so what are we beginning with?? saber and the robe to make the padawan or shall we grind another 5mil xp to become padawan it is not clear enough for me and do we have extra character slot or not ??is it so hard to answer more plainly??

My guess is that since saber construction is part of the Padawan trials you will not be receiving a saber magically in your inventory come the 31st. What we're revieving are the 6 trees + the experience to fill them, setting us up for Padawan. Personally, I'd like to do the trials -- the feedback so far on them is that they're fun, and maybe, just maybe, will add an immersive SW feel to the game. What I personally wanted to avoid was the horrible grinding of profession xp to trade at ungodly lopsided ratios for FS experience to fill those 24 boxes. As it stands now, I'm satisfied.

Sounds good, but why does it seem like everyone on the boards has to flip out before any information is released? Its always better to front load expectations, keeps the users somewhat happy.

I doubt they could beat them to it. People on these boards flip out waaaaaay too easily.

Some of my pet peeve bugs:
•Armorsmith protection layers were not converted with the CU.
•Ship Details window does not close when you click "Travel" resulting in the message "You have lost the target. Closing interface."

To SONY: Post 9 Unlockers were told they were getting Padawans by your correspondents. Have some integrity and stand by these statements. Adding intro and exit quest is BS. We've already had to wait to even use our Jedi and we're also the first group to have to use our mains as our Jedi. We were told unlocking during the Post 9/Pre 10 period would give us our Padawan. Make it happen and don't make the times that you actually do proactively communicate with us become foul with lies.

Honestly, the only question I have is the timing of the Intro and Exit quests. We don't have to wait a full cycle for these do we? The original post by J sorta seems like it would be a fast thing, sorta. I'd like to see confirmation that we can do these quests right away, and move on to working on Padawan.

To Answer Questions

Intro Quest: This is where the old man meets you the first time and starts you on the path to get the village. To complete this is like 20 mins.
Exit Quest is where the Old Man meets you again and sends to to attack a 55K HAM 80% resists NPC. deending on skills that all varies time wise on you.

Now as has been stated before this is how it should be for non unlockers

1 Holocron = 20% of the boxes and the xp for those boxes 5 boxes and 1,275,000 FS XP
2 Holocrons = 40% of the Boxes and the xp for those boxes 10 Boxes and 2,550,000 FS XP
3 Holocrons = 60% of the boxes and the xp for those boxes 15 Boxes and 3,825,000 FS XP
4 Holocrons = 80% of the boxes and the xp for those boxes 20 Boxes and 5,100,000 FS XP

Now this leaves all the professions people grinded trying to find the elusive Silent Profession. Instead of saying they arent worth anything Have them Turn in FS XP. not box unlocks just XP to put towards boxes in the branches you unlock from the quests you need to do. Maybe have it so each profession is worth 100,000 FS XP. This way All Hologrinders get the same credit for the Holocrons in branch and XP unlocks. But then the People Who Grinded all the extra professions trying to Unlock would recieve credit for those other professions simply in xp instead of more unlocks.

As far as I know, your main will become force sensative. I haven't unlocked yet so this doesn't upset me, but it does seem to bother a lot of people. Let me suggest a comprimise.

When the old jedi converted to a new system, they were able to spend thier remaining skill points on non-jedi abilities, no grinding was required. I suggest a similar thing is done for the second slot uppon first time log in. There are people who don't want to have to regrind a template, be it a crafter, combat, or support onto a fresh charactor. Allowing a newly unlocked second slock to choose non-jedi skills in the same way as in the pub 9 conversion process would definately easy tensions and take the sting out of having one's main become a jedi.

Ok , what about those who already unlocked before publish 9, the current Jedi? Will their main toon now be force sensitive and have the 6 branches and the xp to train all 4 boxes in each branch?

That is highly HIGHLY unlikely. What have the pre-Publish 9 unlockers done to deserve another Jedi character? If they want to make their main Jedi, they'll have to get visited by the old man and complete the quests just like everybody else. "But my main has mastered 23 professions and unlocked, can't he use those 23 profs to get free branch unlocks on his own character?" Well, that's something that the developers will have to think about. I would think the fair resolution would be to reset the "free branch unlocks" for the main character of an account with an pre-P9 FSCS so that they'll have to do all the quests. They've already effectively cashed in those free branch unlocks on their current Jedi.

