I would GLADLY use my two AT-ST's in PvP IF they didn't suck so bad in PvP, and were not so expensive! Ok, I'm sorry, but I had to say something... The AT-ST's may not be so expensive soon AND they are adding 46,000 HAM to it. That will make it last much longer...

Ok, so let's just say they give you back the faction points... What exactly would you use them on anyway? If all faction pets are useless what good are faction points? Are you going to buy furniture?

I think there is on problem TH that you are forgetting and the rest of the devs. You guys are trying to balance the game and make it more star warsy. I commend you on your latest efforts. Now, I am not a creature handler and I do not want to be. I think most of the changes that you have made are the right ones. The biggest beef I have is with faction pets. They may be pets but they are not creatures. We dont tame them, we get them through faction points in the GCW. I think AT-STs and Rebel Faction pets should be kept separate from the creature handler profession. Here are my reasons:


1) They are faction only; creature are a free for all that are gained through exploring and hunting and are not related to the GCW.


2) Right now the titles we recieve throught faction point dont mean jack, except being able to hold more faction points. Faction pets should be tied to the title we gain through our Factions.


EX: I dont recall the list or the order of the title we recieve, butfaction pets should be tied to them. A newly rebel recruit should not be able to have any faction pets, but as they go up in rank they should be allowed an extra pet. To stay with the current time period, imperials should be allow to have 1 AT-ST and 2 storm troopers, etc...


3) By making faction pets tied to creature handler you are ruining the GCW.


4) If you are a CH, creature can be out at any time. Faction pets can only be used if the player is overt and subject to open fire by anyother player.


Please, I think alot of the player base and star wars fans will agree with this. Its probably already been posted by someone else. THINK ABOUT IT. What you are doing does not make since to me if this is a star wars game.

I am a little late in replying, but I am completly shocked that ThunderHeart would say this. I wish he were standing in front of me now. I would love to see him say this while keeping a straight face.


Non-creature handlers can only have one faction pet. Why. Because only CREATURE HANDLERS should have the benifit of having 3 NON-CREATURE pets out at a time. The devs say that CREATURE HANDLERS are at a disadvantage when they spend lots of skill points to earn multiple CREARTURES and people that don't give up skill points but do spend lots of time gaining faction points can have 3 NON-CREATURES fighting for them. Where is the logic in this.


Before the patch, a CREATURE HANDLER could have 3 pets out, 1 droid and 3 NON-CREATURE faction pets, were everyone else could only have 1 droid and 3 NON-CREATURE faction pets. Please ThunderHeart, eplain to me how CREATURE HANDLERS are disadvantaged here. Please give me a logical reason why your statement makes sence, because from what I can see, faction pets are now considered CREATURES. Are they going to walk on all fours and grow a tail now?


I think the problem the devs are having is understanding that faction pets are not actually pets. They are not creatures. They are FACTION TROOPS. They help us in the GCW. I personally don't have a problem with the faction troops not being able to do PvE, but I do have a problem with them being labeled as pets. THEY ARE NOT PETS. I DON'T TEACH THEM TRICKS AND FEED THEM WHEN THEY HAVE BEEN GOOD. Please try to understand this. This is a very important point.


Now, I don't use faction troops my self (note that I am now using the term faction troop) as they die easily and they are not useful in groups of 3. Now reducing them to 1 pet will not affect me, but it is not moving in the right direction. It is basically ensuring that I never go out and get a faction pet. DEVS, YOU HAVE OFFICAILLYDECLARED THISGAME TO NOT BE STAR WARS BY THIS PATCH. THE GCW ISDEAD.

Ahhhh! wait! please wait till late december so i can fully research CH pet options on test and CH changes


Also combat system changes.. are they going live or are you pulling them totally from the live patch.. cause my carbineer was getting eaten with those changes lol...


Vehicle will kill the CH selling mounts for sure.. so any plans to add more mountable creatures in to maybe kick up the market when we are crushed by a low level crafter making vehicles by the thousands.. making mount training basicly be a master skill (transfer) and putting vehicles in a darn novice starting class is just plain wrong.. raise it to droid eng or some elite class ..


PLEASE.. think about it before you throw it together .. i am telling ya its a mistake.. your miss-judging the way people level for sure! you might think ENG IV is elite or something enough to add such a HUGE profit maker in.. but it for sure isnt!


Also make sure you look at the combat classes and how this patch will effectPVE and PvP all together.. PvP is already on the way to being rare! When you have it so any large (15vrs15 + ) group crashes a zone when they pvp... how do you expect there to be war? Also the GCW faction bases.. are they even working? no way to tell when the control panels are up to take em down.. there has to be some way for opposing faction to know when its a good time to strike!


=Maybe add an email to all rebels/imperials from the rebel/imperial leaders saying "Now is the time to strike the base at (waypoint)".


