TH,

What is the "compensation" method for those of us that have completed multiple masteries in our search for force sensitivy before Pub 10?

It's a simple question; please answer it.

We've been talking about that quite a bit over the past few days. As soon as things are nailed down and once we get through the combat information, I'll be able to post regarding whats going on.

What about those who unlock between 9 and 10? Will they start out as Force Sensitive or as a Jedi?

TH yet again I'll ask of you:

What about armor resists for Jedi? We were initially informed that our tunics would have resists similar to the high end composite after the combat balance. You are contradicting yourself in that armor is not a necessity due to the fact you just pushed 2 more sets of armor onto Test Center for Wookiees. They could pick up innate defences as well but armor was felt as a requirement for them. Where's ours?

No offense, but I think you guys are seriously overpowered as it is without 90% resists on your robes...

One on one against a Jedi Knight..of course you'll be overpowered...

When you've grinded 20+ professions, have to risk losing xp/skill loss while u grind, have to grind out millions and upon millions of xp to level up, then...and only then can u come back here and complain that Jedi are overpowered.

I am curious about this myself, as it stands now I have multiple mastered professions, yet now that the path has changed I want to make an entirly diffrent character. I always expected a character slot to open and make that character a jedi now that you obtain FS with your current character I want to remake my current character, but I cannot bring myself to do that till I know what I'll be losing by disregarding the mastered professions I have done thus far

i've played just as long as you, and i bet i've killed just as many things as you, jedi are overpowered. But, it should be that way, it's what the dev's wanted, why you are trying to say they aren't (maybe this is not what you mean?) is beyond me. Maybe im reading too much into what you're saying? /shrug

Yes Jedi Knight's should be able to take people one on one, you're right. Jedi Knights in this game can take down GROUPS of Ranged Professions because saber block is godly and nothing goes through. I had my sharing of grinding (27 professions), does that count as 20+ Lindanna?

Although I admit I haven't had to lose or risk XP loss while I grind, but I bet I have had my share of millions of XP...

as u cn see from my sig, ive done my share of grinding, but not anymore. Just because there is yet no information about the compensation, only rumors.

I think you do have it "nailed down" but dont want to give out that information yet, because, frankly, if you were to come out and say for instance "28 profs" or "30 profs" needed to be automatically padawan.. well of course id drop my current template and grind like mad to get those 2 or 4 in time.

**edit**, i'm sick and tired of you jedi knights touting your grind and XP loss as your justification for being able to kill multiple players at once.

listen: the grind was your choice and you played the game just as hard as i did during those months. you are not a better player because you ground out X # of professions.

furthermore, continuity is not a valid justfication for jedi to be overpowered. there is no logical reason a jedi knight should be able to take on a group of players in this game. you cannot use continuity as an arguement while at the same time forsaking continuity as an arguement for jedi rarity, and jedi not acting like jedi at all. stop for a second and reread that last sentance... ALL of you say "but jedi SHOULD be powerful, they are JEDI!" no. you aren't jedi. you are a bonus character awarded by a dubious system. you are swordsmen. you are mules. you do not have the quad damage.

and after all that is said, it's still horribly apparent that despite jedi able to make half a million XP IN ONE BUFF SESSION, the general populace still touts jedi as a long grind, and XP loss as a horrible punishment. i'm willing to conceed that jedi should be slightly overpowered to be able to make up for XP loss, but able to take on 10 characters at once? please. XP loss is a bump in the road towards knight, and only an issue to the non powergamers to which jedi does not cater.

when jedi act like jedi, (both dark and light) when jedi are rare like jedi are supposed to be, when achieving and maintaining jedi is difficult for powergamers and clueless noobs alike, then come back on here and talk about how underpowered you are. until then you should accept parity with any other melee profession and i believe it's an understatement to say you currently have that.
