My views on the DWB:

There are several major concerns with this new content that have been raised by the community. Among them are the lack of content being added for the "middle class" of players, the lack of rewards for those that go in to the DWB, and the high difficulty of the MOBs in the DWB.

The "lack of content for the middle class" is a valid concern when taking into account the recent content additions to SWG. There was the Geonosian bunker, the Corvette, and now the DWB.It is important to keep in mind, however, that on first look, the Geonosian bunker was thought to be either too difficult or too easy to get through, depending on who you asked. It has since been a standard place for loot grabbing and the rewards from this dungeon are common though expensive on all galaxies.

The Correllian Corvette was initially thought to be ridiculously difficult. After several players showed that it was possible to solo it, the Corvette was upped in difficulty to staunch the flow of fancy landspeeders to the servers. It is still, even keeping in mind that there is a group size limit and a timer, a fairly common place to attack for the rare loot that is involved.

Now we have the DWB. After ONE DAY it has been declared "impossible" by the community. I say we should all give it a week or two before we lay such hyperbole on the whole concept.

As far as those concerned with the lack of content being added for the "middle class", that is somewhat valid. Another poster earlier in this thread commented on the fact that the spotlight of developer attention shifts over time and recently it has been on high end content. Taken by itself, the dungeon that gives Mandalorian armor to the players should be insanely difficult. Current comments of "impossible" should be taken with a grain of salt as the Corvette was seen as such on first look and was completed a couple of days after its release.

I was initially worried about the lack of loot in the dungeon until I realized that the purpose of this dungeon was not to reward someone that made it half way, but to reward only those that made it entirely through to the point of crafting Mandalorian armor. Does that suck for those interested in some fast loot? Sure. This turn off to some is probably part of the limiting factor on the availability of Mand. armor that the Devs are seeking.

The MOBs being insane is more than likely a response to the quickness with which players cracked the previous "high-end" dungeons. Just like the unlocking of Jedi, though, the Devs will probably take down the difficulty a notch if it goes too long without being beaten.

I'm looking forward to seeing the first multi-group group kick this dungeon's butt and show us all what lies at the end. Good hunting all, time for me to go get buffed!

Well said

Do you not get feedback from TC?
Did anyone have anything good to say about the BattleDroid bunker?

You have added something that will appeal to no-one. Well done... you wasted your time making SBD's while basic things like SEA's with two stats doesn't work, or how about making it so that when you say store on your bike, it actually stores...
Correct me if I'm wrong here, but did anyone watching the StarWars movies see people wave right before they got off their vehicles, and if they didn't they would magically warp 100m's?

I didn't want to go on this rant but this is annoying me a lot... you spent your time making battle droids... battle droids that shouldn't even be there... all because of one single LucasArts employee wanted mando armour and you didn't want to give it to him but had no choice... how very nice... anyone else feel ignored?

Another apparently half assed attempt at high content. Once again I have to say this as the Devs don't seem to understand:

Dumping a couple dozen SBD is a room or a hall does not make content. It is stupid and lazy.

yea all been said, very hard/impossible.

I think we need more puzzle type environment, sorta like the warren, but lets make it all happen at the same time;

In starwars, main characters are usually up against large numbers of opponents, (however not all at one instant)..while faced with a puzzle. The opponents are easy (hehe but we can handle a lil more than 1 shot kill ST) but there are too many to consider wiping them all out.

Lets say the group is stuck in a room which locks on them, and they have to figure a way to move forward/unlock door. While the puzzle is ongoing, they arehit with constant attacks from respawning entities. This is the situation that requires a group and not entirely combat orientated. Some players like the puzzle (leia & r2d2 etc)others the combat/defending (han, luke & chewy)role.

Thisis my idea of action, im sure there are many ways to implement it. Great for the majority of players i hope.

I think one one the main problems is the AI of the enemy you are attacking. Enemies seem to single out one person and lay the smack down on them alone then move on to the next. How about having the enemies switch targets if multiple people are fighting it, but output less damage.

Hmm....I must have missed the "this game is for uber-power gamers only who enjoy grinding a combat professions" disclaimer on the box when I got the game.

It is exactly this attitude that keeps the game getting worse and worse for the casual, yet paying gamer.

"Hey, I've spent 3 months, afking my profession, now I want content, all others shut up"

Yeah right.

There are a great many things I applaud SOE and the dev team for and I'm grateful for what they have given us for the most part, however I cannot comprehend this apparent course of self-destruction they're on.

Once again they have managed to alienate the core user-base - the 90% who do not wish, nor have the time to be uber. Why should I have to be loaded up with the best weapons, armour, buffs, food and drink in order to attempt content? This is not right.

The devs continue to pander to the vocal minority. Jedi Revamp, PvP changes, the Corvette, the Deathwatch Bunker - all aimed at the minority. Without the majority (the non-powergamers) this game will be nothing. Without non-combat classes this game will be nothing.

What will you do when there are no doctors, medics, entertainer, armoursmiths, weaponsmiths and so forth? There continues to be zero content targetted at the more peaceful professions. There continues to be zero new content for the majority.

Why do you persist in trying to please 10% of your customer base - do the other 90% not count for anything? There needs to be balance - and this game is sadly lacking in balance. I'm not suggesting the same content will please everyone, but this is the 3rd high-end content in a row now - where's the new mid or low-end content to balance things out?

Even some "uber" temploiters are having a hard time with high-end content (poor TKA's come to mind) due to a combination of high resists andineffective damage types - which surely must tell you devs something!

