What has really gotten me upset, and what I dont hink is fair is all day in game, I have heard that the first people that the "Old Man" is gonna visit are the ones who did most of their Holocron Professions and who has Inner Glow, and then work his way down to the ones who Mastered the next least professions and who has inner glow, then onward down the list and so fourth till the ones who did not master any of there Holocron professions but was still able to get Inner Glow by getting the required POI's and badges to attain this great Honor of Inner Glow. What SoE should have done, was turned off the entire Holocron grinding after Publish 9 went LIve, then that would have ended alot of the headache of the ones who complained about Oh I did this many professions and I want to be compinsated for my time and efforts...Blah Blah Blah...Now its a huge cluster of everyone asking. "When is the Old Man gonna come see me ?" Well let me tell ya something, I have been up and on the game since the servers came up at 8:30am cst and just now got offline 9:01pm cst and the "Old Man" never came and saw me. They are saying its gonna take 1-3 days for that to happen, I say rubbish, and I may stand corrected but like myself I did not bother waisting my time to grind holo professions, so I elected to do the Inner Glow the POI and badge way, and I was one of the Lucky ones to get on and do the /check and I had Inner glow so I didn't have to run around getting anything.
So, I say to the ones who were like me, when they logged on and had Inner Glow, we are the true Force Weilders and it may take us longer to get the Old man to come see us. But if you did like i did today and did nothing but grinding xp, we will have gobs of it to turn in for Force Sensitive XP while the others who wanted to master there professions have to go out and grind just as hard for theirs. BOO YAH.

New game features work nice. Kudos. I think findfriend is kinda pointless (stalkers, creepy) but hey. Thanks for noshake and bikes in the toolbar.
Now onto myFSpathcomplaints:
I just think it's shady that so many of the "veteran" players I have talked to are not glowing. It's unfortunate that you geta badge (and credit toward FS) for visiting a bunch of waypoints or doing ridiculously easy missions that give you fair loot at best.
Meanwhile, players who go after the tough mobs (i.e. NS, Geos, Kimo, etc.) get no badge and no closer to FS. I think there should bea badge for soloing Stoneskin Hanadak (I think this was listed as the #1 mob you shouldn't be able to solo in that "Astromech Stats" from a ways back), or maybe something for helping take down the ol' Giant Kimo in Kimo-Town. I consider things like that CHALLENGES in the game.
Most of the "quests" in this game which give "credit" aren't really quests, there's just tests of patience. Are you PATIENT enough to do ALL the quests to get Jabba's Badge of Trust? I did them all with no buffs andfully mind-shifted human stats (400/400/1000). Yes I am TKM and then some, but I honestly think I could have donethem with alot less offensive skills. But this is more worthy than a dozen Blurrg Raptors, at least in the current system.
Add to that the fact that all the quest "solutions" are easily found on the internet, right next to the hidden POI waypoints. I personally am flabbergasted that I uncovered the mysteries of the Jedi temple simply by driving over a waypoint. I didn't feel any more enlightented, that's for sure.
All I saw today was about thirty plus players fighting over the compassion letter and trying to get control rods. If the plan is to make it hard to Jedi up by making it yet another test of patience to get the required badges (you could sit for HOURS trying to loot that letter first, or get all the rods).
Am I BITTER? Absolutely. I know of several players who are relative "newbies" to the game (i.e. 3 months or less in game) yet are glowing. Nothing against them, it's not their fault. But there are players who have played by the SOE rules for quite a whiles now and have not reaped the rewards.
Anywho. I have no problems with waiting a few days for the old dude (notice I said days, not weeks or months). I have no problem with the phased mode of the village, I think it's a good idea. And I think the method of unlock is just fine (in fact, I think you should add another non-Jedi superclass which unlocks in a similar method, to help control the number of Jedi, but more on that another time).
And that whole secret 8 instead of 5 was kinda evil too, but whatever.

I see that a lot of spoiled BRATS are in here crying, moaning and demanding some things that are pretty unfair and quite selfish.
You say you WORKED HARD.. No. You played a game.
Are you so neglected that you cry when someone cannot JUMP to your every whim? BABIES do this. Throw tantrums like that when they dont get it yesterday.
GROW UP. ITS A GAME.

This has got to be the most entertaining thread I have read in my entire life. I have had to work all day followed by night classes so I haven't gotten to play yet today, but I have to say that the very nature of people makes me think that far to many people are playing this game for the wrong reasons. I have been playing video games for I'd say the better part of 15 years and I do so becasue it is fun. What ever happened to fun...

I must say this has been the worst day of this games history. I mean, I've unlocked during 9 and patch 10, with 32 professions, I have over 75 badges including all the major theme parks,. and the jedi i was promised is not out when it was supposed to. As of now i havent heard of anybody getting a visit by this old man on Naritus. Its not fair to keep us in the dark about this, and most of all its sad that you give a patch 10 jedi hope about this. We WERE promised a jedi when publish 10 goes live and still nothing. Please think about this when you decide to give us what we have worked so hard for. And thats the bottom line with me.

My Jedi (Dark Jedi Knight) was allowed entry into the village. It was surprisingly quiet. No other players there. Is this place instanced or something?
Talked to the first person I met and he gave me a quest to rescue villagers. Then I talked to other NPC's and found the Elder gave me a force crystal 'journal'. Neat stuff.
I followed the WP, it then generated a new WP to search. I went there. A small delay occured while some sith and a villager spawned in. It wasn't hard as a Jedi Knight to defeat the 4 NPC spawns. Each had some sort of special resource as loot. That was tough for me since my robes have no carrying capacity and I'm loaded with sabers and food
I put on a backpack, wandering around mostly unclothed lol.
The problem: The villager spawned INSIDE the tree. I could not talk to him. I tried /conv. I logged out then back in. The tree disappeared- along with the villager! The WP remained. I went back to the guy giving the mission, he still says I should be looking. I deleted the WP to try and reset things. It did not matter. Now I don't have a WP at all.
I logged a bug and put a CSR request in. Now giving it 20 mins to log in again , fresh, and see if things reset. But this wasn't asmooth first experience

dedication, thats bull sh I do not consider getting a macro and going afk and running the macro for god knows as long anything near dedication. That is a sign of disrespect to us players who earn there time and accomplishment. I been playing since public launch and yo uknow what I only completed 2 proffesions, I worked hard, I worked truthfully and I EARNEd those proffesions I would like to hear you that you earned them.

I'm going to start this reply by saying that publish 10 is proving to be by far the biggest dissapointment to the SWG members thus far. Furthermore, it is impossible to infere anything concrete from the posts by ThunderHeart about what exactly is entailed in the new FS system.
What I have come up with is this.. Those members who have manage to exploit, beg, cheat and steal their way to 30 or more proffession badges will have first dibs on the gated groups. After which time everyone and anyone who wishes can complete the quests with relative ease meaning that in 6 months time there will be more Padawons then there are novice scouts. I find this to be unacceptable. Especially when you the developers and Customer Service Reps allow obscenely overpowered Jedis to run around with their double sliced and otherwise exploited gear.
You are ruining the game for those of us who have refused to exploit this game via loopholes and third party software and cheating us out of the rewards we deserve for playing the game in a fair and just manor. At this point you would be better server to purge all current Jedis and lipservice Jedi systems from the game. This would put all players back on an even playing field thereby making the game BETTER FOR EVERYONE not just the select few who chose to lock themselves in a room for 6 months of their life.

This patch makes me wish even more you geniuses hadn't put jedi in the game in the first place. Big thanks to the Ace that finalized that decision. *big sarcastic thumbs up to him*
