Thread: Friday Feature Jan 23rd Jedi Revamp
Huge Mistake!!! You are just going to turn the game from Pokeman Online to Knights of the Old Republic Online. Permadeath should stay in the game in some form. This change will really hurt the game.
Grinding was not fun for anybody...not fun for those that were doing professions they did not have any interest in and for consumers that could not find quality artisians or goods.
Jedi are getting off way too easy, there is no respect for those that played their character smart, avoiding the terminals and advancing their character by using their heads.
I was looking forward to meeting one of these Jedi, it would have been a challenge and great game play to hunt and try to defeat them. As I had mentioned on another post...I would have been lucky to survive such an encounter. I did empathize with the loss of high priced items, but I don't believe the loss of a "box" and the decay of deaths is the best solution.
Smart move Devs. Permadeath = crap.

Man, I am glad I didn't wastemillions of credits and tons of time grinding 21 professions to open Jedi so that I could learn they are going to switch it around and make it easier.
Oh wait, yeah I did.
Heres why the system as it currently is works. It is time consuming to unlock the Jedi Master, not only is it time consuming but it requires people to change professions which keeps the apprentice system functioning and keeps the item and resources market moving. This keeps Jedi population down. Further more permadeath culls the herd even more. You have people who play Jedi soon as they unlock them, but soon as they are permadead a % will not opt to restart keeping the Jedi population down.
Meanwhile, for the people who do have the determination and skill to be unlock and be a Jedi they are richly rewarded for it because it is UNIQUE, RARE, and POWERFUL. It can't be any of those things if you water it down.
SOE stop meddling with the JEDI and fix the real problems with the game.

I like to ask one question to the Producer, Dev and TH.
What era of Star Wars are we in ?
If I'm not mistaken are wein the time period after the destruction of the First Death Star.
If this is correct and if I remember correctly from the movie and the many books I read. The Jedi in this time period were dead and if any where found they were hunted and killed.
I'm really trying to understand what your doing here with this game. If I'm not correct when you first publish this game you announce that become a Jedi was going to be very hard. Become a Jedi Master was going to be almost impossible when you think that during this time period the only Jedi in the galaxy was Obi-wan and Yoda.
The current system and this new system you announce will mean that every Person in the galaxy will be Jedi.
First off your Jedi Control class the Bounty Hunter is notthing but a Joke. First the only tool we have to track Jedi is broken. Second the Profession itself for the Skill points a Bounty Hunter invest is a just funny Our Bounty Hunter Correspondant that you dev's think Bounty Hunter is a Powerful profession. TH and Dev have you tried playing a Bounty Hunter? It funny, if I recall theUber profession when Bounty Hunter was nerf was the Master Pistoleer/ExpertBounty Hunter who used the bounty Hunter Eye shot to be successful in PvP. That wasbefore the development of Adv composite with Layers resistance against Acid)
The truth is that Master Rifleman/master Pistoleer with TKA and fencer are the Godly profession in SWG. This Hybrid profession allow you to stack Dodge and Evade and defense resistance so they never get hit for damage.
Anyways thank you for Making the Bounty Hunter Profession even a bigger joke. Now I really feel like a second hand Citizen.
How the hell do you wait three months to fix Bounty Hunter Driods ability to track jedi. Thank you for waiting a year to look into our driod speed.
