Last night I warped and rubberbanded a number of timesjust outside of Coronet while on a Swoop Bike. I havent seen rubberbanding since beta where we avoided water at all costs. Those were the days...

Badges - It was very confusing that you didn't remove badges from the CTRL-P window. Many of us thought that you had failed to publish anything because there was no difference there. I seriously suggest picking one place and keeping it. It is very bad form in UI design to have multiple locations for things. It confuses people easily. This goes for the bio information, as well. I would remove badges from the CTRL-P window and remove the bio information from the CTRL-C window. Also, I would like a simple addition to the "badges you have" and "badges you don't have" text by saying the total count.

Vehicles - Obviously, the put-on-bar calling doesn't work and it would really be appreciated for it to be fixed for vehicles and droids. My only real complaint is that /mount command is still broken when you use a name and in general. If you use /mount speederbike, then the system targets a speedbike, but often it will target someone else's and give you the "invaid target for mount." The problem occurs because if more than one thing has the same first word in its name then it is pretty random which object gets targeted. This brings up another problem in the system. Would it be too much to ask to use the old Diku mud technique to be able to distinguish between multiple items of the same name by prepending a number and a period (such as "/mount 1.speederbike")? Then we could have a string of mount commands and chances are one would mount. Finally, the same old problem of the bike "being out of range" is still occurring.

NPC agressiveness - It seems the system is out of whack. Me and a guildmate have been playing. I've been using my Jedi, and he's been using his rifleman. The mobs are routinely, though not always, running away from me and going after him. In fact, he was 45 meters away, peaced, prone, and covered. I hit the mound, the queen arachne and her friends came out, they passed me up, and they immediately B-lined for him. This is happening on a regular basis to him. Even with all our guildmates out, it appears creatures are very inclined to ignore meleers and pick on ranged players.

I have the same feeling about the "badges remaining" visibility as I did about you guys making POI's visible.


It takes away the discovery and excitement of the acheivement. (The "secret" Rebel Base if a POI! )


But, I guess it helps people get the most out of the game I guess.


Vehicle toggle is sweet!


Thunderheart can you explain the REAL reason for the weapon/Armor switch delays?


I never felt the rapid switch ability was gamebreaking or made us uber, it's now just truly annoying.


Was there some sort of exploit regarding the switch times that I am not aware of?


There are so many other game breaking bugs and issues that need attention, I just was wondering how this got "moved to the front" when I had NEVER heard ONE profession claim it needed ANY adjustment.

Even though I'm very happy with my jedi now after the revamp, I fear for the overall health of the game as more and more become jedi. You have removed most of the danger with playing a jedi -- xp loss is fairly trivial and BHs are a joke in the jedi community. Jedi are now running rampant, not caring about staying hidden anymore.


I want to see jedi gameplay being challenging and not just time consuming. I want BHs to be formidable opponents to jedi of *all* levels. I want jedi to receive some visibility for strutting in our jedi robes and with sabers equipped. I want darth vader to personally dispatch jedi that gain very high visibility.

  • Character badges are now located on the "personal" tab of the character sheet in the middle box instead of the examine window

I also see them in the examine window if I /examine self. Not sure if they show up on other characters. I'm confused...are they not supposed to display in the examine window at all anymore?

Yes, this works. Now, how about fixing that bug introduced recently that prevents someone from receiving a musician and dancer buff simultaneously? That's really causing us a lot of problems. Oh, and how about that "you direct your attention to %TT" thing you promised to look into a few weeks ago?



  • Fully decorated and added music all the Image Designer salons

Can barely hear the music at all, even with background music turned all the way up in options and speakers cranked. Any chance of increasing the volume on server side?




  • Players can now use the radial menu, in addition to the previously working slash commands to enter and exit a vehicle while in combat.

Is there a slash command for the enter/exit thing, or do we have to continue to use /mount and /dismount?

Still warping horribly when I dismount. I wait until the bike has completely stopped and then wind up getting kicked up to 100 meters away.

