I think it amusing the fist few post here are so positive and thankfull lol makes me wonder if anyone was asked to be the first to post and in what manner to post in.
Is this response an actual heartfelt apology and admission of mistakes, or simply put more fluff to apease the disgruntled masses.
Seems to me we were all brushed aside during the interview for PR and now its time to repair relations with the communtiy and to try and stop the population leaks (Cancellations).
I HAVE NO QUESTIONS FOR YOU TO ANSWER, WHY YOU MAY ASK, BECAUSE I HAVE LOST FAITH IN ANYTHING YOU OR ANY OTHER REPRESENTITIVE MAY SAY.
BOTTOM LINE IS ACTIONS SPEAK LOADER THAN WORDS, POLITICALLY CORRECT APOLOGIES MEAN NOTHING IF THE PERSON ISSUING THEM DOESNT LEARN FROM HIS OR HER MISTAKES AND CONTINUES TO REPEAT THEM.

Where exactly? The entire post was just corporate flim flam that told us nothing. At the end of the day the development team are doing a poor job. When i first got this game(the day of uk release) one of the first things i did was sign up for the forums. Let me be honest,i read some of the posts before i began playing to get an idea of what i could expect to see in the game. The negativity on the forums back then nearly made me take the game back to the shop for a refund. Here it was a mmorpg i had heard so much about and waited so long for to come out in the uk and it seemed riddled with bugs and problems. However i was impressed by all the "honest" talk by the development team as to what was coming and how the game would be fixed.
Here we are almost a year later and there is absolutley no change. Just how long do sony as a company really think we as players will stick with this? Wake up and smell the coffee sony...you are at crisis point. You are not doing enough to keep us playing,broken systems and no content will not keep us here. Im sick of you telling us how excited YOU are about the game Mr Blackman...who cares if you are or not?! We certainly arent! Fix the game! Bring in some content! Give us something to do! Make us enjoy this game again!
There will be a few months of renewed interest after JTL is launched then back to square one again.
Stop giving us excuses,just fix the game

At the risk of sounding political, the SOE folks are taking a page from the Bush economics team:
If you claim that everything is fine and that people should be happy, maybe they'll ignore the truth at just sit back and take it.
They won't fix the game. They might be able to, but they will not. Period. To them, it's fine like it is and you should keep shoveling over $15/month as is, and you're ungrateful grumblers if you disagree with them. That's why I just cancelled all of mine.

not sure where i sit as ive loved and hated this game, one thing i do think tho mr HADEN surly this letter should be sent to the mag where u gave those interviews to, its all well and good saying this in a forum post to all the people concerned by your comments but what about all those magazines readers who dont get to see this and belive that there are no real problems with the game ??? wich we all know otherwise, and if not for your comments discrediting us in magazines , they would all have a fair idea of the problems also .

Can you please describe some of the work that has been done on the combat re-bal-vamp since it was first mentioned to us eight months ago? I mean, a combat revamp has been talked about since 12/03/03 and we have been being promised that "it's underway", "the development is being done all along", etc etc etc, can you provide us with some actionable items that have been completed or specific things that have been worked on with a signifcant effort? I see the hard working going into all of the little changes that you're pushing out to try and show you care, but I, and most of your forum posting player base, want to know what's been done in the last 8 months and 1 day.
Btw, apology accepted for your insult to usin the gaming mag. We all have bad days and I'm sure you were pretty stressed at all of the hate mail we sent to anyone and everyone that would listen. That couldn't have gone over well with your boss.
Also, I did notice another thing that I think may be a misperception on your part. Do we want JtLS? YES! Is it important to us? YES! Is this (admittedly nifty and required) expansion going to help the game? YES! Isthisexpansion more important than fixing the base game? NO! I hope that helps clarify how so many people could be telling you that they want the JtLS expansion out and that it's important to gameplay and the staw warsy feel and anything else they are saying.
Now, the opposite would be true if JtLS had been released as the core game before Galaxies was released. If JtLS was the basis for the system, it would be more important to get it fixed that it would be to get the Galaxies expansion out.
Anyway, thanks for your time.

The biggest problem here is that we have been lied to. These are not mis-statements, re-statements, or whatever other terms you want to use to spin this. Has inter-department communication really been so bad? Why else have so many actions been either contradictions to earlier problems, or been "enhancements" to the game which have done nothing more than remove fun from the game while ignoring the core problems.
Yes, tons of people left because space combat is not yet in SWG. Could it also be that SWG itself is broken and that if the core of this game was fixed people would stick around till JTL?
Bottom line, I DON'T TRUST YOU. For a long time you have had the benifit of the doubt. I held out even after many of my friends have left saying "This game blows" and I kept telling them that improvements were comming. That they were working on things. I believed this because we kept on being told you were working on things. Now you tell us that you never promised anything about a re-vamp and that you haven't been working on it, but it might get addressed next year.
I'll believe it when I see it. I just don't trust that I ever will.

Ilike how you are fixing overdue bugs and issues befor Patch 10. However server issues must also be addressed. Lag is unberable even on lightly populated servers when engagind in PvP. Fine for 5-6 people to tangle but any more and server starts to strain. I tried to engage in a large Combat event on Naritus (BoC) with 200 or so participants ...... horrible ...could not do anything..... and that type of encounter is what Star Wars should be .... fine to have small encounters but you need to be able to handle epic battles. I hope you increase server capability for JTL .. otherwise itcould be a disaster.
Oh, how will you keep up with bug fixs, issues &revamps with both SWG and JTL in future? Not all will purchase JTL will they get added content after JTL launches?
I really do like this game, and feel it has Amazing potential. It is just taking longer to get the Star Warsy feel to it than i would like. I really do hope JTL does this for the game.

You know what... after a lot of thought, I ahve decided to quit star wars myself.... I have decided to play EVE-Online.... They say it would take around 15 years to master all the skills in that game. So I am thining that maybe SWG will be fixed by then, or atleast the smugglers get a little something by then, in anycase Hayden, you are a P I E C E O F S H I T. I could give 2 craps and a wet turd if you ban me, EAT ME.

Now I am counting on you folks to make JTL awesome. Cause if I'm dissapointed in the game, I'm gone and so will a lot of players if it's a downer.
