Ok whats wrong with all the whining people. I have been there once there were 5 in our group when we got there, 4 very soon after when one wasn't paying attention and hit the escape pod (whatever, his fault.. he'll pay more attention next time). Our group consisted of 1 Mcm, 1 Mtk, 1 Mdoc [me], 1 Mtk/Commando {0/0/2/0}, and a Mscout/ almost Mmarksman [ the one who accidently left] ..... doing the rebel assassination mission

It was awesome, very fun. Not one of us died untill about 25min. into it, we didn't come close to finishing it but we all had a really good time.

Is this impossible NO. Is it fun HELL YES.

I read this whole thread and one of the biggest complaints I saw was armor decay ... the only item of mine that decayed when I died was the bracer I didn't have insured when I entered the corvette, the rest was fine 0 decay from death

Here's my opinion about it ....

1) Fix the armor hole and the NPC clone camping - the only real bugs I encountered

2) I don't think they need to allow rebuffing but I believe that we NEED the ability to heal wounds, so just clone players as they enter the corvette so that you don't take massive wounds from deaths

3) I really like the idea of using existing POI's in the mission, I had never noticed there even was a Mokk Stronghold. Also thats where I met the some of the people I grouped with .. I was hanging out waiting for a friend to come help me kill the place when a guy showed up doing the same mission and asked to join, then another showed up right after my friend did...one guy got what he needed for the ticket and so we all just stayed grouped and went together.

All in all its a good addition to the game, give it a little polish and it will be great.

Hmm...I'm not a master fighter, I'm a master crafter.

I only have one account, but have managed to pick up 0/2/2/2 Heavy Swordsman and have done a few parks, and even managed to stay alive in the Tusken Fort long enough for a buddy to get a portion.

I read in here that Master combat folks are getting fired, diced and tossed - so am I gonna try it?

Well I'll do it once, will no doubt get my butt handed to me a few times and wander off shaking my head at the increasing UT feel of SWG and lack of content for those who don't want to(or more accurately can't) fight uber mobs.

Good effort for trying though SOE, all the combat folks are going nuts over it. I'm sure I'll hear all about it as they ask me to make their one-time schematics for them (and them alone) .

That account button with the cancellation option is looking sweeter and sweeter all the time.

So if you are TKM you can do VERY little damage; great then why go? I love that even though this stuff goes from dev, to test center, to live there are still bugs. Is it free to play this BETA quest? No!!!! We get it will be fixed in the next hot fix stuff. Here is a thought, tryto fix it before it leaves the test center.

SOE has a great time sink / money going here.Oh, yes you are paying to get DB by the4k head shootwith the stun damage rifle to the armor hole in your armor that the devs cant seem to fix.If a group of 10 to 15 ppl are killed and cant rebuff, and the clone lab is camped on by PvE then what the He** is the point to this? Ahh, a shiny new badge, and a bunch of loot that people can sell for 8 million credits because it give you +2 to medical experimentaion. Good job!

Ahh, I know money. SOEGive lilttle quest that will make the people stay in the game and not drop it. Heres a though, FIX the bugs that are already in the game, then try to do thisevey other publish we add a quest thing.

No, I am not looking to SOLO anything. I like the fact that you need to group to do some quests, but 4k hit in an armor hole that you guys have known about for a really long time. Come on, what are you guys getting paid to do over there. I have been playing from release, I have stayed when many have left. I stayed when you nerfed all my pets, Idropped ch. I stayed when you took away my droids armor in the mighty DROID INVASION, making it more worthles then it was in the first place. I stayed when the Geno. Lab spits PvE evey five seconds and will chace you on a speeder bike 2k meters. Don't say that they don't till it happens to you. I have had 6 destryer droids follow me ON MY BIKE for that distance, only to get off and try to take them on, only to get BF for the trouble. There are some every BIG problems that are just pushed from one publish to the next, ie. BH mission bug, still broke, and broke from day one, still not fixed. If YOU DEVs. can't get it right now, how are you going to get it right for SPACE?

