In the end, we were taking on the Admiral (260k HAM) with only three people, while the others explored other parts of the ship. Helluvalot of fun, really!

Forgot to mention that i (TKM only) was able to tank that Admiral UNBUFFED, while a mastercommando did the damage, and a master doc healed me while at it. Armor hole sometimes, but nothing a damage mitigation, good food and good use of the specials can't save you from

After extra consideration I have found a few points that I like about the Corvette:

  • Instanced... No Killstealers. At first I was fearful that it might take the MM out of MMORPG, but it was actually quite nice. More dungeons in this type of manner wouldn't be a bad idea. The only bad point is having help at the last minute or the possibility of finding a random doctor when you go down.

  • Time Limit... Not possible to farm.

  • Having to get a ticket... Not possible to farm.

  • Incredibly hard... Not possible to farm.

  • Not possible to farm... You have a limit as to how much time your allowed in the Corvette before having to go through the first process of getting a ticket that is in one of three places and are quite a trip. The fact that it is so difficult, you won't have many people running succusful farms. Together, both the difficulty and the hassle of getting a ticket, will discourage many players from farming whatever type of loot is available.

  • Incredibly hard... I rather have people come onto forums complaining about how hard the Corvette is then having them upset because they finished it in half the time and are already planning a second trip for more loot. Or those who complain it's too easy and can solo it. And then those who claim to be "1337" for soloing another area no different then the Jinda cave on Endor only with good loot.

I also have a few bad points:

  • Armor Hole... Here and the Geo cave were hit with high damage. That and the armor hole makes it no fun and unfair. The armor hole is also a universal problem since it spans across the entire game and not just this Corvette.

  • Decay... I said it once and I'll say it again... The only stuff getting decayed is our armor. Our armor is already decaying in use. Those who train Jedi have armor that decays even more so. Why does our armor decay if it decays in use? Our weapons don't decay and I assume that is because they decay in use. And every where... Decay is killing the game. Mainly because it's stupid. Only Armorsmiths benefit.

  • Combat... Where are the places of so many other professians here? Until you correct the drastic imbalance in combat only Riflemen and CM's can enjoy this Corvette targeting the mind. They do the most damage. A TKA or carbineer might tag along just to KD. Other then that... There is no use.

  • Tell us... Before putting this live there had to have been a group to get through the Corvette. Tell us about that!

Well,

I for one am sick of hearing people complain about the people that survive longer in the Corvette as cheaters or what not.

IF you have to reorganize the way you do something in order to accomplish your goals, you are being innovative, not exploiting something. Who are you to say what the DEVS purpose was behind this mission?

I have looked at the stats on the uber droids in there. Yeah they are tough, but not unbeatable.

Lastly,

If every mission was able to be conquered the way you do every other mission, then this game would be nothing more than bland and boring. Just because you can not handle it the way you expected to, doesnt make you bad either. Try again, change your tactics, but please, PLEASE quit whining about it.

The idea that the dev's play this game like the rest of us (not invincible/with triple-uber weapons) - priceless

I think this is a very cool battleground to test your team-playing abilities. It doesnt matter if you are elites or masters or how many you are.. What you have to do is team-play here. For example a rifleman is useless. (I did the imperial quest). Bc every rebel we engaged had high resists to acid, energy and stun.I had no SG82 so I was useless with my uber disruptor. So (at last) a commando will be of high use in here. If you ask me, use the following template. 2 melee players (preferably TKM), 1 doc 1 cm, 1 sl, 1 master gunfighter, 2 commandos. And a few more, maybe a CHM to keep them them busy. But they took down a graul mauler with 10000 Ham in 90 secs, so it's your choice. And keep the tanks alive. That's all. The doc and CM must never fight, and if they are attacked should be tanked.

I liked the place, bc it's nothing like you all shoot and kill 'em all. You need to play wise. People didn't like it bc they are used to solo everything with TKM/anything template with a good armour.

I have one question on what the definition of Neutral is?

If I am to stay out of the GCW but also play a good guy by dealing with the criminals of SWG then I don't fit into any of the mission catagories as I am considered an enemy in the neutral version of the Corvette quests because of being disliked by Jabba and his gang.

Surely a neutral quest would mean anyone can do it regardless of their faction standings without being attacked or helping someone they are enemies with?

The dude who post his replies without checking the comments of the other players - Priceless

90% of all posts here are negative but we are a few who, except for the bugs, liked this and didn't find it unbeatable. I'm master in two elite combat profs and I was using 63-80% energy resist composite, a dxr-6 (acid rifle) with maxdamage of 350, a t-21 with md of 535, a scythe with md of 340 and a powerhammer with md of 460. Hardly uber/exploited or even very good.

How do you explain that?

