No Namzo, I chose when to PvP, not the game. This game is about choices. Being scanned in a city is ok with me, but being scanned in the wilderness and forcing me to take a TEF or PvP if I get a TEF near some Overt Imperial is NOT a choice.

TH said no one should ever be forced to PvP, the whole entire reason /citywarn got nerfed and that was his exact comment.

Will items be showing if they have been sliced or not with this updated??? It is extremely unfair to let someone blindly buy something off of the bazaar and not know they are going to get pinged for it. You obviously know if the item has been sliced, please put an indicator on the item itself for us.

We've been asking for this for 7 months now, it needed to be in the game before, and it really needs to be in now.

150% necessary to do this if your cracking down on contraband please mark all items that are contriband with some sort of symbol or color.

This does not make sense:

Rebels, the penalty is:

  • Covert: Covert Rebels will be identified to all surrounding Imperials (Turned Overt)

Simple posession of spices and sliced gear should not reveal a covert rebel, because these items haveNOTHING to do with your faction. They are used and carried by all kinds of players:rebels, imperials, and neutrals.

Only faction gearlike marine armor etc.should reveal covert rebels, as it is a dead giveaway, and they will see it as they rifle through your stuff.

The Empire should not be able to identify a covert rebelunless there is a bona fide scanner in operation, just like faction bases have, or you reveal yourself by attacking their forces, or if you have factiongear on you...that is the point of being covert, right?

For all the Empire knows, you're just another scummy citizen with a stash of muon gold: Pay the fine, and move along.

Joining the Rebel Alliance in and of itself IS signing up for PvP

being Overt is full PvP

Being Covert is Limited PvP

IF YOU ARE A COVERT REBEL WHO DOESN'T WANT TO BE FORCED IN PVP THEN STAY THE HELL OUT OF IMPERIAL CITIES!!! YOU HAVE NO BUSINESS THERE!!! IT'S IMPERIAL..

This 200% correct.

Again Rhelamos, please point out your comments. I backed mine up, TH himself said it. Forced PvP is not what the Devs intended, hence the reason /cityban got nerfed because it forced people into PvP. This game forces people into PvP if they throw a TEF on me in the wilderness when I am out hunting and playing the PvE aspect of the game. PvP IS NOT THE ONLY PART IN THIS GAME. The GCW is not PvP. You chose when you want to be in it day to day. When I am out hunting, that's what I want to be doing that day, out hunting, not watching my back.

OK, let me understand this...

High ranking Imperial officers get saluted for using drugs.

hmmm...this makes some kind of sense?

We can see his exact comments here:

http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/search?type=Message&advanced=true&submitted=true&body_all=citywarn&body_at_least=&body_without=&page_size=20&subject=&author=ThunderHeart&board_id=&ratingstart=&ratingend=

Citywarn was pulled because of player griefing, not because a rebel got a tef for going into an imperial city when they didn't feel like pvp'ing right then.

I really think you all need to wait and see how this implemented feature actually effects you before making loud and strident arguments as to why it's going to ruin your game.

RedVenom, I can't own a house in KotR, but I can in SWG. I can mine stuff, make stuff, fight, harvest, do missions, kill Stormtrooper NPCs, kill Rebel NPCs, go fishing, go exploring, chat with people, run silly macros spamming all the time, dance, play an instrument, PvP.....do anything I want, and do it at my chosing at my level of enjoyment. This game is NOT all about PvP, it's about all the stuff I just listed. If I wanted to PvP all the time, I can just go play Counter Strike, Medal of Honor, or Aliens vs. Predator. Or I can play NWN on a full PvP server or Star Craft. SWG offers more choices. It's my choice how I should play and IT SAYS SO right when you start.

fine! so you answered your own question , the only things that would open you up to pvp is duing rebel missions , youll get the chance to kill 10 stormies if you get scaned in the wilderness

ok lets get this clear for any people that are pvpsofrenic

there is only 3 cities that scan people most are in corellia (cities that none go to anyways , i think is korvella ,and some other) and bestine , dont want to get attacked by players? dont go to those 3 cities , if a shake down happens on a rebel city or imp town chances are they would only be npcs that would shot at you , another choise leave your ilegal items in your bank when planing to go to a city thats imperial controled , there is ways around pvp man , use your imagination a little , its not like darthvader is going to spawn at the door steps of your home