Its already been confirmed on Test Center Eclipse that the main gets visited by the old man automatically and the branches unlock (just like post 9 unlockers before today) so its not that far of jump to assume that our main is being treated the same as post 9 unlockers and could be given the xp for the branches.

Well, it was pretty obvious unlockerswould be starting NEAR padawan. The REAL question is what about the close-to-unlockers. I hope their "soon" answer is really soon. I'm on27 now, and haven't unlocked.. I'd really hate to be the guy who did 31/32 by next tuesday, and find out the pre-unlock credit is junk. I really hope they do give fair credit, especially to those that are above 25 done.

Guys, FORGET ABOUT THE HOLOCRONS. That's an old system, it's over and done with. If you think 4 holos were 80% of the work when most people grinded 25-32 professions to get jedi, you really have no clue. I grinded out 19, I know people who did 32. Some one who did 4 holos does not deserve to get 80% of the way to jedi, however some one who did 26 probably deserves having 80% of the FS boxes. Stop asking for 4 holos to = 80%, it's not gonna happen and frankly it shouldn't.

I grinded out 19 professions, 19 is approx 60% of 32. Honestly, I'd be happy to start with 2 or 3 FS lines in the new system.

My faith in the devs is some what restored. I did cancel both my accounts becaues pub 10 as is on TC is truely a slap in the face to hologrinders and post 9 unlockers. I've reactivated them for another month, if the keep listening and start to be fair then I'll stick around for JtL.

I disagree. Holocrons should count for alot as they were the original route to unlocking Jedi and were what made you force sensitive after publish 9.

It is not any players fault that the silent holocron profession was part of the game and IMH it should'nt have been. The system should have been 4 holocrons to unlock and that would be end it.

Holocrons were not easy to find or loot.

Doing 4 holocrons should count the same as doing a alot of professions.

I wanted to unlock so I did what the blue cube told me, I spent 10 days doing dancer, 7 days doing CH and 3 days grinding tailor and your telling I should't be rewarded for it ?

I think I am as entitled to free FS skills as anyone else really.

Okay,

Here is my take. I been playing this game since July 2003. I am a casual player, I play about 1 1/2 to 2 hours a day for 5 days a week, and sometimes more, depends on work and other r/l choires. I applaud everyone who unlocked their jedi, they deserve it. I also hope theindividuals thatdidn't unlock but did over 25+ professions getfair credit for there achievements.

Iplay on Wanderhome,in-game name is Dmarty THEexplorer (if you see me online, say hi). I have mastered a total of a total of 6 professions.I haveover 75 badges. I am also a rebel. WhenI first started, Iwas like, I would love to become a jedi. I got my first holo. Well, it said to master Image Designer. Then I said to myself, holy crap. I have no interest. So,then from that point on, I said, I will just play the game. I, as a casual player, don't have the time to just log in, get buff'd, then grind. That is just tooooooo boring. If I would of done that, I would of quite. I love this game. So, now I am stuck. I don't expect creditfor just completing just 6 profession, even thought I love everyone profession I did. I am currently a Master TK/Master Rifleman, brawler 4/0/0/0, markman 4/0/0/0and fencer 2/0/2/4 and have a totalof 12 skill points left.

Well, my whole beef with the new system is the HIGHfsxp requirement. You think I am going to want to grind a whole year just be jedi? I not sure. That a little much. The game is fun, the people are great, but to say that I need to grind forever just be a jedi isboring. This is a game. The continuity went out the window so why the big push to keep jedi hard to get. Not saying it should be handed to anyone,I would accept 3-6 months then I say it'sfair butwiththe current system, it's just not right. So, devs, pls rethink the requirements. Make the game fun and keep adding content.

So

The person using one character to grind for a year, not playing the game, using macros to accomplish all thier boxes, is not an active participant in a profess, and make the job of real members of a profession harder get rewareded.

But

Someone who is an active member of the community, participates on multiple servers, has serveral characters because they love the game and enjoy playing... gets no reward?

I guess the person having fun has already been rewarded and the person grinding needs a reward.

Excellent work. It is good that the people who did exactly what all the other Jedi had to do before Publish 10 will get Jedi as they should. Thank you and good work!
