Here is the largest theory on mounts

1. Anyone can use the creatures as mounts.

2. Mounts will not be tamed pets so they will be strictly used for riding, not attacing.

3. This will be Bio Eng lots of business, as they will be the ones making UN tamed pets.

4. Will not take a creature slot, it will be item in your inventory.

The introduction of new variations ofcreaturesover the last few patchesgot me thinking.

Will current creatures even be mountable? Or is there going to be some new creature variation introduced called "Dewback (Passive)"or "PassiveBol (baby)" orwhatever, that's like lev 5? And these will be the only mountable variation of the species?

As a Master CH, I just want to know if Ican stock up on these 6 creatures, so they can be full grown when the patch hits. Or if I should wait because current pets won't even be able to be mounted.

creature mounts will have to be UN tamed creatures, so the CH in the world wont be able to sell mounts, as some of them listed can only be Bio Eng'd

After reading the posts on this forum as well as the CH forum for the last 5 days, as well as my many countless hours of personal experience each day since the recent patch, I will speak for almost all other CHs and Hunting parties out there when I say:

What happened to all the creatures/babies/lairs???

Now I dont care what anyone says on the CH forum because that involves too many different situations, so I'm saying this here on OUR forum...Lowca's forum. Something isnt right when I can walk on Dantooine 4km dead west, then go another 5km north, and then head to the northrn outpost without getting aggroed, or finding a single creature on my ranger areatrack. Thats right, not a single one. But thats not all. Then on Dathomir I headed 5km dead west, then walked south all the way to the "secret" imp outpost without running into a single rancor, graul, or graul mauler. No, not just babies...I couldnt even find the adults or their lairs! None. And all the other people out there that spend a lot of time hunting these on Dantooine and Dathomir know for a fact that before this recrnt patch, the ideal spots for rancors on Dathomir were about 3-4km west of the northern outpost, and for grauls about 5-6km west. On Dantooine, grauls were always found about 1.5-3km west of the imp outpost.

The same problem is on all planets though. I cant even find a darn dragonet on Tatooine!

This problem needs to be addressed and not just pushed aside like everything else the people in charge at SOE do with player issues. If this isnt fixed soon, I wont hesitate to cancel my account if no one will hear me out. And go ahead and say "oh look, another CH crying about not being able to find a baby...aaww" or "quit your whining, there is no problem, you're just not looking hard enough." I dont care, you people do not effect me with your petty remarks, but just remember how you treat me on here the next time you have a probem and people respond to your post by saying "stop whining." Thats all I have to say, but I hope a lot more is said in return.

To shut up anyone who would say that Rancore's can't be usedas mounts. Goto your local Libary and check out "Cortship Of Princess Leia".

Threep, with regards to the mounts:

First, thanks for the work on trying to get these to us.

1. Will you be releasing more creature mounts on a consistent basis?

2. Will there be increased capacity for storage. i.e. beast of burden.

3. Will ourmounted speed be the same, as our current running speed?

4. will non-CH's be limited, as they are currently, to lvl 15 or below pets or will that be rescaled to assist those less fortunate

5. Will mounts be able to attack/Will players be able to attack from mounts?

Loosely related to mounts:

Have you considered trains as a mode of transportation between current cities and plaer cities? The walk to my house is less than desirable

What part of this being the first installment do you bantha lovers not understand? Yes, I want a Bantha too. But you people are funny.

You Cu Pa people are even funnier.

Can a full grown adult ride a chihuahua? That's pretty much what you are asking for. MAYBE Wasteland Cu Pa...But I haven't seen one personally...so I don't know how big they are.

As for the Bol.

It was stated about the previous patch (By Holo, I think...) that the Cloning Tree in BE would get some loving..So the Bol will be fixed and able to be transferred to CHs to train as mounts.

As for which are Non CH...

Kaadu -- Base is NON CH

Falumpaset Not sure

Carrion Spat Base isNON CH

Brackaset Not sure

And the only reason some people are whining "where are the cu pas/bantahs, etc?!" is probably because in some of the notes before this big friday feature, the list of mounts included "dewback, banthas and rontos." Two of those three were left out... and while you can be content riding a giant chicken/ostard, I was looking forward to riding a Ronto.

Though, I always wondered how I was gonna see around that big neck.... but I still wanted one so badly!

Oh well.... I have a mountain dewback tamed... I just hope I can ride THAT now...

I understand, but a previous poster made a VERY good point....The Bantha have thier own model. They decided to pick the simple ones for the first release.

Bantha/Ronto and many many others will be filtered into the game....eventually.

Want to take baby steps here...This is a MAJOR content change...

when i saw this feature, i was all like "flip, dawg! fo sheezie!" a tad disappointed that my bagaraset won't be ridden, but ihopped a flight to corellia and picked up a spat. i can't wait to ride it around. can anyone say chocobo? everytime i ride it i'm going to be humming that damned chocobo theme song from final fantasy.... hell, i'm doing it now! woot! go devs for once!
