Thread: Publish 7 Feedback: Player City Garages

The email that is sent out when the mayor of the city sets the fee for use on a garage needs to be fixed.

The fee is a % from 0-30. The email when it is sent out notifying the residents of a fee change is:

"The garage usage fee for the city of Fire Haven has changed to 10."

Need to put the % after the 10 so that people don't think that it is a fee of 10 credits, but a surcharge of 10%.

I've only seen one player city garage so far, and that's in my city on Naboo.

Dare I say that I think that this little garage is kinda cute?

I't not some ugly monstrosity.

Even better than the player city garages is the fact that /fin gar, short for /find garage, works now to find garages anywhere on a planet that has one

Ah the simple things that can add up to something nice.

I got to delete a handful of waypoints from my datapad because of this.

No more need for a waypoint to the Kaadara or Theed garage.

But if the travel bug is still around, no one needs garages.

- Leave out your vehicle

- Get on a shuttle

- Fly somewhere else

- Store your vehicle

- Generate your vehicle

And presto! Your vehicle is at 100% again, even if it had been completely disabled.

Fix the bug and people will have to use garages.

If this bug has been fixed and I just don't know, just disregard this whole part.

Also, nice pushing this out in Publish 7. I think I recall your initial thread saying we wouldn't see player garages til Publish 8 or9.

Federal Island's new garage works just fine, although you have to admit that the footprint is... well, somewhat oversized. Really looks a little dull with all the empty space around it.

Crafting : OK

Placing : OK (Footprint unusually large)

Purpose : useless until "shuttle auto-repair" is fixed (and I am sure you left that in on purpose until garages are in game)

Have fun

Yes, the garage was craftable, placeable and does actually work. No more shuttle-wait to repair my bikes. *cheer*

  • Footprint too large.

  • Functionality useless with Shuttle Repair.

  • Confused as to why we could not be allowed to go inside and drop a couple items like toolchests inside.

  • Disappointed that it didn't have flashing lights on its spire (yes, this is a real complaint).

Works fine, though is not needed.

two thoughts on the repair vehicle:

a) When removing the repair bug, please please lower repair cost for it, or the more better option enhance (and not a little bit only) the time a bike needs to get damaged. It cant really be that a bike holds only half a day.... i mean repairing it once per week for players that r playing much (5 to8 hours per day) should be enough

b) Garages should be searchable /find garage i wont waste an hour of time every day to finda garage

c) what about some simple vehicle repair tools??? heh even droids can be repaired and i guess from normal thinking, droids are much more complicated built than vehicles

d) the speed of the vehicles is really bad. If u look at starwars.com in the database u will find out thata normal speederbike has up to 500 km/h, when i look at the waypoint tracker i barely made about 50 km/h with a swoop, i know 500 would be much to much for SWG, but double speed would really rock...

crafting the garage had no problems and our mayor was able to drop it... the one issue was that there is no clear indication which way it faces in the overhead view. It had to be pulled up and re placed facing the correct way.

Looks fine, works great, ability toadd a taxto themis wonderful (do it for cloning and insurance too please), but I agree with everyone else who has said this:

The footprint is too large.

A garage the width of a merchant tent takes the footprint of a large house. That ain't right

I consider his a service of the shuttle, i.e., take our shuttle and we will repair your vehicle

Plus I refuse to pay to repair my vehicle after the first 5 times I did so and it just lost it right away after it autostored....

On the overhead map, they are called Parking Garage. That doesn't seem right. They're not for parking.
