Thread: Publish 10 ... holocredit for unlockers.

You did 3 professions, some people have done 30 and not unlocked. Sure you should get some credit but you didn't do nearly as much work as some one in the 25+ club. Doing the 4 holos is NOTHING compared to trying to find your unlocking profession(s) out of 32.
You have no idea really, some people (inluding myself) have spent months grinding SIX TIMES or more professions then you, you have no idea really. 3 professions? Feh.
As I said in my post i didnt say Ignore the Professions after Silent. I said make them worth 100K FS XP or whatever each. The Holocrons were The System. and You dotn forget the System cause its old as you put it. Thats the System they are rewarding you on. and Most people didnt grind 35-30 Professions to get jedi. Most unlocked in under 10. The unlucky ones towards the end of the Systems life got to that point cause they had **edit** luck on picking the right profession.
The Holocrons should be the bulk of the credit as That was the System. I grinded 20 Professions before stopping to return to normal Gameplay.
That 16 non Holo Professions would be worth 1.6 million FS XP. That means when its all said in done in what i proposed id have exactly 5 full trees of the 6 required from credit. That seems quite fair. for those who did 28 professions? well they would have 24 professions worth of xp or 2.4 million. That would be basically enough to get all 6 branches after the holocron credit. Guess what? You got your iniate box.

Certainly I think holo profession should be worth something, but you can't seriously expect or reasonably hope that completing your 4 holos should be equivalent to mastering, say, 30 professions. You said the system "should have been 4 holocrons to unlock and that would be end it." While I think the flaws in that statement are pretty evident, I'll simply say that what you think *should* have been the system was indeed not the system. The prevailing theory is that it was 4 (holos) + some other number of silent professions. Could be 1 (like in some of the *very* early unlockers) or could have been a lot more (considering the high number of profs mastered more recently). The argument that the current unlockers are just unlucky is questionable, as statistically, the vast majority should have unlocked somewhere in between the extremes, and that didn't happen. The evidence points toward the system being more difficult later in the game. What you're essentially looking for here is the same treatment as someone who, in fact, put in a lot more work than you did. Essentially, a free ride. It was your choice not to grind professions -- to not play according to the old, admittedly flawed, rules.
The credit you get should be proportional to the effort you put into it.
I don't think the village is the part that we are worried about, its the 120 mil + xp (equivalent of grinding 40+ profs) that will be needed. To you maybe 3.5 months of questing and grinding is "soon enough", but to me as a player that's way too long considering its not 3.5 months but 17.5 months I will have been playing this game.

But why not stop the grind right now? Just play! You are going to make it soon enough anyway, and the village is very fun!

I like the idea of what you are doing Devs, just wish something would come out officalliy for those peeps that haven't unlocked yet on thier silent holo prof. I can't ask for to much, so this is good. If a DEV can respond and let us know, that's be great.
Peace to the Rebellion and to the Empire...nay, kill the Empire

/agree...
I have said it before and I will say it again...credit for holo's and no credit for extra classes that were ground...people that grind hate that but that is the way I feel.
I would also like to see stats/trends on how many classes it took to unlock and if it increased over time...If it did increase over time by SOE changing it to add more hidden classes instead of one...oh well...I think SOE has said they reserve the right to change it.
Also...balance Jedi so they are BARELY stronger than an elite class...the only jedi that should be visibly stronger are council members.