Now, if i want to got to the corvette as a MTK with 80% ken. res. and 70% base to everything else, fully buffed, with a sheld generator, and skill tapes, rings, and i dont know what else,i do no damage to the stormtroopers with like 95% ken. res. Then what is the point to me going at all? Can you tell me? No, you cant give me a straight answer. It will be the carbon copy, "It's all about combat balance." I'm sorry but, if you think that is balance, then you need to think again my friend, thisis a form of exclusion aimed at a profession that you will probably nerf for being balanced in the first place. Oh, wait, its not just TKM, no its every other profession that the corvette seems to beat down. Wow, I'm going to run home and log on to lose 10% to my armor and have to clone every other second. WWWEEEE, this is fun. Yeah, right.

I am really thinking of dropping my account. Its not because of game difficulty, its because of the NO answers approach from the people that in reallity we are paying tohelp us keep interest in the game. If you were an employee with the same approach as this, your boss would give you a pink slip.

I for one am glad they made a hard dungeon. After walking around the Geno cave solo, something had to change to make it a challage for players that have mastered a mele profession. If I'm able to just stand there and kill 20-30 mercs at a time solo, something needs to change.

With that said, it was a pretty nice dungeon (minus the 2 hours of looking for the stuff to get the ticket ). Is the dungeon too hard, possibly. It may need to be toned down a bit. But the majority of the players complaining dont use tatics. I went with a group yesterday and there are just idiots sometimes. Running around the cornor getting attacked by everything and then bringing them to the main group is bad tatics. We had to B slap one of our group members for doing this.

Way to travel in the ship. Easy, you must have docs....not one but two. All these docs do is heal the tanks. Problem with my group yesterday is the docs go and decide to fight at the same time, get incapped and tanks are left to fend for themselves. Bad tatics. We made it to the Super Droid room, there were 2 supers and one regular. OMG, yes they killed us fast but thats because once again the docs of the group did not watch our health and when the tanks went so did the entire group within seconds. I can tank one of those superdroids, with my armor I was taking about 600 per hit. Is that a little much, maybe. If you have a doc there healing you like they are supposed to then I bet we could have taken the droids.

TH, you do need to fix the dieing and rebuffing (and some complained about insurace decay). Fix it so players can rebuff at start of the ship when cloned. Fix it so we can also store our clone there to prevent BF as well as re-insure our equipment. If you fix these things, the majority of complaints will go away. Players with no tatics will still not be able to get past the first couple of rooms. If you dont do this I gurantee this dungeon will be slamed by the majority of the players as being too hard. Not dieing is this dungeon is nearly impossible at some points. I feel if you dont change this 99% of the players will hate this dungeon and feel it was a waist of time to even go there.

Either way, everyone needs to take a look at the people in their group. Make sure you have 2 docs, 2 MTK, maybe 2 Commandos, maybe 2 Bounty Hunters, and a Swordsman. That would be a very good group, and would more than likely get past everything that is thrown at them if they use something I like to call tatics. Have everyone with 80-90% armor with full doc buffs, 2 brandy, 1 canalope, and other various foods. While the MTK tank, the Commandos flame, the Bounty Hunters hit with Electric, and the Swordsman pounds with its uber Hammer. If someone needs healing, there are 2 docs to just stand there and heal constantly.

Is Pistoleer, CArbineer, and dare I say Rifleman very useful in the group? Maybe, I just went to the Corvet once and although it would be nice to have these professions as backup they are really not needed if you have the professions I mentioned above. We had a Rifleman, seeing the resists of almost everything I would take a Commando or Bounty Hunter instead. Thats my opinion anyways, good job on new content though. It will surely keep some people busy trying to find ways to solo it lol.

I think its amazing. All these people saying its too hard as they were buffed with 90% armour etc. and still lost. You just need organisation to go through there and its SO much easier. Anywayz the only 2 things that bother me are the 1 hour time...maybe extend that and no buffing on the ship. DONT nerf this place its great!!!!

Well...i don't post often.....but i have to now....

I went up with the first group on my server.....that was a quick trip! three people escaped by mistake....the rest soon followed after we met up with a rebel admiral

For reference i am TKA 4244/ master doc Imperial.

the next time i gathered a group of elite players! players who i know rock the geo caves solo ect.... two of them i pair up with and solo krayts!

anyway, we had 10 people with us, 3 master docs/tka BH/carbineer commando/tka fencersX2 swordsmen BHmaster rifle/tka/fencer

we brought 5 AT ST's

the first group of rebs to attack us are easy..( harder then average....but easy) then we met the admirals! this guy is like a krayt disguised as a rebel! because he had reinforcements..he was very tough! eventualy killed them....

