Thread: Vehicle Issues...
i have had my speederbike autostore many times. only twice while riding though. the other 3 to 5 times it has been parked while i was tending harvesters or destroying a lair. dang bike dissappears right when i need to run away.
and then there is the 2 times that i couldnt store it and i could pull out another. now mind you this was after the first day. remember that crazy day with all the vehicles parked around the starports? really hated moving near startports cause of all the exploding vehicles.
finally you do know that if i get on a shuttle and go somewhere after leaving my bike out, i can store it from the other end, and then pull it out and it is totally repaired? i heard someone say that this was fixed. just tried it last night after hearing that, still a problem boys. ![]()
If you try to repair your vehicle while sitting on it, the repair will be 'undone' when you next retrieve it from your datapad.

not only when you're sitting on it...every dang time !!!
We are supposed not to cheat and play fairly right ?
But how am I supposed to do this if every friggin time I repair my swoop for 3900 creds, it autostores eventually and the repair has gone down the drain ?
Wont get backmy money, though...that is gone.
I've repaired my stupid bike 3 times now...with nice, log off pauses in between...Result: I'm rid of almost 12k and my bike is still damaged.
To some rich kickbutt hunters that might not be a lot, but to me it sure is.
So, I think I am forced to use this "leave-shuttle-outside-hop-on-a-shuttle-and-bike-is-repaired" exploit, because there seems to be no other way to have my bike repaired permanently.
So please fix that bug FAST...and think about some compensation to those who want to play without using an exploit...and have lost a bloody fortune due to this bug.I like when I dismount 40m from a lair and *POOF* ... I'm standing next tosome very upset rancors. I didn't even wiggle my nose.
For vehicles, I woulda liked to see a mechanic class.
Customization - Color, trim color, icons, maybe graphical enhancementsfor clans.
Diagnosis - Add gauges to the HUD for SPEED ,INCLINE, DANGER/DAMAGE to avoid damage if it's possible as well as to determine vehicle composition (for salvage mentioned below).
Repair and Modification- Medic for vehicles - requires parts/material, Vehicle power ups, Additional seats, etc.
Salvage - Break down destroyed items that require over 5000 units of material to make for some material back (based on Salvage skill). A true junk dealer profession is born.
Issue/not issue...(I consider this an issue, butforgive the postif you do not).
Please consider allowing vehicles to be called from houses. Not just from a single declared residence.
I have yet to see where an exploit lay for justification of this restriction. Those of us w/out scout skills would appreciate the consideration.

When player city garages go live will /cityban be effective with them?
I really hope it will because we really need all the leverage we can get since the removal of /citywarn

if someone is /citybanned in city 'A' and tries to use a garage to repair a vehicle in city 'A' the person will not be able to

there isa bug with them relating to auto repair, i will not post it here but will sen a /bug in game.

Someone suggested allowing vehicles to be called from houses other than primary residence. How about from any house you are on admin on??? (It's outside this topic - but why do I have to own a house to declare residence? consider this, I'm married - but my wife & I cannot have a common residence!)
Warping - yes
Autostore - yes ... might be vehicle related?
Not storing - yes ... seems my droids are doing the same thing. Gets me a bit edgy when I'm planning to get a TEF and someone drops me a tell asking me about my droid... the droid which I stored and saw vanish.
Not repairing - bah! I'm totally against how repair is done. Three words come to mind - PLAYER BASED ECONOMY. The rates for repairs mean that land speeders are disposible vehicles.Swoops may very well be the same. (I can get a new landspeeder CHEAPER than a full repair.) REPAIRS SHOULD BE DONE WITH KITS SOLD BY PLAYERS USED IN PROXIMITY TO A GARAGE. OR BY SOME SKILL LEVEL OF ARTISAN WITH RESOUCES AT A GARAGE. Perhaps FUEL? Maybe another level of artisan can fix vehicles on the field. Maybe DROIDS can repair them...
Simple design issue: Make the vehicles be mute or with a much lesser "repulsor-humm" when parked..instead of the loud engines lit noise it currently have.
Otherwise nice, altough I don't like the store-thingy at all. You want to store your vehicle? Put it in a garage. otherwise you have it with you. Leave it somewhere? Let it dissapear after a while and be able to be bought back from the closest junk vendor. I'm too much of a roleplayer to like the idea with one or multiple vehicles in my pockets.
