What an amazing slap in the face to paying customers. TH's cavalier remark shows how little the Devs care about what paying customers think or the questions they ask. If this were any other business, they would be in bankruptcy. Imagine going to your local dry cleaners to pick up your clothes and ask when they will be ready and the clerk tells you " I know if they are ready, but im not going to tell you. Youll just have to wait until im good and ready to let you know."

Get it through your overly thick skulls that we are the ones paying the bills around here. Without us, this site and this game would be gathering dust on some storage shelf. Im sick to death of stealth nerfs, bugs, the inability to stick to a schedule or the lack of care to address players needs and concerns. Ive asked questions in the past with a level of respect and understanding of the job you have to do. But asking nice is a waste of breath. We either get ignored or get a sarcastic response. You and every CSR, DEV and programer are here to make our gaming experience a fun one. Instead your directive seems to be to attempt to frustrate us at every turn. In my job I am a manager. Im responsible for a team of salespeople. I treat them with respect and our customers at an even higher level of respect. You dont understand the meaning of the word "respect". I expected so much better and got so little in return.

So, now, the real question is, who is the idiot that hired all the even bigger idiots to take a great game idea and run it into the ground?

  • Well I cansay that this is still frelled. I just started Nym's tonight and was able to do jinkins, but I went over to get the mission from Kole and he basically gives me the line like I completed the quest for him, when this is the first time I am talking to him. He tells me to go see Nym who won't talk to me yet because I am not actually flagged that I completed Kole. I have bugged this in game before posting here.

What a bunch of whiners play this game. Things happen when they happen. Everyone is trying to become jedi at the same time which would really make the game boring. There is meant to be more to SWG than becoming a jedi. If you can't be patient enough to wait for thigs to happen then find something else to do. So phase 2 has been delayed ... big deal. I don't know why but there will be a good reason for it.

I very much doubt any of you have developed anything on this kind of scale and can't even begin to comprehend the effort these games take. If you think you could do a better job then why don't you apply for one!

Constructive posts help developers more than just asking the same question over again. It is done when it is done no amount of whining on the boards will make it come any quicker.

Since this new system is in place of unused vendors, Would it be possible to put in a entry in the vendor status pop-up that shows the unused counter??? That way we can make sure that the counter has been reset and don't end up having a HUGE problem with vendors being deleted accidentally by this new process???

After reading JustG's post today in the jedi forums, and today's notes there are clear contraditions. The patch notes state that PCs of the same faction do not generate visiblity. JustG's clarification tells us that they do generate visibility although as a much lower rate.

Please, make is so that same faction PCs who are grouped with you do not generate visibility. This is a MMORPG, having to go solo at all times is definately bad for the game and against the spirit of star wars. Even as jedi, Luke and Obi-wan grouped with non-jedi friend of the same faction.

It's lack of communication and contradicting information that gets players so upset. Please, make clear patch notes and communications with the players a higher priority in order to avoid any more negativity from being generated between the players and the developers.

That asside, this is a good update. Furniture as containers are great, and now I don't have to grind out smug 00x0 to avoid loosing massive xp to gank squads.

In addition to JustG's pot in the jedi forums, one additional clarification would be greatly appriciated. What is the observation range of NPCs and PCs? Should I panic if I see a yellow or blue dot at 120m or am I ok up until 60m?

No clue if this will actually be read, but I've a couple things to mention.

First, something I already submitted a /bug report about.

Prior to 10.3, I stored some furniture in the bank (safety deposit) because I needed to move a house. I have stored furniture in the bank before, and had no problem.

Today, after 10.3 went live, I went to the bank to retrieve that furniture, and I can't. Out of 11 furniture items, I could retrieve just one - and that happened to be one of the items changed in 10.3, a bookcase. It showed up just fine. The other 10 items (chairs, tables, a potted plant, et al) have only two options on the radial menu: 1) examine, 2) destroy. Relogging, obviously didn't help, as they were in the bank already when I logged in today.

    -----------------------------------------------

Second, I went to submit a CS ticket to get those items fixed, replaced in my inventory, something... I could just destroy and replace them, but a) I'm leaving them there until someone can take a look to verify what happened (and maybe figure out why the update messed things up), and b) I didn't feel like taking the time to replace them (hard to find a furniture vendor with what you want much of the time).

Problem: now, before you're allowed to submit a CS ticket, you have to do a 'knowledgebase search', meaning you type in search terms and it's supposed to return a list of knowledgebase articles that might help you. I assume this was originally intended to keep people from submitting tickets on known issues that they were too lazy to find out about, but instead, it's preventing me from submitting a perfectly reasonable ticket.

When I saw what I needed to do, I was a bit annoyed but went ahead and typed in "furniture bank" and hit the search button, knowing there was essentially zero chance they already had an article about it. 10 minutes later, it was still searching. I closed the window and reopened it - it was still searching for those terms, or so it said. I cannot cancel the search, and it will not end. It's been well over 25 minutes, and I'm positive it's stuck somehow. It still says "Searching for matching articles..."

I'm going to exit the client and restart the game; if the window is still stuck that way, I'm going to /bug that too.

By the way, now you also aren't told the ticket number for your /bug report. Ridiculous; why not?

    ------------------------------------------------

Update: figured out ONE way to get the furniture out. Put a container in the bank, put the furniture in the container, remove the container. Still can't get it back out normally if I put one of those pieces back in, though.

Also, search window was cleared when I restarted the game - did a search for "furniture", which worked fine. I guess it just doesn't like multi-word queries... sad I didn't submit a CS ticket though, just left it at the bug report and left the furniture in the bank just in case someone decides to take a look and try to figure out what happened.

You do realize that game time stops when the servers are down during the maintenance cycle and thus 3 weeks game time = 3 weeks plus some hours real time? I guess Phase 2 will start either after tomorrow's serverup or the day after that.

Ummmm....what are you smoking and why aren't you sharing?!?

JustG later writes in the "Phase 2" thread:

A bit more info... the cycles are based on a specific number of seconds (1814400 to be precise) that is ticked off by system uptime.

The server resets the day after the cycle has ticked off. Again, the value can change based on village load. And the uptime can be affected by unexpected downtime (like maintenance, etc.).

So it really is approximately 3 weeks.

Now who has been smoking what, eh???

This patch isn't great at all. I've only seen things go down hill since I started back up I think 3 months ago. Lately all I've been hearingis peoplegiving idle threats about quiting. However, those threats are slowly starting become reality. I have well over 40 friends on the Scylla server alone and I'm lucky to see one or two of them on throughout the week. When I started to get back in the game 3 months ago there were at least 30 on at a time. Hell just a week ago they're were at least 10 on. Well anyways heres my opinion on the new patch. It just helped to further ruin this game that has great potential. This is the last threat I will make on leaving the game. Unfortunately foryou, many of my friends won't even bother posting another threat on these forums and I'm sure there are many more people choosing to do the same. We will take our buisness else where....

P.S.: I don'twant to be mean, but I'm fed up paying a fee for something I no longer enjoy... I've never had to type such a bad post on the forums and trust me I wasn't lookin forward to it.