then we met our first SUPER BATTLE DROID! ( at this point we no longer had one AT ST )

this thing killed 4 AT ST's then all of us....cause we had 4 docs....the people where fine....just no longer had buffs...or AT ST's. this thing pretty much ended our trip....

i myself did not die....so i did not experience decay....

but that, combined with the insane krayt rebels and uber droids, and lack of being able to buff, and time limit, and crap drops.....this dungeon is a waste....

on top of that....the crap drops we DID get..could not come with us since we timed out....what a waste.....

and that has nothing to do with the hours we spent looking for the ticket! WASTE OF TIME!

but in all fairness, it was a great looking dungeon, looks very much like the one in New Hope. love the idea for INSTANCING. love anything that is in space!

but it really needs to be revamped.rebalanced...

Devs need to do a COMPLETE revamp of all combat/MOBS NPC should not be better then the best of players.....just more skilled....they are still just human( or what ever race they are)

I am a doc, and i do agree that buffs are too good. they unbalance everything....

Add the rebalance to the expansion..that gives you time to fix the game and make it balanced.....

Folks:

I was very po'd when I left the corvette. But after a good nights sleep and some reflection lets consider:

1) Buffs have made everyone very powerful. We are not used to having much difficulty with any of the Mobs in the game. Even Kryats and NS elders go down routinely.

2) SWG has allowed us to basically solo any MoB. None of us have taken any time to really develop a synergistic group. For those who brought a diversified group, we learned on Corvette run through number 1 that we needed to adjust our equipment and Combat Classes if we have a prayer of getting thru.

3) Doctors in Groups are not as widely used and we need them badly now. Not Doc Dabblers either but real Docs. Yes those folks who do nothing but Buff us in the SP's are needed to heal us. When is the last time your group required a Doc to survive? I can't think of one.

4) This adventure may take many attempts so you can learn what to do.

5) Your armor will decay here. So be prepared to invest some cash to do these missions. If you are not, dont go.

6) I have seen some nice loot (DoT weapons, schematics, etc.) Droped so far. It appears there the risk may be worth the reward.

Before everyone Cries to the Devs (I am guily of it too), take some time to go through this slowly. Your Uber Combat Template can't solo here. We are assembling what we learned yesterday, respecing a few characters, and charging back inside. If we die, hopefully we learned enough to advance farther the next time.

To the Devs: Don't react quickly to all of our crying. It was about time you released something that could not be Solo'd with Buffs.

It is about time we needed Doc's in groups to survive. And lastly, it is about time there was a new dungeon which required us to think and have a risk that was not easily mitigated. SWG has been all about reward with very little risk. It has been very lopsided. I am bruised but not beaten. This can be done.

Next to RIS Armor the Corellian Corvette is the most disapointing thing added to the game. Theres no way your average group or solo player could complete the dungeon at this level. I entered the covette yesterday with a group of 10 friends. We made it past two ensigns andup an elevator only to have our asses handed to us by a rebel admiral. By the end of the 1 hour time limit everyone's armor was destroyed and those who were notTKMshad their ham bars completely black from wounds that couldn't be healed.Who in the hell said we wanted super hard content? We just want content we can enjoy, and we didn't enjoy this.

think i´ve got the record:

a Rebel Commando uses fan shot on you for 8756 points of damage

well, got a full 60% energy Composite... 2,4k buff

one shot = take a nap...
mh.. no thanks... not again. we were a good group, reached group-limit. much mastered fight professions. but just chanceless. and after my first death i was feeling... useless.

TH, give em content and they will whine about difficulty. Give em easier content and they will whine about loot. Give em loot and they will whine about more content.

And the cycle goes round.

Good job devs, personally I had a blast and I am waiting for my Smithy to complete my new Berserker Rifle

Can't wait for more.

Exactly AntiXryst you nailed it on the head. No matter what they do people will complain about something.

I personally think this is a great idea. It sounds like 4k ham hits are a little harsh I do agree with that. But if you want an easy dungeon go to Geno and run to the bottom, not too much fun or brain power in that. It appears this dungeon is going to take a great plan of attack, just running up there hoping to kill everything in sight just may not work out for the better. You will have to have the right classes performing their respective duties. Like a CM throwing a few DOT's but mainly AOE heals, that should be his primary function especially with how hard they are hitting and nothing else. Using cover to try and pull one mob at a time versus getting the whole room on you. SOE is making us think in this dungeon, trying to come up with proper strategies. I think it is great even though it is very difficult. Im sure they will tweak it a little especially after getting some proper feedback other than its too hard and don't go there you can't solo it. lol.

