Any thoughts on how to stop everyother pvp player from using a jawa rifle or stun baton?
No. Do you find this to be a problem?
Yes, thats a SERIOUS problem. Stun damage, the damage type that one would think would be the LEAST effective, is the MOST effective type in PVP.

No. The effects of food buffs are not cleared when you clone. They have to naturally time out.
Okay now you will have to clarify. You say the EFFECTS of Food Buffs are not cleared. But the EFFECTS are what clears when you clone. The only thing that stays is the TIMER. Your HAM goes back to normal when you clone and the TIMER remains. If the EFFECTS are not supposed to be cleared you have a nasty bug on yer hands that needs to be fixed ASAP.
the nutrious food is still in your stomach, and its being digested, but you dont receive a buff from this? how does this make any sense?

Let's not call it cloning. Let's call it bacta treatment, and make this a Star Wars game!
Just think, TH, the palatability of this crazy system being increaed manifold by a simple move to fitting into the established continuity!
Bacta would easily clear the effects of drugs, but do nothing for the matter in your tummy.
Bacta is continuity. Cloning isn't.

TH's question is a valid one. How do you know people are AWOL?
If you know because they TOLD you that they're AWOL, tell them to redeed their houses since you're having such a nice conversation and everything. If they're your Frat buddies and you know they all quit, walk into the Frat house and say guys, I need those lots, log in one last time and clear them out ok?
Hard to log in "one last time" when their accounts are inactive. Unless you think they should have to re-activate their account just to redeed the house? Note I said I received "emails" from said players. I did not say I received an ingame email.
I had someone quit the game on me this week. I didn't raise a fuss, we all know what an addicting grind SWG can be, and when you've put your time in and had some fun, hey, it's your call. I met him in-game and he /transferstruc'd his house to me. Now if I have someone for it, I'll move them in there, if not, I'll use the lot for something else.
That is a great idea...if you do not have anything on your lots to take the structures from them. Just because I'm a Mayor does not mean I can give up my lots. I need to be able to make money somehow myself, don't I? And some structures, such as PAs, take up way to many lots to just transfer them.
If someone hasn't logged in for six weeks and I haven't heard from them, I have no d4mn business passing judgment on their gameplay. Being Mayor doesn't mean being Tinpot Galactic Dictator. It means I run a city. I don't own it, I run it.There's rocks and dunes where I can't build, there's places where people had houses before I showed up, and there's places where inactive players have houses. Deal with it.
It's not as easy to just "deal with it" when you have no other space in your city to move players. Rank I and Rank III are no big deal, but when you're dealing with Rank II good luck. Ranks 1&3 provide 100m radius around City Hall, but Rank 2 only provides a paltry 50m to work with. And while we may not be allowed to dictate the city, so to should the Developers not be allowed to punish the active players of a City because of a short-sightedness in their programming.
I've posted in a bunch of threads and have yet to be noticed. I still dislike the whole reorganization of posts so that dissent is pushed into the individual galaxy forums rather than out in the general public where it should be. Dissent is essential to change. The forums should be a place to encourage people to voice their problems with the game in order to fix those problems, but that is an aside.
For the love of God, please tell us if grinding 25 professions after silent holo is going to have any affect that grinding just the 4 holo professions does not in the new jedi system. TH has stated that our grinding will be taken into account in the new system, but CSR's have been telling people that only the first 4 holo professions will contribute to the new system. The 3 months of heavy playing between profesison 4 and 29 seems to be something that deserves consideration, and those of us who are in the middle of that need to know if we are wasting our time.

You don't find a problem in everyone flocking to rifleman, just for easy PvP winnings? Player vs Player is dying in the game, people aren't enjoying PvP as much, if at all.
Isn't that a problem?
The Combat Revamp (posted by JustG) is going to be reconsidered, rethought...whatever. Who knows when this will come into play. Stun defense resources seem to...never spawn, or if they do AS are forced to sell stun protecting armor for nigh-millions...
Doing the math, player vs player is based on armor, buffs, damage types, and weapons used. Classes that do health/action damage (all basically) are negated in PvP due to 70-80% armor resists, defenses, and buffing effects further negating the damage.
The result is a single target: the Mind Pool. Healed only by CMs (who you never see doing this), blue milk, which if drank FURTHER reduces how much your stomach holds, musician/dancers buffs, brandy, and muon all help the mind be defended. Even with a 33% Stun Helmet (the best on average), Dancer and Musician Buffs (so...+1000, +700. +700) two Brandy (+700, +700), and a Muon (+500) That gives you a mind on average...3200 for the 10 minute span of the muon. (IF LUCKY)
The average Jawa Ion Rifle in the hands of a Master Rifleman does 600-700 damage on the mind, adding the AR1 resist, 33% resist, buffs resisting damage...this ends up being a 300/400 point shot.
Once per second...over say a 10 second span is 300/4000 damage on the mindpool. Even with buffs, a stun helmet, buffs, foods, muon...you name it.
The average PvP action happens when people are unable to get buffed by dancers and musicians, thus they only have the Brandy and Muon...meaning a mind of 2200 if they're lucky. So basically instead of 10 seconds...it's 5 seconds till death.
How is that NOT a problem?
Now, I firmly believe rifleman are fine as they are -- they're an actual working ranged class, Carbineers and Pistoleers are...well...only PvP worthy when combined with BH, or Smuggler (for Pistols.) But even Rifleman are saying stun damage needs a work-around, or balanced somehow.
Would this ever be balanced so other professions are as useful? Since JustG posted the Combat Revamp being rethought...we can no longer "wait till the revamp."
Why don't poisons/diseases get the pvp damage reduction?
All combat questions will be in the combat balance. It is being discussed at a pretty high level at the moment and I dont know what the outcome is yet.
this needs to be adressed, i dont pvp much at all but when i do its pretty annoying that one CM can pretty much wipe out the group, disease and poison resists MUST be added, as it stands now the CM has a 100% chance of hitting everyone in the radius, with any other attack there is a chance to miss based on the accuracy of the attacker, very unballanced
