Thread: Publish 9 Feedback: General Feedback
Welcome to the “general feedback” thread for Publish 9. We would like to hear your thoughts on the publish and how its affected the game in your opinion. Also, please post your feedback here on some of the Publish items that are not major features.
Some items we are particularly interested in hearing your feedback on are:
Badges
- Character badges are now located on the "personal" tab of the character sheet in the middle box instead of the examine window
- The Character Sheet now displays a list of badges earned by the player and also badges not yet won
GCW
- Fixed several fire rate problems with manual turrets.
GUI / Keyboard
- Fixed problem with the GUI not updating XP totals when XP is gained or lost
- Items that are reduced to 0 hitpoints, show up as red in your inventory (unless it is equipped in which case it still shows up as an equipped item)
NPC’s
- AI improvements: on steep hillsides and cliffs, creature aggressiveness and accuracy has been improved
Profession Entertainer & Dancer
- Modifying /watch and /listen so that you can perform these actions while sitting on the ground
Profession: Image Designer
- Master ID timer changes (a master outside the Image Design salon gets 1/2 time, a master inside the Image Design salon has no time required)
- Fully decorated and added music all the Image Designer salons
Vehicles / Mounts
- Enter/Exit vehicle changed to toggle
- Vehicle hit points should now be saved properly when making repairs
- Fixed vehicle orientation when traveling over water
- Smoothed ground effect more when driving off of a cliff
- Players can now use the radial menu, in addition to the previously working slash commands to enter and exit a vehicle while in combat.
Badge addition is nice, I like being able to see what I need to do.
Bad: I can get hit by a NPC from over 100m, through a hill/cave wall. Not good. Plus they will warp away when health is low.
All other comments I posted on the other thread.
Also noticed speederbike hp restored correctly as well.
Thanks

Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful! Love seeingthe badges I still need. Are all of them achieveablethough? Like the race course ones?
GCW

Never fired one, haven't since. Sorry.

My mineral survey device is red, but at least can still be used. Haven't run into other items that are red before they should be. XP I haven't been grinding, so thankfully haven't noticed either.

Hmm, still got the creature warping when low hits thing. I was killed a few times on hills by Nightsisters, so I can assure you that have no problem with aggressiveness! heh Will their Force Powers ever be turned back on though?

Works great and was a wonderful addition, thanks!!

Love the new design of the ID tents. Saw the one inTheed and want thosepaintings. I hear the othercities are differenent too? Great job. Didn't hear the music though.

Toggle is nice, but still using my mount/dismount macros. Good thing about the hit points, that cost me 5k the other night. Water and flying off cliffs does seem a bit smoother.
Still absolutely hating the armor change time and weapon change time things though. This is causing so many more problems than any possible Jedi exploits ever could have. Could you perhaps remove the weapon change blunder and instead code in something like "You cannot apply more than 1 DoT/State every 5 seconds" to take care of the DoT/DoT/DoT/DoT weapon macro exploits? And could you please remove the armor change blunder and replace it with "You cannot use Force Powers for 10 seconds after unequiping any piece of armor" to take care of the "Jedi uses armor macro to take off armor, use powers, than put back on armor". These are issues that would have been solved easily without adversely affecting everyone for minor problems with a handfull of bad players.

Nicely done, I like this feature as it helps goal driven individuals keep track of what other things we might like to pursue.
"Badges, we don't need no stinkin badges" - J/K
GCW
Fixed several fire rate problems with manual turrets.
Have not tested this yet.
GUI / Keyboard
Fixed problem with the GUI not updating XP totals when XP is gained or lost

Good work here, just a couple of problems I noticed.
1. Ubese shirts showing up as red
2. I removed 50 Laser rifles off of a vendor and as I was retriving them very rapidly from the vendor to my inventory several of them showed up as red in my inventory. I was able to fix this by equiping and unequiping the item.
I also noticed that you guys fixed the help box popping up when opening the datapad everytime - Thank you, this was very annoying.
NPC’s

Have not noticed any isses with this.
Modifying /watch and /listen so that you can perform these actions while sitting on the ground
Not an Image designer
Master ID timer changes (a master outside the Image Design salon gets 1/2 time, a master inside the Image Design salon has no time required)
Fully decorated and added music all the Image Designer salons
Not an image designer
Mounts
Enter/Exit vehicle changed to toggle
Works fine so far
Vehicle hit points should now be saved properly when making repairs
Looks good so far, but this was an intermittent issue so we will see how it looks later this week
Fixed vehicle orientation when traveling over water
Never noticed a problem in the first place
Smoothed ground effect more when driving off of a cliff
Players can now use the radial menu, in addition to the previously working slash commands to enter and exit a vehicle while in combat.
Will try these 2 later
TH, any more input on the equip/unequip delays?
There have been a lot of posts and concerns over this. Is there any chance we can open up a seperate sticky thread on this to discuss this change?
Personally I loathe this change and it has caused me to shelve my alt Bounty Hunter out of sheer frustration. That and the change to having Jedi able to be anywhere is very irratating, they are supposed to be in hiding. I tire of seeing 3-4 Zabrak jedi per starport showing off their characters. I feel the TEF revocation was a big mistake, in hindsight I probably should have been more vocal on this prior to the patch.
