Look folks, It dosent matter what or nhow often you say it. The JTL is taking precedence and after its done they will start pissing with the CB and next year some time do the GCW fixs.
Just how it is. I've cancelled 5 of my 6 accounts already and still debating about keeping this one.
I'm upset beyond belief..but theres nothing that will change how they are going to do things. Just wish i had the balls to dump a years worth of work and leave all together untill they fixed this POS. But I don't.
The games currently out there suck as well for the most part. and i want a long term diversion..not a 4 month one. So i will divest my crap onto this toon and continue to pay..tho not play (which they LOVE) and wait till they fix it.
All i do is mine..its all i've done now for months. My p,layer city is gone because of people quitting, and theres no reason to enter into PvP again...so I'm making cash and watching the economy go down the tubes as well...its all thats left to do that PAYS A RETURN FOR TIME SPENT....untill they find a way to nerf my cash to.

TH, sorry for the last post, i was a bit snippy. Sorry.
I would like to reiterate my concerns, in a more reasoned manner. I believe that of the main issue with the game right now is the missing GCW. I defended the Jedi work that has gone on because i didn't like the direction that the grind had taken the game. I'm not a Jedi mainly because the grind never appealed to me, it wasn't fun (and i could always find something else that was).I also defended it because you also seemed to realize that the GCW is equally important to the game. This is a fundamental part of the Star Wars mythos, central to the movies but is barely a peripheral in the current game. My faction rank only has any function because I'm a smuggler. There is no reason to purchase faction perks, little reason to acquire faction points. There is little motivation to place a base and defend it, no sense that a greater war is advanced when one is sieged and destroyed.
It's been stated elsewhere that the GCW work would first require a combat revamp and that makes sense to me. A functioning GCW would encourage PvP, both one on one and large scale epic battles. When i think of war i think of battles, not so much roaming gank squads. So PvP needs to be rebalanced to deal with the additions to the combat equation since the combat system was first designed including buffs, armor, sea's, aa's, ca's, new foods, spices and anything else I forgot. This balance needs to happen before PvP is encouraged. I also think that the checks and balances of the combat system need to be tweaked to removeFOTM's and encourage a full, robust system to encourge a battle field of many combat professions and their support systems. And an on-going Galactic War to participate in.
That said, I won't be cancelling my account(s). I still love this game and am constantly amazed at how well all the pieces actually do fit together. Yes, there are bugs ( I now warp 30m when i get off my swoopbike) and some annoying bits of 'incomplete coding' (why do i have to re-sort my inventory / bazaar everytime i open the bloody thing??) but i still enjoy playing and after a year, i do still have things to do. I'm posting to say i disagree with the decision to delay the GCW.I too want to have the Star part of the Wars, I just feel that after a year, there should alreadybe more Wars.
And to apologize for being rude. Sorry TH.

Your prolly right, there prolly not going to change there shedule now that they have posted it.
But we are still going to complain and voice our opinion. Not going to let a bunch of morons sink this game further into the piles of utter crapdom without hearing me roar.

The problem for me is that I'm an addict... I know this game is so buggy, when my friends are speaking about how wonderful lineage is, I have no arguments to defend SWG. But I spent so much time on my char that I'm just not able to leave. I will even probably purchase the expansion. BUT, WHAT I WILL NOT DO, IS RECOMMEND THIS GAME TO ANY OF MY FRIENDS, even more; IF SOMEONE HAPPENS TO ASK ME IF THIS GAME IS GOOD, I'LL PROBABLY ANSWER SOMETHING LIKE : ' IF U DONT WANT TO WASTE YOUR TIME, TRY LINEAGE OR WoW!

This is very much the same phenomena that keeps people in relationships they are not happy with. They've got a lot of time invested, and don't want to start from scratch. However, those people are always unhappy in the end if they don't break things off, and I imagine you will be too.

Remember, this is tentatively setfor theend of August...the date may change, but TH has said that IT WILL HAPPEN...
Well that's sounds good, but we've all heard it before.
The conference may indeed happen, but after JTL, "as the date may change."
This sounds like a promise being made without management signoffs.
Again, confidence and trust have been broken.

Just remember to pay maintenance on stuff before you go, 200 days worth or so would be okay.

Account canceled. I want to know why I was paying a premium $14.99 a month for fixes to game I PURCHASED only to have fixes postponed for over a year in favor of an expansion I HAVE NOT PURCHSED and why the devs/coders on the game I purchased (SW:G) are being allocated to an expansion pack I HAVE NOTPURCHASED while the game I DID purcahse and played sits in an unplayable CB/GCW form. Unethical business practice in my opinion. Never buying another SOE product ever.