Well, YOU used your brains obviously, while 90% solely rely on sheer firepower, and THAT makes the difference. 'Nuff said

1. No matter what the justification it is entirely too hard. Only a few specific professions that have Medium or Heavy AP weapons that do the right damage type have a chance, the rest are just canon fodder. Its a wonder that most of the groups reporting success in completing the dungeon are made up of mostly Swordsman / Rifleman with a couple Doc/CM's along for the ride.

2. CLONE CAMPING - Why this was never covered on the Test Center is beyond me. We all died 2-3 times in the clone room because the Stormtroopers where there waiting. What is the point of this? Then you have to try to find the damn escape pod while getting shot up again, now with no buffs and all kinds of wounds.

3. ITEM DECAY - Your stuff will get destroyed either by being shot to hell by insane damage or because you get clone camped and can't reinsure your stuff so it just decays away at 5% a death. Why was this not covered? Are they testing anything over there on the Test Server?

4. Players wearing 80% resist armor are still getting hit for 3000+ damage. How are we supposed to counter this? It makes no sense. Wookiee's don't stand a chance up there the damage is just too much.

5. Attackers are shooting through walls.

Lol. This was so fun.

I have been playing SWG for about a month now. I am close the Master Doc (just need app. xp), 1/2/2/2/ CH, and a Novice Rifleman. Basically, I still suck. Went with a group of 10 that I organized. Seven from my guild, and three randoms I picked up in Bestine. All imps.

After spending three hours trying to figure out the bloody ticket thing, we finally get on ship. I lag loaded, and everyone else was already in combat when I got up there. Started healing the bejeezu out of the group, and caaled out my pet, just in case. We made it douwn the first hall, turned a corner and there are about 6 NPC's waitng for us. Needless to say, we got raped. Ownly myself and two others didn't get the DB. SO we stand up, while the other 3/4 of the team is trying to find us. We start looking for them, and lo and behold, I come across a straggler from our group (I think she got lost lol). She gets incapped. I heal her, and I get incapped. She heals me, and she gets incapped again! Lol. It was kind of funny. So finally, everyone is just randomly running around trying to make out where the hell the map is telling us where to go. The 3 unguilded members hit the escape pods. So it is just us. By this time there is about 10 minutes left. About 4 of the group is getting aggroed in the clone room. Me and the other three? Walking very slowoly past all the NPC's Lol!! It worked!! We ended up about 2 doors away from the admiral (after "tiptoe-ing past about 20 NPC's), when someone in the clone room got an AOE of, and aggroed the whole friggin' ship, again. Then we all got incapped, waited the 90 seconds, the got kicked off of the corvette (time limit).

Overall? Even though I am still a NOOB, I had fun with it, and want to do it again, if I can find some peeps to go with! My only 2 problems were shooting and getting shot through walls, and being incapped by 1 shot from an NPC with a CDEF pistol (dealt me 2k damage that was dumb. I had buffs and 80% comp.) Other than that? Had a blast, and commend the devs for this.

Don't take the game to seriously. Just have fun with it.

Great job devs, beat it with 7 in 40min (imperial assasination mission). Hit it 4 times last night, managed to get myshiny new vehicle

Only things we really had problems on were the super battle droids, mostly becuase you cant intim them but with a cm spamming area heal and mind heals noneof us died. This was the most fun ive had in a dungeon yet. On the 3rd trip we took 3 Jedi Knights, cleared the place completly besides the one floor with the objective lol. Oh well, great job

For all the people whining, if you can't handle it stick to the geon cave. Nobody said this was going to be easy, and to say its impossible is an overstatement. This is no where near impossible so please stop crying, i dont want to lose the one thing thats fun

It could use some more loot, but atm im not complaining ill just keep running threw it

OK here's my experience: 10 guys group all buffed for 2300 or more, 6 TKM, 2 Docs , 1 Cm and a Carbineer. everything went pretty smooth until we met the super Battledroids. We took one down to 100k health while 2 were attacking us. Everyone dead or incapped this is too hard for only 10 people.

The loots are very nice I looted a bandolier with +11 food assembly on my first time on the corvette and a carbine with a nice dot.

Now for some BUGS that really need fixing:

1. and most important and maybe also most difficult to fix is shooting through the walls. i'm master rifleman and my best shots are all multitarget. Strafe 2 is a cone attack so every mob within 64 goes agro on me when i shoot, same thing happens in the geonosian cave. this applys for CMs area poison and desease too.

2. I know this going to be fixed in publish 8 but getting a 3500dmg shot on an armor hole really hurts lol. If publish 8 still takes 2 weeks to go live plz try to do a hot fix for this or make the corvette NPCs don't use specials.

Sounds like a taste of your own medicine.
