Thread: Corellian Corvette Feedback
I'd have to say that I had the best time on the vette last night. we got some in out guild to go so we had 8 people, alot of us died but we were all rezed thanks to our doc, and I on't think we even came close to the target, not even sure who it was, and the funny part is when some of us went down the elevator and some didn't, made for an interesting evening.
A few of us found the super battle droid and we were taking turns attacking it, and of course it incaps you in one shot. but we all took turns attacking it. It was a blast.
The only thing I would change is to give us the direction of our target, we kept going around in circles and wasn't sure where eactly we had to go.
But we did enjoy the fact the WE were the only ones up there and it wasn't just a crowd of people, this made it fell like we were doing what we had to do for the mission, the best time we had in our guild in a while.
But we did manage to get past the clone area.
We did fine until we were ambushed by a group of IMP STs.
Then after everyone died it was pretty much /WACK /DIE /CLONE /Run back /REPEAT.
That was not fun.
Other than that experience I really enjoyed the 30mins or so it took to finish.
We hat 3 STs in the Pod room and people were clicking madly, add lag to that and you get instant ride back to the planet.
That was really defeating.
You guys should consider patching a system that allows for the instance to adjust the difficulty based on the level / size of the group. While you're advertising 9 missions, in reality there are only 3 per faction (Imp / Reb / Neutral), a very smart idea to have missions for all. Now you guys just need to add some more missions for the smaller groups. Leave the large rewards to the raids, but have missions for the 6 person group in non-uber composite. Ohh and have some kind of cool loot for all difficulty levels, schematics are fine, we love our crafters, ohh and why not have a badge per mission type you complete. Finally, make the loot for each mission faction category different... not sure if you've already done that, but thought I'd mention it.
Personally I'm hanging on by a thread here. I had and still hope this dungen keeps me interested until you guys get newer content patched in. So do everything you can for people like me, and the smaller PAs who can't put together huge raids. If games like CoH in its Beta form can have instance missions that adjust their difficulty based on player level, then I'm sure a game like SWG could do the same... maybe even better. You're on the right track in my opinion, this isn't a flame, just offering my opinion.
PS. Can we start a suggestions thread for the Star Destroyer instance gungen(s). I for one have a ton of ideas for you guys, and I'm sure others do too.
Beat this yesterday on the first try, however i'd have to say it was the hardest thing i've ever done in the game. I'm wearing full buffs/composite and still getting hit for 500....with or without mitigation (im both master rifle/sworsdman)
Unfortunately, I went with another guild and not my own so I didn't get the land speeder, but picked up 2 badges
-Imperial Heroism Medal
-Imperial Medal of Honor (only one of us got this, I guess I was the hero of the group maybe because i dealt the most damage??)
Second time, we completed the mission. Its very difficult, almost too difficult with the super battle droids, but we did enjoy an actual challenge. The schematic was looted, however the part to make it didnt drop, so apparently all 10 of us are going back in many many times to get our hotrods made.
As for loot, we did find some halfway decent stuff, comparable to player crafted or with stat mods, but it was all weapons, no skill tapes or clothing with skill mods.
On another note: when we loaded the first time several of the rebs were damaged, not sure why. 2nd time there were a couple pets from another group still left over. I believe a purge action needs to be added here, as having this random dead merek in the middle of the corvette may have messed up our loots,
Again, good job devs, most of us enjoyed it, and the feeling after completetion was awsome.
Man I dont know why all these people are whinning and complaining. Finnaly we have a dungeon that is actually difficult to win. Like theres finnally some mobs that you can not solo and you have to work as a group. Not only that, you have to actually think about what your doing in the corvette in order to beat it. This is not a dungeon for new players or less experienced players, its a dungeon that finnallygives the experienced players a challenge and I say its about time! I come from the Gorath server and me and my guild -aDv- were the first group to defeat the corvette on our server. Now it was extremely difficult, but that was the whole point of it. It is not unbeatable, it just takes planning, teamwork and quick thinking. To all you people who want it nerfed, I say hell no! Leave the difficulty as it is or better yet make it even harder!! I want to have a challenge again!!
iluvatar
group was 1 CM, 4 rifles, 3 TKs, 1 fencer, and 1 HS (me)
actually the CM and HS did the best here, as most things are not heavily blast resistant or poison resist.
I advise taking in some tanks with 1-2 HS and 1-2 CMs, one on heal duty the other on poison duty, and its not all that difficult
Also using the terrain to your benefit helps a lot too, the NPCs cant shoot through most walls, so running when low on ham until the healer grabs you does actually work here.
Decay does need fixing badly, and so does some of the NPC AI.. forgot to mention that one NPC went prone about 2 m from me as I beat him while shooting me. Why don't these NPCs go melee like normal NPCs? or at least apply to the prone vs kneeling/standing range rule?
DO NOT NERF THIS PLACE. Its amazing. It's so fun to actually have tactics in a dungeon with a group. Every other single place in the game is soloable. Theres no chance in hell you can solo this place. A 10 man group can do it if you have great tactics and organisation. Its better to go in a guild as they are more likely to listen to the leaders instructions. Something that also helps greatly is voice chat like Team speak or Ventrilo as you can speak quickly when you need to. Have CMs area healing you. Docs rezzing. Swordsman can hit Super Battle Droids for 5k damage with a Scythe. Then have a load of rifleman etc.
Don't use Area attacks btw!!!If you use an area attack all the mobs in the area around you comeswarming down on you. My guild managed 2 Super Droids at a time twice doing this.
Don't nerf this dam place! The people that want a nerf just get in a better group. This place is one of my fave things in the game and I don't wanna lose it to peeps crying nerf!!!