It's a sad state when players are having more fun by creating their own adventures given that your attempts are lacking.

I'm reluctant to criticise the dev team - but I have waited for years for this game and I feel it's slowly being wrenched from my grasp.

On a final note, TH or anyonewith a red name - we're not asking for a 500 word response, but some kind ofacknowledgement wouldincrease the communitiesmoraleimmensely - even if it's just a quick "I am reading this" type reply.

Comments:

Spawn rate too high .... you waste your 2 hours buff fighting off SBD and they spawn while you still fighting the previous spawn. No idea how to reach the lower levels buffed when buffing inside is impossible. They SBD can stay tough, but the current spawn rate is counterproductive.

Boba Fett ... almost no one knew who to talk to on how to get inside ... that calls for a login screen info

No experience bug ... no XP from SBD ... which irks as you spend 80 % of your time fighting them

Decay ... scratch one weapon and one suit of armor per visit ... too expensive !!

Camping .... a BIG turn off .. NPC camping and ninja looting to get inside the bunker

Lag ... but that might be a day 1 problem

Loot .... a disappointment across the board, too few, no BH armor pieces (and most people do not care to stay 7 days on Yavin or Dathomir hoping for random BS spawns), not that hot ( scythe better than hack, many pistols better than D-10 (and its slow !!)).

Non Instanced ... the idiots who enjoy dragging SBD into other groups piss off a lot of people.

Group size ... do even SURVIVE you need too large groups to have fun, to have a PERSONAL feeling of accomplishment. Never mind being successful with the tasks.

Positive points ?

Map looks better than in other dungeons.

Grafics ..... nice.

Attempts to incorporate puzzles and non-combat elements (gas --> rebreathers).

Involvement of crafters (they wont make it down alive ATM, but hey ... at least they tried)

Difficulty high ... ok .. (but not at this spawn rate)

General comment from me:

Try to cater to 95 % of the players, not to the 5 % high end players. Give us souped up multiple plot element Krayt Skull Quests (undercover cop :-) YEAH !!) !!

Try to cater to the typical 5 people group (=most fun), not multiple 20 people zergling waves.

Possible solution to crack the dungeon (may help with fighting, not with the camping and plot problems):

Every one of the 20 people in the group should get an advanced R3 "Tank" Droid with 5 autoheal and one combat module. Stay within 30 m. The droids will heal each other for 200 HAM per second ... and I doubt even SBD can dish out that much. While the droids and some players tank, the rest wipes out the SBD. You avoid most armor decay and some weapon decay.

Have fun

Im a hardcore gamer, and play this game for insane amount of hours at a time, I use 5 accounts to support my main char, a master BH/pistoleer. This cave is stupid hard, with 10 of us we spent like 20 minutes on the Super Battle Droid. With the gathering of the impossible to find BH armor, and the fact we have to take a armorsmith into that insanity, Mandolorian armor will be another failure ,just like the RIS armor. Way to go again SOE and DEVs, i guess they dont really care since they cane just get it themselves.

I have one simple comment...............

REMOVE SBD's FROM THE GAME NOW!!!!!!!!!

Nowhere in the SW canon has a droid ever stood up to a jedi, well I took my 4444 dark guardian down in there and I can do 0 damage to these insanely hyped up droids. But no, its not just me, nobody can do damage to them. Pick your poison guys, try to place insanely hard npc's that are on a relatively slow timer or place very disposable npc's that take only a few well trained players to quickly dispose of on the current spawn rate but, as it is now its impossible. There is no way to rid the aggro, the only thing thats saves you is force run2 and without it you are doomed to die. You cant use any AOE attacks or you are mobbed, so rifleman cannot use their best attack because it magically goes through the walls. Look, just give up on the droids, I mean dear goda "roger roger" would take me a full 10 minutes to kill on my jedi spamming special moves the whole time.

Well, my group got to the second room, was pretty fun.

My only complaint is that theres this one npc named ragnal or something. well he drops the key to get to the next rooms. kinda sucks to have to compete with other groups for looting right to this guy. not to mention he doesn't spawn very often...

dude, somethign has to be done about the lag. everything's lagging worse yet again. everytime there's a publish the lag seems to get worse. can we get a minipublish entitled "return of the lagless play?"

other than that, no i haven't made ti to the bunker. thought about scalping for buffs out there tho hahaha

on eclipse these some jerk doc charging 20k for buffs. but thats not what makes her a jerk. i'm soloing a SBD and getting pretty beat up, asked her for a heal, nope no heal, of course she told the guy who just died to consent her for a rez, probably wanted to buff him for 20k...

20k sounds like a good deal, cheeper than buying the tix to coronet, getting buffed then comeing back. And i dont blame her for not rezing, she probably get attackedby the same thing that killed the guy

I really hope the Dev's are reading this.

Whats the point running a dungeon with 20 people? Be lucky if one person gets loot let alone everyone. Run it 20 times?

I don't have a group of 20 uber players as friends anyway so I'm left running it with randoms so even less chance of getting loot.

You've made it so I can solo everything in the game then you add lots of new stuff that needs an army of players to do. I'm not sure SOE can win anymore. Breed a solo mentality then take it away. I see the combat re-balance coming and all of the inevitable strife it will cause. Will we still be able to solo everything we can now? Will we see groups of 20 masters getting slaughtered by Rancors? Or Rontos? Or Gnorts?