The weapon switch delay is horrible. See all of the other posts as to why.

ARMOR HOLE IS BACK - Second time this has happened to to me. This time I was on Dath, fighting Rancors and their attacks go through my armor. No % taken off for resistence.


Weapon/Armor Change stinks. Another time sink we don't need.


What happened to changing the Starport wait times to 5 mins? You guys are really eating into my personal RL time with this one. Please make them all 5 minutes.

TH - Still waiting on a fix for my video driver crash. I cant play in windowed mode at all, its way way too crash prone. The specifics are, whenever something causes an alert on my taskbar (ie a window flashes, or a popup comes up) I run the risk of having a video hardware crash. its by no means 100% repeatable, but its clearly associated with taskbar functions. The main culprits as you might expect are incoming IMs from AIM, or MSN, or popup windows, etc. Anything that causes a taskbar change. I've encountered this problem with my Radeon 9000 and so has a good friend of mine with her Radeon 9700 pro. my specs:


IBM Thinkpad P4 2.4ghz, 1gig ram, Radeon 9000, winXP pro.


Hers:

Athlon 2800+, 1gig ram, Radeon 9700 pro, winXP pro.




part of the large problem with this issue is that both of us are using the latest catalyst drivers which have a video protection function that does not hard lock the computer when the hardware rendering crashes. it seems to return to vga mode and thus never generates a crash log for you guys.... please please please take a computer of similar configuration with the latest catalyst drivers, run it in windowed mode, and chat actively on AIM or MSN while playing swg... you'll find the same problem, I swear.


Final note, this has only been around since either pub 7 or perhaps as early as pub 6. neither of us had any problems before then

I like the new badge list, for people that collect them it's nice to see what you still have left to do. Now, how about making it so we can earn those last three? I want to do some racing.

The new badge display system looks good and gives you a better sense of achievement - I still want to be able to see other player's badges when I examine them (and them me), it gives you an idea of what sort of player they are, so please don't remove that function.


My ubese bandolier shows up as red .. I assume my shirt and belt will as well when I take them off .. I guess this is related to the fact they don't have a 'condition' but are items of armour (in the same way you can't put them on if you are over your encumberance limits).. would be nice to fix it as red things in SWG are never good ..


Thanks for fixing the player controlled turrets.

Awesome. I really like this feature. Just as an afterthought, or something to toss around...And to hear something back on this, not expected but definitely a bonus:


In the Character Sheet, an option to "toggle" (i.e. a box like in the sound/graphics/chat window) to select which badges you would like to show. This would allow me to show off certain badges I am proud to have earned, and would allow for my profile (If I ever think of a clever backstory) to show my history (story) more easily and not cause people to have to go down a foot just to see it.

  • Fixed problem with the GUI not updating XP totals when XP is gained or lost

This was not entirely fixed. I was on Endor last night at one of the Ewok Lake Villages, Killing the teddy bears (they are like gypsies..."small hands"...). When I would kill one, I would not receive the usual "You have received 1232 (or some number) of experience." It only listed faction win/loss numbers. And the xp bar was a bit laggy in updating total xp earned. It would do this intermittenly. A bug report was submitted.




  • Items that are reduced to 0 hitpoints, show up as red in your inventory (unless it is equipped in which case it still shows up as an equipped item)

This has also caused items without visible condition to go red as well, I.e. crafting tools, and ubese armored shirts.






  • Master ID timer changes (a master outside the Image Design salon gets 1/2 time, a master inside the Image Design salon has no time required)

  • Fully decorated and added music all the Image Designer salons

Music is great and the salons are nicely decorated, kudos to the ones responsible.



While I understand the timersto preventquick leveling for those learning the ID profession, those of us who have mastered it, are having a hard time understanding why the timer is so long for H.A.M. bar changes. I do understand theneed to have a timer, to prevent some forms of exploitation. But for Master ID's 8 minutes is a very long wait...almost worse than shuttle and starport waits. If it could be reduced by...say...2 minutes, max 4 minutes....this would go a long way to helping usin our business.
