LOL! I see alot of people here complaining "Buhuu! Devs, I cannot solo a ns elder" or "Buhuu! The tuskens are too tough for me!" Well, welcome to the real SWG!

Aaaahhhh! Just like the old days! Nothing like a good choke from a NS Elder or the pounding from 20 tuskens!

/salute SOE!

Now, all the remains is to remove buffs! Completly! Then we can go grouphunting again and have some real fun!

/cheer!!!

Tried the corvette with a group of friends last night. With the NPC's doing specials and having no weapon delay, our entire group was killed within' a minute of encountering a Nova Trooper. In fact... they kept running into the spawn areato kill us as we spawned. I think I died around 15-20 times. Eventually a master commando was able to fire bleed them to death (by waiting on the ground dead for the bleed to run out before ressurecting).

So... umm... no AV-21 for me... unless of course I can afford to pay for an already looted powerplant. I couldn't believe how fast they could switch weapons and hit us with specials.

I don't mind getting beat on until I'm dead... but this was a group of masters of their professions. TKM's, Commando's, Swordsman, Doctors... etc... and we got the message... You want us all dead and our armor destroyed. You've spent MONTHS and MONTHS trying to balance out the game. You've completely unbalanced it.

Fully buffed to 5k ham... food and drink consumed... Wearing some pretty nice armor... and we didn't stand a chance up there... not even a remote chance.

So NPC's changing equipment - okay... no problem... as long as they suffer from weapon delays and change weapon delays like we do.

So NPC's use specials - well... sounds fine by me... AS LONG AS YOU BALANCE IT OUT SO EVEN GROUPS CAN STAND A CHANCE AT THINGS SUCH AS THE CORVETTE!

I'm glad they brought the specail and weapons for NPCs back. One poblem. TKMs Unarmed Toughness and Melee Defense doesn't seam to work. I had 2500 buffs and was taking damage like I was a Novice brawler.

So many stupid people are still alive because it is illegal to kill them.

So far I am generally pleased with the 9.25 changes. Some of the NPC's though seem to have increased in their capabilities much more than others which can make the decision to take them on a somewhat dicey one. As others have mentioned the NPC’s should be restricted to using specials from the weapon that they have equipped.

While not concerning 9.25 would it be possible to have the weapon change delay trigger after making the switch. This would still address the spamming of specials/macros using different weapons and could hopefully be applied to the NPC’s as well.

I must say that I don't like how the NPC's can use power attacks. The missions gotten much harder and require a buff, even in a group they're just crazy strong.

I think if they can use power attacks then they shouldn't be able to come up to you're body and slay it.

Or make the power attacks weaker so when the battle starts you're not dead before you can even fire.

Someone told me it's just a fix on an old bug, but that was a good bug.

I also haven't found any increase in looted items.

The change in weapons from NPC I think is a good idea though but not the power attacks, or limit them and not so strong.

Regarding drop rates for Loot Kit items:

The drop rate now was increased a bit too much. Not only that, butthey drop fromone-shot NPCs such as Meatlumps and Ragtags on Corellia.

This will only lead to players afk-macroing the static spawn points for them, which I already saw earlier this afternoon. Myself, in roughly three hours earlier today in Kor Vella and outside Coronet, I gathered 10 loot kit pieces. A guildmate gathered 12 by running around Tyrena for about two hours. Doesn't that seem a bit high to you? And just imagine if I afk-macroed all night like some do - I'd probably have another 20 pieces by the morning. I haven't completed any kits yet, but I'm well on my way.

It was nice when the loot kit drops were somewhat rare, they were a nice rewarding drop, but soon they will be just likeImperial/Rebel Plans and Locked Containers- nearly worthless. Put simply, when players can afk-macro something, the value of the rewards drops tenfold. Yesterday, each piece sold for around 250k each - a nice money sink.By next week, due to the significant increase of parts in the economy, they'll be at less than 50k each. We'll probably see masses of completed loot kits for sale within a week.

They are a nice addition, butthey should have remained somewhat scarce.

My recommendation would be to revert the drop rates to somewhere in between yesterday's and today's rates, with only higher level NPCs dropping them. Allowing players to afk macro to get the loot kit drops isn't the answer.

Completely disagree.

If they only dropped off higher-level NPCs, it would be unfair to the lower-level combat types. This is supposed to be a set of FUN quests for people to complete, not something frustratingly difficult. Also, it was completely absurd that these pieces were selling for upwards of 100k-250k each. We're talking about 1 million to 2.5 million for items that are, essentially, DECORATIONS (which, if you'll remember, net about 1k credits if turned into the Junk dealers).

Not everyone can make money like they're coining it themselves in this game. Give them a friggin' break.

-Benggal

Theywere FUN because they were rare. Why do people hunt Nightsisters? For a chance to get some uber loot. The process of getting it, it might take a while and not be fun, but when you finally do get it, yeah, that's fun.

Killing meatlumps with one shot? Is that fun? How about afk-macroing them to get the loot kit pieces and selling them off? Still fun? Make it more difficult like it was before, please.

It is fun when there is a rare chance of getting a loot item, not when 1 in 20 drops one, like I've experienced. It's even worse when they drop from one-shot NPCs. When you get them this often, do you still say "Ooooh, a loot kit item! This will be worth a nice amount." Nope, it's no longer a big deal, just another semi-common drop like locked containers. Go stick it on the bazaar, maybe somebody will want it.

Once everybody in the game has one, which will happen soon at the rate they drop, they are no longer fun. Now, it's trivial. The only difficult piece to get now, it seems is the adhesive, which when everything is so common, it just makes that a pain.

Just today, I bought 7 loot pieces off the Bazaar for 1500 credits each, all from the same person. That shows how common they are getting.

I was wondering whether returning NPCs specials would make the Corvette and DWB (both implemented while these weren't working) harder than they were intended to be. Having visited the Corvette for the first time tonight after the recent changes thought I would bring up a few issues.

Firstly after boarding the Corvette nearly all theSBDs and the Rebel NPCs were fighting. This had in turn triggered several of the 'SBD spawns' so there were twice the amount as normal. Navigating around the place was made harder for me personally because of a graphical bug that for my second trip in a row meant I couldn't see the walls/floor/roof/doors of most the place. Basically anything you see in the Corvette is normally white I saw as 'space' - blackness with stars. As I said, this was the second time it had happened though and first time it hadn't been a problem as I know the place quite well and was able to navigate via the ceiling lights (lol).

In any case as you'd expect the NPCs and SBDs are all now using special attacks, which means that a single one of them was capable of hitting a member of my group for as much as 2k damage after damage had been mitigated by defensive buffs and armour. Add this to the sheer number of things on there plus the fact that as they were already fighting there was almost double the amount of them, its fairly obvious that the place is a lot tougher than it used to be. Also bear in mind that since it was first launched the Corvette has been made harder by adding extra SBDs and 'hidden SBD spawns' that seem to trigger at certain actions.

Surely the place was never intended to be this hard?

I can only imagine what theDWB might be like. All this is also made harder by the fact that mobs can still be agro'd through the walls and on the most recent visits we were getting agro'd through walls by things while just standing still not doing anything or fighting anything else!

I imagine the main cause of the problems is the fact that everything on there is capable of doing AOE attacks that can agro thru the walls, floors and ceilings. Is there any hope of being able to see some fixes for any of this, before people start to give up on some of the games only real content left for many veteran players?

Its very nice that all npc use weapons and special attacks again, it makes the game more fun, but a nightsister elder with a stunbaton is a bit to strong, even with intimidate2...

nice patch btw
