I bet JustG does the posting as he's the one always asking us to leave the emotions at the door. I'll leave mine at the door the day I am certain SOE's put the DEV's where the forum posts by the DEVs say they should be.

In light of TH's recently announcement of the CB being delayed again and more promises, I know a lot of you have responded back with "Yeah Sure, why should we believe anything TH or any other Dev has to say..."
Well...there has been something that has been privately discussed for some time now that I finally have permission to reveal it...There is going to be a Corresponent Summit...and best of all...it will be at SOE's Headquarters...
TH and the rest of SOE is going out of his way to showtheir determination at seeing us get the fixes we need for our Communities...So much so thattheyare flying us Correspondentsdown to Austin to discuss it face to face...and it won'twait untilafter JTL...it is tentatively scheduled for end of August...
The main point of this Summit will be to discuss, debate and refine the Combat Balance Master Plan...If all goes well, that means we'll be coming back with...dare I say it...specifics!!!! I will also make it a point to focus directly on all of those other issues that are important to us Commandos...
Personally I think this is a fantastic move on SOE's part...how many other online games out there would go to this degree to speak to it's consumer directly...I only wish I could take all my loyal Commandos with me, but I know you'll all be backing me up in spirit...
Remember, this is tentatively setfor theend of August...the date may change, but TH has said that IT WILL HAPPEN...Closer to that date I will work on refining the issues you all most want to me to drop directly on their desks...
By the end of the Summit, TH and the rest will understand why we say "Diehard Commandos Die Hard!!!"
This is in the Commando Forum.
A Simple acknowledgement of what is happening would have been good "Community Relations". Thankfully, our correspondents are trying to get the info out and the job started. Thank you GARVIN
Hopefully, without any input in the DEVTRACKER from TH today, he is working at handling the current uproar from the community. I would expect a posting concerning this issue and the anger within the community from him within the next couple of days.

b) Devs aknowledge that the current combat system needs a TOTAL (not partial) overhaul
c) A TOTAL overhaul involves re-writing and replacing most of the code for the combat system
d) The combat system is, along with crafting, ONE OF THE TWO PRIMARY GAME SYSTEMS
e) If a PRIMARY GAME SYSTEM is being COMPLETELY RE-WRITTEN than it will eventually be a DIFFERENT SYSTEM
f) The system we are playing with today is TEMPORARY because it is scheduled to be SCRAPPED
g) Temporary, unfinished software, is otherwise known in this world as BETA.
working, but still under test; usu. used with `in': `in beta'. In
the Real World, systems (hardware or software) software often go
through two stages of release testing: Alpha (in-house) and Beta
(out-house?). Beta releases are generally made to a group of lucky
(or unlucky) trusted customers. 2. Anything that is new and
experimental. "His girlfriend is in beta" means that he is still
testing for compatibility and reserving judgment. 3. Flaky;
dubious; suspect (since beta software is notoriously buggy).
Look at definition #3 - Flaky, Suspect, Buggy
DENNIS:
Ah, now we see the violence(censorship) inherent in the system.
ARTHUR:
Shut up!
DENNIS:
Oh! Come and see the violence(censorship) inherent in the system! Help! Help! I'm being repressed!
ARTHUR:
Bloody peasant!
DENNIS:
Oh, what a give-away. Did you hear that? Did you hear that, eh? That's what I'm on about. Did you see him repressing me? You saw it, didn't you?
