seem ungrateful when this is such a wonderful gift. But because it is such a wonderful gift, limiting them to one per account just causes so many problems for families. But then all 8 of my characters will have a reward and I can trade with people on other galaxies and have 8 gifts for my character for each milestone. That would saturate the game with these items and dramatically decrease the value or 'uniqueness' of these items. (much like it did with Holocrons, Life Day gifts, anniversary paintings, etc, etc.) They wouldn't be much of a wonderful gift anymore. They would be commonplace.
Maybe it doesn't have to be that way, but it ought to be that way.
Well, I just don't see that as much of a problem. What I see as a problem is fighting over who gets the goodies.

You aren't supposed to have more than one person playing on a single account, so I'm sure they're not going to allow for that.
So I was supposed to tell my kids "Sorry this is my game, you aren't allowed to create any characters of your own" ????
I don't think so.....any more than I can say "All the veteran goodies are mine, mine MINE !!!!!"
