Concepts that need to be fleshed out:

In-game ambient and situational music needs a drastic overhaul - they're far to sparse and/or broken.

Player-city streets- this is needed for atmosphere

Combat vehicles

The character creation system and amount of professions are robust enough that it saddens me not to see more done with it. Why be limited to just profession dabbling? Sure you get the obvious benefits of having some medical skills in any profession and combat and so forth. But what I'm looking is something more expansive.

For example I think it would be cool if we got certain benefits either in our stats or skills granted to us when we earn certain professions. Right now a master rifleman can pick up crafting skills and manufacture their own weapon powerups. The benefit of this is that they don't have to rely on others for them, can even sell them for a nice profit, but ultimately will always somewhat more powerful weapons. What if that rifleman was granted a unique skill though. For spending the skill points, time, energy and grind to earn master rilfeman and some crafting skills, what if he got a unique skill that allowed him to create more specialized powerups for rifles that have better benefits then the norm.

Or something to that effect. For every combination of professions or dabbling, you get a trade off, positives in one area and negatives in another to balance it out. Take a medic who has scouting abilities, they would be able to harvest more effective/better hides, bones and meat off of creatures for creating better stimpacks.

I know the current profession system already works more or less like I'm stating, I already cited some examples. I think it would just lead to more creative and decision involved in people's choices on what they master in the game.

I've been thinking about this, maybe it's a dumb idea, I dunno - but hear it is to be loved or flamed ^_^

First, lower the Skill Prices of Skills to 5 points for a Novice block, and 5 points for a Master block. Have every block in between be 1 point. This means mastering a Profession costs only 26 points.

Next, reduce the number of available Skill Points to 50

This means a player can only ever Master one class, with a remainder of 24 Skill Points. Of course, this would mean a revamp for Professions like BH or Commando that require multiple Mastered Professions, but I don't think that would be an overly big deal. Most people only master prerequisite Profs. simply because they are the prerequisite.

My next idea is this (lets see if I can explain this right ^_^)

Skill Point Allocation should be re-adjustable, WITHOUT a loss of earned XP. This means a player can change his skills by re-allocating Skill Points without Surrendering skills. However, this option should only be available in special buildings like the Guild Houses in NPC cities. This way players aren't changing skills on the fly in the middle of combat. A player also needs all prerequisite skills in order to allocat points to a skill - i.e. a Player wants to change from Carbine 3 to Pistols 3. That player must put points into Pistols 1 and 2 before he can activate Pistols 3.

might have been mentioned before but creature handlers need somewhere they can store their pets, i currently have 11 pets, thats alot for anyone too have i know but how else am i supposed to get my babies too grow, a stable would be nice, a private/public stable which would allow players too store their pets and so while their in the stable they can still grow, maybe make it so it's maintenace cost isn't too high but so players have too stock it with food for the pets too grow, i'd like to hear more opnions on this

Here is a really nice idea:

Mods for speeders! Something we can use to make them go faster. Even if this is implemented in much the same way as Burst run or Gallop for mounts. Just enough to give us some boosters on these babies.

Not to compare this to EQ, but we need something like EQ had.

EQ had many places to go to, where you would find a number of people at the entrance. You couldn't enter without a group of people.

Make new places that required groups, AND, make experiance harder to get. I can't believe people can and have mastered 20+ professions. It took me almost a year to be a level 60 cleric in EQ. I loved every second of it too.

This game seems to be full of Masters of everything. The middle of the road is too short.

Give me more tailor schematics, the people of starwars r looking more and more similar as they progress, if there were more bio-mods for clothing to help in combat and more clothing the characters in starwars would look more unique.

Bounty Hunter Rocket pack with two purposes.

1. General Travel, Many players have said that a Bounty Hunter should not show up on radar until in combat, and that a BH should have more efficient methodds of transportation than the average Joe. Use the BH rocket pack as an alternative means of travel. While in flight you dont show up on radar and you move reasonlably quicker than a swoop. Make it so that you have limited fuel load so that you have to land from time to time and re-load.

2. If you enter combat in flight or enter combat then take flight, your height is limited to stay in range and you again appear on radar. Also because staying level to shoot means that you have to lean back, have it that you take DOT action damage as the backpack singes the backs of your legs, limiting the amount of time you can stay air-born in combat. Have it as a means of escape for BH against Melee class or Jedi. Also have accuracy reduced on weapons whilst in air. Make the act of taking off limited to once every 1 min or so, as the initial charge for takeoff needs to recharge or whatever, so that a BH cant just constantly evade a melee class character.

Give shematic for BH jet pack at Investigation 3 or 4. And sit back and imagine how cool it would be to see a BH engaging atarget and then Jetting off backwards ala Jango Fett whist still opening up with a scatter (or duel pistols .. please) Or in a faction fight imagine two sides clashing with each other and in the middle of it all, 2 or 3 characters simply take off. Of course this will make everyone want to bea BH so your gonna have to think of pretty cool stuff to give to otherproffessions too, or.. make the shematic for the jetpack a very rare very hard to find and very expensive to make item.

Is it possible to have characters exist above ground level? or is this a concept outside the working function of the game. If there is no chance of there ever being a BH Jet pack, or if BH isn't going to be given the skills, abilities and gadgets associated with the proffesion from the Star Wars universe, please say so, as i can start a new character as a chef or something.

would be kool but a master artisan should make it, but why can't anyone else use it, when they add the space addon there would have too be apilot profession, let pilot profession use it also...still anyone who's trained in it's use should be able too use it

I have an idea for a new idea which I think would be really useful to players.

Why not have a 'notice board' outside starports in major cities that allows players to post messages of various subject types?

For example:

- undera vendors area people could post waypoints to their shops, describe what they sell, etc.

- undera buy & sell area people could post things they're selling or want to buy.

- undera misc area people could leave messages to friends

- under a Galactic Notice area there could be messages from the Empire, etc...

Obviously they're should be rules so that people don't abuse it. Possibly 5 messages per day, while messages stay alive for a period of a week.

They're could be various other regulations as well. I think it would be a much more in-game 'feel' to have something like that than people posting the matters 'out' of game, if you know what I mean.

I just think it would be a handy and very useful idea.

Just re-read my post and the first line was supposed to read "I have a new idea..." not idea twice like that...

But as an addendum, i was thinking that there could be extra rules such that a person couldn't 'spam' the notice board - like restrictions on the number of entries in certain areas (vendors, etc)

Again I was thinking about this when I came to places like Theed or Bestine or others where the main plaza is spammed with shouts of vendor waypoints. Now i dont think this idea would solve that - but it would sure be useful when someone comes to a city or town for the first time and they can get an easy listing of what vendors are available locally.