I can't wait to get slaughtered over and over trying to figure it all out.

Yeah, sry, doesn't work that way... when you got a 500k armor on, and it decays at 10% a kill (remember, no insurance terminal up there) you don't want to die over and over again... that 4k ham hit... that's with my 84% sliced base protection composite... so without the best armor in the game, one hit kill, no doubt. and man, those droids, four in a room? lmao, forget it, 17 tkms and 3 master docs might get the place... but in an hour? nope... it's just abusive... those nova class sts are wrong... it's like a cave filled with spell-weavers, which i actually might have a better chance of beating... i mean, one of those novas can take any regular group... so five at once? nope... not working, i'm sorry... I solo a ns cave, and that isn't fun... i shouldn't be able to, i agree (and that's without buffs) so i agree with something harder, but this is like dropping a hundred pound brick on an ant, overkill... i'm not sure exactly what you guys need to do... maybe take out a few nova sts, and you know, give us two super battle droids max... then maybe we got something doable in an hour.

By the way, thanks for the hard work, we appreciate you trying to make the game more entertaining for us, but this is just not something the majority can enjoy... maybe leave it as is, and it'll become a goal for all good guilds, but make sure the next event like this you make is enjoyable by the mass, because this kind of thing has a tendancy to make people even more bored with the game.

lol everyone likes to win...

We went into it with a group of 5:

Master CM/Rifleman

Master Commando/Smuggler

Master Swordsman/MD

TKM/MD

Commando with flame4/Doc with rez

We had a lot of fun, got our heads handed to us really quick. Learned a few lessions and went back with a different group.

Master Commando/Smuggler

Master Swordsman/MD

TKM/MD

TKM

TKM

BH

Got out heads handed to us again, but had fun.

Some of the things noted:

1. I wish I could get buffs that would give me 160k HAM. We had buffs, med and mind. Wish we could re-buff after getting killed. Hard to do much without them and yes we all had a lot of different foods.

2. I need new armor. I had a decent set of 80+% resist comp....guess I'd better get a new set now.

3. Would be nice if everyone knew what the mission was from the system, not just from what the ticket holder says. Would make it a bit easier to understand what you need to do.

4. Go slow and pull them to you one at a time...when you can. Going up against a StormTrooper with 160k HAM is one thing, going against 2 or more while they hit you for 2k or more everytime they shoot is a quick path to death.

5. Don't use AOE weapons or specials. Unless you want to die.

Things for the Devs:

1. Love it. Want more of it. This is the best way to run a dungeon. No campers, no one running past me to get at the best loot. Great idea and good job. It's much more like being in Star Wars than anything else in the game.

2. I understand making it really tough, but lets get real. 160k HAM on bodyguards around the leader is ok, but when we ran into the hugh numbers of them all at one time, it was a bit much. The 60k HAM troopers weren't too bad, we could take them. Most of the people on a starship wouldn't be elite troopers, but normal crewmen wearing what armor they could find when the alert went out with a small Marine componet onboard.

3. Need to make it so we can re-buff. If we're to go against mobs with HAM's 50-60 times the max we can get, we ned that little bit extra.

4. Time limited is good, but 60 minutes is a bit short for enjoyment. I'm not sure 120 is the way to go, but 90 minutes might be worth trying.

5. a mission brief would be a good idea. I know that this is a "standard" type of ship. The floor plan should be known. The target areas should be briefed. ie This is where we think the prisoners are being held, the commander you need to kill is probably here and so on.

6. Trying to read that map isn't very easy. And targeting is crazy. You can't just tab target the guy in front of you, you get a mob on the deck down or up more often than the one right in front of you.

7. If we're to take this much damage, up the credit loot so we can afford to buy new armor. I think I made about 5k credits for a cost of over 300k because of decay.

8. Why are the imps allowed to use AT-ST's up there? That's a GROUND assault VEHICLE, not something even Vader would try to use on a ship.

Except for having to buy new armor and having massive wounds, I'm ready to go again. I loved it, give us more.

For those of you that haven't tried it, don't tell us how to do it. You don't know what you're talking about in most cases.
