Thread: Publish 6 Feedback: New Visual Buff system
I would just like to say I wish SOE had spent the time on fixing the buff timer bug, instead of creating a spiffy new interface that tells you how much time you have left. The buffs wearing off but not the buff timer has been a Doctor top 5 problem for months......why do we get this?
I feel stupid for looking forward to this thing. Thunderheart, I interpreted your use of the word "debuff" as meaning we could remove buffs and reapply them, thus working around the bug that caused people to be unbuffable for hours. I interpreted it that way because:
a) That would actually be useful.
b) It has been a longstanding complaint.
I agree with HighRoller, the only reason I am not playing now is beacuse I am "stuck" with stealth buffs. They don't show up on the spiffy new buff bar and I can't re-buff myself. I thought "de-buff" would mean we could remove our buffs to avoid this problem! I have been looged out of game for a while now and they are still there. Please let us remove buffs from ourselves. It is just a state right, cant you just give us a /command that resets the state to not-buffed. like /debuff health
How about making it so our HAM bars work properly when buffed?
How hard would THAt be?
I think the system is pretty good except for some of the minor bugs listed above. Powerboost not showing up is a little annoying. I know this isn't entirely related to the new system but I figured I might as well bring it up.
When buffed the length of your HAM bars in the group members display does not properly display past 1100 or so. So you never know how low your ham is getting until it gets below 1100.
I agree that there was a miscommunication about the fact that we were going to be able to remove buffs. As a master doc, I love the fact I can see the buffs now and when they're going to go away. I'm suprised though in all the different posts I've never seen a complaint about the fact that the range for the buffs is so large. In my humble opinion, a master doc with high quality packs (850+) should never have a buff be lower than 1300-1500. If you are going to make the range be that large, then you absolutely have to give the ability to remove a buff.
