Just a comment.....

The Harvesting module only seems to be used by Novice Scouts.... didn't you mention in the patch notes "anyone" could use it?

WHY would a novice scout use it if he can harvest himself?!

And before people start chiming in "Well you can harvest twice! With the droid and the player!" Apparently, NO, you CAN'T. You can either harvest yourself, OR with the droid. Not both.

THIS IS CURRENTLY COMPLETELY USELESS.

ok, done with my comment.

Hey peeps....just let the Starport thing go already, jeez. It will get adjusted as they want, and you guys filling up a whole page of posts about it wont do any good. They just ignore these kind of posts. They did not promise to drop Starport times, they said they were discussing the Starport wiat still. Notice how they distinguished between Shuttles (stating implicitly the time) and Starport (no implicit statement on time).

Move on.....nothing to see here.....

Waiting for the facts??? Why do we have to wait? Why weren't they given right then?!?

I started this gameroughly 3 months ago (coming from Asheron's Call 2). AC2 had a lot of bugs (and still does), but the one thing Turbine and Microsoft had/has going for them was COMMUNICATION (SOE, ever heard of that??? Try www.m-w.com!!). I've NEVER read ANY detailed information concerning ANYTHING in this game. I'm dumbfounded by that. I mean, it's not like they don't have access to the information to share... THEY MADE THE GAME!!

For instance, and this is a rather simple one... who here can show me in the manual where it says that weapon damage is multiplied by 1.5 for the standard attack? How the hell was I supposed to know that? And believe me, if anyone wants more examples of horse-sh1t, half-a$$ed information... I can EASILY fill a 4 page Word doc with examples... without even trying!!

I've never played EQ, but I've had friends tell me that SOE is like that with that game as well. So... what gives SOE? Why are you like this? What is the point? I can send along some links to very well put-together Documentation For Dummies 101 classes...

I too have been curious at the lack of details like this, but I suspect I know the answer: I think they want us to just play the game and not Min/Max it. For anyone who does not know that reference, it refers to the paper-basd RPG games where players would work out a numerical formula that would give their characters the most damage/strength/power. They would then roll dice until they got the "perfect" set of statistics, and agonize over the skill templates they would get to further "Max" out their character.

I suspect SOE wants us to pay more attention to the gameplay, and not the math that determines how powerful you are. I can agree with this to an extent, but I really do wish they let us know things ilke how the Crafting Tool Effectiveness works and its effect on the crafted items...or the Station rating, or what a "12" quality droid module means... lots of examples in the crafting sphere we could use enlightenment on.

NO ONE CARES ABOUT SHUTTLEPORT WAITS.

We want starport waits down to 5 minutes, not shuttleports. Jebus, you'se your flipping Metrics and realize that people dont use shuttleports now with the advent of speeder bikes. people do MAYBE 1/4 of their longer distance travel via shuttleport. MAYBE. the rest is done by starport and bike. Get with the program.

Give us the 5 minute starport waits you promesied us.

Point out where theypromised you 5 minute STARPORT (not SHUTTLEPORT) wait times. I dare you. They NEVER said they were going to do anything about STARPORTS (or spaceports)

You are mistaken. Next time try reading or maybe paying attention to details.

No, they said they were LOOKING INTO changing the starport times, but never said they would or wouldn't. They asked the public what we thought... and the majority said make it 5 minutes. So the Devs did the opposite and said we'll have something better in about 6 months (GCW publish... which is a ways off, so ya, about 6 months). YOU need to read better and thank you.

Yes, they never said they would or wouldn't. So when did they promise they would? They didn't. Simple. The person I was posting to was mistaken. He says we were promised 5 minute spaceport wait times and we, in fact, were not. Good day, sir.

Some of my pet peeve bugs:
•Armorsmith protection layers were not converted with the CU.
•Ship Details window does not close when you click "Travel" resulting in the message "You have lost the target. Closing interface."

Here ya go - by TH himself: "I can appreciate that, so lets discuss this issue. What are your thoughts on the Space Port times and travel points?"

Right there is asking about TIMES for it. Thank you... the details,... the details.

Like I said, the developers never said they were changing anything. I never said they didn't discuss spaceports, but we were never promised any changes to them, were we?

Speaking of details, the post I originally responded to was this:

And in case you didn't notice, he thinks we were promised 5 minute spaceport wait times. And as I have pointed out several times now, we were promised 5 minute shuttleport wait times, not spaceport wait times. Those are the details I was referring to. It's really not that difficult.

Actually, most discussion was about "waiting for shuttles" which isgeneric and includes both starports and shuttleports. Most people have complained about multi-hop waits, which almost always involve starports.

So, you'll still have 50 people lagging outat the coronet starport every ten minutes... at least for now.

I think the shuttleport change was only made becuase it took 10 minutes to wait for a shuttle when the town you wanted to go to was often onlyafive minutespeederbike ride away. Yes, pretty silly.

It wasn't exactly a bait and switch, but it certainly wasn't very well articulated... until the patch notes, which everyoneseemed to pick up on without a lawer (or smartypants) interpreting.

I'm curious as to why a Jedi fix was listed as a BH fix. Granted, it very badly needed to be made, but it's barely scratching the issues with Jedi/BH combat.

If a Jedi incaps a BH, the Jedi shakes off his/her TEF after enough time to deliver the death blow. Fine.

What if a BH kills a Jedi? Does the Jedi shake loose the TEF the way he/she should to prevent clone campers? Does the mission disappear if a Jedi is 3-incap killed?

Do Jedi still have the ability to log out and back in quickly to avoid being tracked by BH droids? Is Jedi visibility still needed atreally high levels to even get onto a BH terminal? Can Jedi still only be attacked by those of an opposing faction if they draw their saber for combat? If so, why not neutrals at the very least being allowed to attack them, and just keep them immune from attack by their own faction?

I'm not even going to get started on the issues with BH missions. Enough's been said and no one's listening.

Thunderheart:

What about pistoleers? All of are specials sva e a few are broken. We have the lowest DPS of any profession. We have no effective weapons to hunt high level mobs with as none of our weaps are medium AP. Even the new Geno Pistol is mediocre in PvP and is no where near as good as the AP1 Ion Jawa. Pistoleers have begged for some attention since the game started. And all we get is dodge animation? Lame.

Does anyone know of how the turret control is being implemented?

Does taking control of it like the creature combat system (tab then "A")?

Or is there a /fireturret attack?

Is there particular turret attacks ? Like turret AOE attacks? What EXACTLY are we talking about here in regards to turret control?

Really dying to find out.. Sure wish I could just jump on test cente, get 14k faction real fast and drop a base..

They should implement the administrator's list on this turret control..

Whats to stop enemy's from occupying your turret?

THE ADMIN LIST ON A BASE!!!!
