From my perspective I think the home run record's gonna be crumbling if this patch comes off smooth. I just cannot believe how many FUNDAMENTAL and game FOUNDATION changes are finally starting to appear. It's definitely a breath of fresh air and serious SERIOUS congrats to the development team and TH.

Thanks Thanks Thanks!!!

Don't shoot me for this question, but will the Jedi system be changed or not? I read different information everywhere and each piece of it seems to be about as clear as a Tatooine sand storm. I tried locating a definite answer to my question somewhere on these boards, but that task proves a very time stealing one.

Will the current -and quite ludicrous-system of having to unlock a force sensitive slot with a character be altered or not? If so, when and what will be they changes? If not, why -not a lot of people seem to like the way things are-?

I still don't understand the need for this. Can you present some senarios where this is benneficial to gameplay stability? Also if this does make it in will pets still be able to be called with zero delay in a camp?

Yeah, right. Combat Medics are always about 120m away throwing their AoE poisons/diseases. Docs have to stay right up next to the rest of the team so they can try to keep some of them cured.

Um, current max range for a poison or disease is 64m; the area of effect does extend this, but the primary target must be within 64m.

Docs shouldn't be anywhere near front-line combat. They should be in the med centers or camps curing wounds, doing buffs, etc. Similarly, CMs should be the ones doing rez, not Docs (at least, not exclusively).

I agree, Docs should be better at doing those things; perhaps giving higher HAM costs to CMs for doing rez, cures and the new fireblanket would be a good compromise. Again, continue to have the schematics Doc-only; but allow CMs to buy and use the stuff.

But, IMO, it doesn't make sense to give Docs even more incentive to be in the middle of combat. That should be the purview of the CM.

What I realized was:

Jedis do not have any resists... How about to give them at least a chance to
resist a dizzy knockdown which means 100% death to the Jedi and since
in P7 the BHs are able to track the PC Jedis it will beeasy 150k credits for
any BH and a fast loss of life for the Jedi Player.

Maybe think about it?

My 2 cents.. Thanks..

""Bounty Hunter Jedi Tracking Missions: Now, Bounty Hunters can track player Jedi in the same manner as their NPC targets. Bounty Hunters can get a mission from the bounty hunter terminal for a player Jedi. Go to your contact to get the bio-signature. Then just use your seeker/probot droid to find your target. Keep in mind that unlike the NPC targets, players will move around unpredictably. (As a result, the location updates can lag behind a couple of minutes.) Additionally, Bounty Hunter tracking speeds have been fixed and now as the hunter increases in skill, the speed skill will increase."

...and when every Jedi who plays more than 20 minutes has to fend off two dozen unconsented PvP attacks, I will be very interested to see what happens. I don't particularly care for this whole system, but I know there are plenty of bounty hunters out there that are frothing at the mouth because they get a chance to hunt players. Whatever. Unconsented PvP doesn't work. Look at the difference in the subscription rates of UO and EQ at their all time highs. Look at the retention rates.

I'm sure there will be many here who will argue and flame this post, and they can have at it. There is a growing frustration in the Jedi community regarding this whole issue and I will be willing to bet you get your wish of making jedi super rare...subscribing jedi at any rate.

You hit the nail on the head my friend. With the droids working now, whena Jedi sees the blue dot coming they jump on thier bike and run away. The BH just follows them around, and what you have a chase that will continue until the Jedi can get far enough ahead of the BH to catch a ship off world (and hopefully log out before the droids find them again) or the Jedi or BH have to log out, ending the chase. If the Jedi has to log out first they're going to die, period. No fun there. Jedi is supposed to be hard, but I don't remember the devs ever saying it's supposed to be pure frustration and no fun.

Since skill stacking is going to be hard cappedsoon how will that affact the jedi? Their power comes from stacking three (all jedi) professions. I hope the developers havent over looked this in their design.

How about AoE Cure Disease and AoE Cure Poison for Docs

to balance the HAM costs and time needed between 1 use of AoE Poison

and multiple uses of Single Cure Poison.

My 2 cents...

Most of these changes sound great... the only one that worries me is Warcry

I'm sure lamers in PVP are behind this change, keeping people from fighting back is definetly bad for the PVP fun level... however its a critical piece of the PVE player-tank's arsenal.

You've designed some really mean monsters in this game, capable of doing damage in the thousands... Staying alive vs these beasts is tremendously difficult even if you can warcry them to keep them out of half the fight (remember tha warcry eats up combat rounds, HAM, and doesnt even always work...)

If you're going to be upping our defensive potential to compensate for this, thats fine, but as it stands you're pushing right back towards all being creature handlers...

The change you recommend for this skill: a way to stop monsters from packing, is a welcome and long overdue one. I'd rather it became its own skill and you left warcry alone, but whether its warcry or some new skill, please please please make it a radius... not a cone. Social creatures swarm around you, they dont come in a nice straight line. Furthermore, since it doesnt have any effect on the monster you are actually attacking I'd suggest doubling the duration (20 seconds at warcry 1, 40 seconds at warcry 2). Make player characters immune to the effect, so that it doesnt affect PVP and get a bunch of whiners on the boards. Please remember that 80% of us dont PVP at all.

Right now a player with master brawler and master in one of the melee professions is a reasonable tank in a group... remove our ability to stand and tank and we're just another damage dealer.... that gets hit more often and runs into out-of-range problems more.

Other than that, I look forward to publish 7 greatly.