I am not sure where you all play or if you do.. but it seems like no one plays the game or wonders thru factional areas.. or even PvP's.


It's up to you.. but remeber this patch will change the entire game.. make sure its for the good and make sure that when you do these changes you put enough in to make it still interesting. The idea to place badges in for things like the waterfall at theed is ok.. but why not add some kind of cave or quest to these spots (like seach the sewers of theed for a lost child by going thru a cave in the waterfall for which you get a key from a Random NPC mission)

It is a sad day for the so called "empire".

Great work! This change is sure to help balance the war. Now there is no reason at all for imperials to be overt, much less stay imperial at all. I'm so glad that the developers feel that the players thathave beentaking the hard road and supporting the empire even with insurmountable odds need to be punished and thier countless hours of work thrown away. This makes me feel so good about funding SOE, and continuing to strive for in game goals that will be assuredly devalued as soon as I have achieved them.

I was going to ask that all of us that had worked so hard for the ATST when they were useful get our faction points refunded, but when I stop and think about it, there is no faction perc that is worth purchasing anymore. So, do your worst. Here's one imperial that has lost all faith.


If the developers are so busy with vehicles and fixing bugs, why not just delete the ATST from the game? It would be far less work, and will achieve the same result.


I knew it was going to come to this. You are trying to dictate how people should play your game, by forcing them into particularplaying stylesthat you deem acceptable. Fine, I'll play CH so I can run missions. I didn't realize that Creature Handler was a mandatory part of Star Wars... Hmm...


Oh well... At least all the rebel commandos will have to find something better to do than kill ATST, because there will not be anymore to kill.

ATST's don't quite live up to their name. These all terrain scouting vehicles desperately need some terrain navigation. It literally takes 3 full minutes for an ATST to ascend a 30 meter hill.


We should not be able to call out three ATSTs. This is overpowering -- we should be limited to one. The one we should be limited to should be able tobe repaired (as long as ATSTs are still poisonable they should be healable by Medics). The Droid Engineer profession should be able to repair ATSTs and revitalize them if they are incapped. Faction pets should have the same vitality rules as creature pets.


ATSTs should be available as vehicles.


ATSTs need to be immune to flame damage over time attacks. The initial damage of the attack should still damage the tank, but the DOT is absurd on ATSTs. This is unbalanced to the extreme -- one rebel commando is capable of taking down an entire tank. This leads to excessive griefing on planets such as Dantooine where ATSTs are regularly used for faction-based missions.


If only one ATST is allowed out at a time, players with more than one ATST in their datapad need to be allowed to drag their existing tanks onto their recruiter for a refund of faction points.


Commandos should still be capable of taking out tanks in groups. Rocket launcher needs to be fixed to allow this.

this game will just die , you guys have made enought money i guess and it time to call it quits ,

whats a commando to do kill when there are no atsts around ?
i have ground out 50k in fps for my atsts , can i get it back . no? oh thats ok cause there is no good faction perks to buy anyway , to your gwc coraspondent id like to say thanks for nothing , you suck get a job
this is the first time i wish to quit the game , and i probly will i know it will only get worse .

the dev's have show me that they dont really care about the players imps or rebs ,

Uhhh... They have almost 60k HAM w/ Medium armor (instead of heavy) and 100% heat resists... NOBODY will be soloing the new ATST anytime soon.


Just because you're AT gets set on fire now, doesn't mean it's going to die... it will take some good damage, but will NOT go down just from that one flame dot.





Resists and armor have no effect at all on flamethrower DOT. Some of those cavemen on Dantooine have 100% heat and light/medium armor, and commandos kill them easily with flamecone.


It doesn't matter if a commando can solo one or not, because the problem with flamethrowers is the MASSIVE, UNHEALABLE WOUNDS from the DOT. TEF covert commando runs up, flamecones, and gets pasted by the AT and everything else but that doesn't matter because the fire keeps going and will probably give at least 1/3 wounds even with 55k HAM, all from ONE SHOT.

Th said we want to base this in faction-rank regarding the number of troopers so what happened to that idea??so now that it's about to hit live please discuss this "front" are we gonna control more than one trooper or it doesn't matter what rank we are if your a CH you get to control 3 human troopers. this is almost as ridiculous as you can't heal atst with stims but we have no other way of repairing it. I want some real feedback why does it seemed like everything is done the easy way that doesn't require alot of programming, for the game all faction perks are pets since you limited atst to 1 troopers got the bat too, so is this true???

I haven't read the posts, but won't limiting non-CH players to only one pet, make a lot of players give up their current professions and play as a CH instead?


Morehugeanimals running on the streets aftertheir mastersis not what this Star Wars-game needs, we needdroids and AT-STs.
