Thread: Thoughts on the Warren?
I just started the warren and i think its great. You guys are doing a great job. One thing i thought could improve the warren, and other dungeons, would be if u had music attached to it.I dont know how difficult this would be but the other night a group went to the kunga cavem, and despite being hugely dissapointed with no rewards of any kind to speak of, i thought it was reallycool also.It would have enhanced the experience though if outside the cave, and within it, you could hear a tribal drumming beat or some sort of music attached to the place. The same coud be done with the warren, having creepy music playing as your exploring different parts of the place. Just though if this coud be done it could add to the great graphics and overall impact of the different areas. You guys are going in the right direction though with game ideas like this. thanx

Just started going through the warren, and i think its totally cool, you guys are doing a great job, and things like this are a great improvement to the game. One thing i thought could enhance the experience would be to add music to different dungeons like this. For instance, a group of us went to the kunga caves the other night, and despite being hugely dissapointed in getting no rewards to speak of (that is a big issue with the whole game i feel) it was really cool. I thought it could be improved though if as you approached the area you could hear the faint, but growing sounds of tribal drumming or something. It coudl get louder as u enter the cave and explore the depths.A similar thing could be done with other dungeons including the warren. Having creepy music playing as you explore the rooms and see corpses and destruction. Im not sure how hard this would be to add, but i felt it would really add to the great graphics and overall impact of the adventure. Keep up the good work, dont let the whiners get ya down!

Ok, the concept of The Warren is good. There needs to be a lot more stuff out there like this. But to say that the Dev's are doing a good job is going a bit far. While the idea is cool. It doesn't mean jack if it doesn't work! I can sit on Lok and get combat XP all day. So the idea of walking around The Warren for fighting doesn't mean anything. I think the main purpose of The Warren is to get 2 badges that in turn says "I survived The Warren". The problem is that it is bugged like crazy. There are people that can't get in. Others that can but then run out of keys and can't get out. I guess the letter thing has been fix, since I went there today and there was no campers there (BTW, I GAVE (as in free)the letter that I got to someone that forgot to get one and was standing next tot the widow). There are people that can't find the escapee. So key selling is still a problem. I know I've made a few bucks off keys, but I've also given away as many. Heck, I gave away a whole backpack full of keys (backpack and all) to one guy. The problem with the core. I cannot finish the second part of the quest because of this. There was a group of people waiting to get into the last room tonight because of this.
Bottom line. This was released and it doesn't work. Killing things in The Warren is not the main reason for it being there. I can kill stuff anywhere. But I can't get my badges anywhere. And since The Warren is broken I can't get my last badge there either.
So, good idea. But the next time you do something like this, try to make sure it works first. Or at the very least address the issues. Releasing something that is bugged to try to increase playing time is not the way to go.
Went to 'The Warren' tonight...and my god that place is a labryinth. Nice, really. Good concept. But the spawn rates of things that were there need to be upped. I walked and saw all the sparking consoles and half destroyed droids and expected all kinds of Resident Evil types of things to come out at me...but they never did.
And there does need to be more ambient music there as well.
All in all, if it were bug-free, it'd be one helluva place to adventure.
I think the idea of the warren is great. BUT, the fact that only ONE(1) person can complete the badge a day for the warren SUCKS. That is not very realistic and it ticksalot of folks off (like me) who have spent days there trying to figure it out, finally do and CAN NOT DO ANYTHING, oh unless we wake up at 0dark early right after the server resets and happen to be the first one in there to finish the badge.
You devs were correct in creating this warren, it is a great action spot, not even that far out from an outpost. But you really need to work on that issue of the badge completion. PLEASE
Thank you.

Well, at least on Gorath. The Warrenis horribly broken. You need to get about 50 keys, which means you have 50 waypoints to delete. Every few feet you have to take a key out of a pack and place it in inventory or you get kicked back. Now either this dungeon is horribly bugged or you required players to get so many keys and use them at every corner...either way its horribly done.

You do not have permission to access Drum
You do not have permission to access Drum
You do not have permission to access Drum

You do not have permission to access Drum
and thats all i have to say about the warren...

Same problem with me can't access the drum. And people keep saying only one person a day can access it. This needs to be fixed it is insane to let only one person or group do it a day. Still I like it just wish that one huge bug was fixed.
First fun I've had since the day I did Act 2.
Grouping even partially solved the camping problem. (Was that by design?)
It's a clusterf[censored] trying to figure out what to do for the first time, but that sorta added to the roleplay value of it. You enter solo, you talk to a few NPCs, a few other panicked PCs run by with a pile of huurtons in tow, and together, you piece together the story of what's going on and how to stop it.
Which was loads of fun right up until the point when we met another group who had the Drum Problem, and a character in the group figured out that "Oh, [censored], that must be what my friend meant when he said that only one group per server spawn can finish it!"
I'll spare the boardfilter the trouble of going through a transcript of the ensuing expletive-laced dialogue.
