Thread: Live Issues Update Sept 3
Tiggs wrote:Thank you everyone that has reported bugs with this version. Those of you waiting for the old man in town please go out to the wilderness (the old man isn't much for concrete jungles). For those of you that enjoy riding (speeder bikes) all over will need to take a break and get some excercise (walk) so the old man can catch up to you (he is old afterall).
I've walked to and from Exar kuun's temple from the northern outpost (7km?) twice, with no appearance. Friends have seen him doing shuttle-shuttle hops in player cities, so I tried that for a day. Still no dice.
29 profession badges the day of publish 10, I've gone through the new requirements to be 'glowing' and it's been considerable time, and still no visit. It's disheartening.

Thanks for the thanks, and thanks for checking in. That said, I'd sure like to know when we can expect a real, tangible update on the issues with Pub. 10.
Thunderheart started to communicate in an unprecedently good way in this thread, and then all communication from any dev disappeared. Suddenly there were new test centers running to test hardware related to the JTL expansion, and NO further communication on the bugs introduced with this latest patch or any idea of when (or if) anything that is currently wrong with this game will be fixed.
In case the calendar has slipped by without anyone's attention -- September 7th (scheduled date to fix things like the text drop shadows issue) has long since come and gone, with not so much as an acknowledgment that the date had to be changed/revised/whatever for some reason.
It's extraordinarily frustrating when communication is promised and then not delivered on. And it's extraordinarily frustrating to see patch after patch introduce bug after new bug, with little or no acknowledgment of the problem or a believable time-frame for the solution. Even a "Hey -- I know we were communicating with you guys but the field behind our offices is on fire so we can't deliver on what we promised" post would be better than the deafening silence we're experiencing right now and have been experiencing since app. September 3rd.
If I ran my own business this way, I'd be out of business.

I have already missed one phase of senses and next phase has the second line I want.
First things first, mastering artisan won't help you with Senses. It will help you with the Crafting line instead, though.
Secondly, I would understand the current senses medic requirement* if the Healing boxes were given for it. They aren't, Persuasion is being given out for this, or so I understand.
* It still doesn't make that much sense, since Healing ups Wound Healing for Dancer and Musician as well.
While fishing, I ran a macro (/ui action toolbarSlotxx) to use a shellfish harvester (something to do while waiting for the sith).
I went to destroy a fish "container" and inadvertantly destroyed the shellfish harvesting tool. It was in my back pack, but some how was selected for destruction as I was targeting the fish in my top level of inventory.
I then tried to use a second harvesting tool, but was unable to, because I was "all ready searching the area for shellfish".
Logging off for 10 min fixed the problem once, but it happened again, and logging off for a second time did not fix the problem.
Is there a simple solution to a problem like this ?

It's boring, tedious and very, very time consuming and completely caters to the power gamer. The devs stated that they didn't want to cater to the power gamer but that's exactly what they've been doing.I've played this game just about every day since launch. I've done just about everything I care to do. I've fought strange creatures, roleplayed, attended weddings, spied, get a vehicle, mount, themeparks...etc. I've help newbs out, and recruited for various guilds looking for recruits.I love this game, I love its potential....but this current method of getting Jedi is disgusting. Continuity? Please, continuity went out the window when my vehicle appeared out of thin air. There is no continuity. If the game becomes KotoR online....so be it. Let the players choose the direction for this game either through their choosing to become a Jedi or not choosing. All this is, is an endless grind. 900,000 weapons xp get changed to 30,000 force xp? That's pathetic. This was suppose to be quest based? Remember? Once again we've been lied too and I'm really getting sick of it.I don't have 6+ hours a day to grind away xp. I just don't. I ahve to go to work, buy groceries, pay bills, do work around the house...etc. I simply can't sit at my computer at home for hours upon hour on end. Don't get me wrong, I play often, but not nearly the amount of time that's required to do all this "grinding."Should getting jedi be a pain? I say no. Let the people that want to be a jedi be a jedi. Maybe they shouldn't be AS powerful as they are now, but this is disgusting. The hologrind was nothign compared to this. This is what I get. I should have "hologrinded" but noooooooooo. I wanted to enjoy the game first, Iw anted to do my thing first and get to being a jedi later. Serves me right for enjoying the game............My point: The xp conversion rates need to be adjusted. 10:1 or 7:1 would be better for weapons conversion xp than 30: 1.
I second these remarks

For real Devs...come on. We have been waiting on a response for our feedback that the jedi revamp is a failure and that it is still a grind. Quests should NOT be a 3 week wait either. Grinding is FAR from being fun. My last day with the game is November 1, 2004. It sucks that I have to cancel since there is no way to progress past master fencer/CH/brawler. I have enjoyed this game since last July, but after the three content story badges, there is nothing fun anymore. PLEASE fix these issues so we can actually PLAY a fun game.

I disagree with your comments, becoming a Jedi should take time. I don't care how they do it, be it gating 3 week rotationor whatever. If they thwart would be Jedis who do not want to do the system because it takes too much time and grinding, GOOD!
