I love both Ideas of the village and the way of tracking your progress, I for one can't wait until it goes live and be able to start the path of becoming a Jedi.

I dont know if im gonna cry or laugh, you just pushed back the GCW/CB fixes ~5-6 months, andyou havent got any idea of how the jediquests are gonnawork?Pub10 are supposed to go live Aug 24th if i recall correct.

It seems like publish 10 are gonna be pushed back like everything else in this game.

have a problem with this this means it can take month to an year for the npc talk to me to lead me to the village ..how is this better than silent holo?

becasue their main goal was to stop profession grinding, and the new system is supposed to be long, hence the idea of limiting jedi to people who really really want it.

Great Idea! Love the idea of not only knowing we are on the right path, but a place that maybe we could actually enjoy some RP as well!

I like the idea of this. I love that it will be story driven. The sound of a "Mysterious Character" running up to you is good,I like that. Also, make sure there are multiple "mysterious paths" to go from normal to FS, so that one players experience may not be the same as anothers. Maybe base the paths on combinations of Skill Boxes.

For example,Marksman 4000has the ability (unbeknownst to the player) to generate a random npc encouner, but when mixed with Artisan 0040, it will determine the text/quest given of said npc.

I hope that makes sense.

You know i was really worried that the devs would screw this up, but it seems like this is a great idea. I'll still keep grinding, but don't mess this one up

Overall I really like the idea of the Village and the Quest Journal. It will add a good background to the whole becoming force sensitive thing. However, the Village needs to be instanced because imagine all the people, if they do makethe path known, that will be in the Village when publish 10 goes live......

Really like the idea of the Village. -With that being said this is a little confusing with the unknown path to fs. I mean thats just like we had before Holocrons. How fun was that? The path needs to be known. That way people will either choose to do it or they won't. You want to keep Jedi poplulation down bring back jedisaber-tef and impliment perma death. I love the idea of a quest driven content and my understanding THIS village is for people that seem to have been chosen somehow. How are they chosen?Have they unlockedforce sentitivity now or do they goto the village and become force sensitive? Wherecan I find this mysterious stranger? What do I need to do to get him to find me? Do I need to search every meter of every planet to find a random spawn of a certain npc or creature? Do I need to kill 1,000,000 gnorts and then make a stew?Do I need to revisist Every POI I have ever visited. Do I need to do everey moisture farmer quest I find in the desert?See these are the problems you will have by making it unknown. Nothing will change, it will be like Sept, Oct all over again except now there will be Jedi who unlocked in the old system. I love that you guys are trying to make it fun. This is just notright. There shouldbe a quest driven plot right from the start. For each playeror percentage of players it will be random. Like holocrons were. People should know how to atleast start there search. From what I understand you are saying thiswill beunkown. Why?If you continue to insist on it being mysterious after 53% of people that play want it known then there definatly has to be some hints thrown out IE old holocrons or crystals to give a little direction. Otherwise what's the point?. To frustrate more people and continue to cater to the minority?

Well I will wait to see what you decide. I am here either way I guess. I just wanted to point out a few things. Although I may have ranted towards the end there I wasn't trying to I just wanted to point out some concerns that seem to have spark up in your post.

I aslo like the journel idea. But without really undrestanding the choice to make FS unknown I'll save my whining for later.

This village thing seems like a great idea, although i wish it was announced before publish 9 so that the jedi wouldnt go around showing off their new robes and abilities and so that the FRS would make sense as to why it follows the story line.

P.S. a release date would be nice

I am fed up with all the resources going to JEDI related issues.

Are you expecting every player to become a jedi?

What, maybe .0005% maybe become Jedi. So you spend 80% of the development time on .0005% of the players? huh? Oh I get it, it keeps people wanting to be Jedi, stringing them along, for their monthly fees.....

...very sad.

Thunderheart, love the idea man. Quests are always the way to go but don't have only specific quests for ONLY specific people. There are sometimes a brawler needs to not fight, or help the losing side, maybe another mission is for a medic to help an npc "attack" another npc (doing worthless amount of damage, but getting them away from JUST medic). and i'm a little cautiious. while i love your idea to make becomming a jedi more obtainable i do not think an ungodly amount of time should be spent JUST becomming FS. The jedi path is long enough, the FS path shouldn't take equally as long. This goes back to the powergamers vs. Casual players debate. I like to get on maybe 2 hours one day, zero the next, 4 on the weekends, i meanthis system should be geared towards casual players. If you are a powergamer, you can become FS quicker than a casual gamer, but the casual gamer shouldn't have to live up to the amount of time a powergamer spends. I mean there are some of us in the community that like to go take a growler without having to put up an AFK tag, those of us that have a job, hang out with friends, have girlfriends, have "relations" with those girlfriends. Not sitting in front of a computer all day, then sleeping during the server shut down and waking up the second it comes back online. I think becomming FS should take like 2 weeks at max if you play 2 hours a day. 28 hours, hell, i could become fs in real life in that amount of time.

About the jedi outlook, add some sort of incentive for people that want to be fs and NOT jedi to help the population control down. Maybe a melee person can "sense" attacks before they happen, giving them a special force sense mod, or have deadly accurate rifleman because they can use the force to guide the bullet. Force run for everyone that is FS. force heal for everyone (not healing as well as a jedi). The only difference between the FS people and the jedi in the movies was the jedi had practiced longer with lightsabers and force manipulation so they could fight better (the more trained fighter will usually win) and they have a better control of the force. other than that they can use the same moves. If you don't have an incentive to just staying FS, EVERYONE will become a jedi and it will get uglier than it is now.
