The only thing that the holo-grinders get that non-hologrinders get is free FS trees to reflect the number of holos they have completed.. if you've done 30 professions, congrats, you don't have to wait that long to get your last tree or two.. if you haven't done any holos, get to badge collecting...
Also, if you can't wait a day or two for the old man, then you seriously need to think about getting some professional help.. you waited 2 days, 2 days ago.. now you KNOW he'll be coming soon.. if you aren't sure, once again, GET TO BADGE COLLECTING..

Here is your feedback from a Jedi perspective:
1. Jedi characters have No or little connection to the Force when using /checkforcestatus. I have heard they could possible visit the Elder an skip over the other parts of the quest. If this is the case then that is good. I will test this. If Jedi cant get the Village rewards we have a problem though.
2. Force Run Nerf has fixed nothing an has made the Enhancer Tree useless. Force Run 3should not be a glorified Burst Run. Its a MASTER skill an should be useful in combat. Otherwise Enhancers will be gimped in the FRS. I recommend removing the damage reduction an making Force Run steadily drain Force while activated. It should have a toggle an not cost a set amount of Forceto turn on. Alternatively if your lazy you could just keep it like it is an add a toggle so it wont be as useless to us. Bottom line is that we Enhancers did'nt spend months earning our combatskills to only be good at running from combat. We desire a COMBAT ability version of Force Run.
3. Force Ranking System is not working at all. That's about the best way I can describe it. So many things are wrong with it I just dont even know what to say to you guys. You wasted a month on that? First of all Knights should'nt be PermaOvert Imps/Rebs if they get no benefit from factional combat. Secondly xp gains have NOT been increased for killing other Knights. An even if they were big deal because Maintenence costs are so insanely high no one can hold a rank for more than one day. An EVEN if they were. The boxes grant practically zero increase in our abilities making them a JOKE.This thing isnt even Beta worthy let alone worty of being on Live in its state. Needs a completerevamp already.

If this were so (I pray that it would, I was glowing when I logged on) then all Blunderheart would have to do is make a post explaining this.
He hasn't. He's only posted the vaguest of descriptions and left us to hoot and holler among ourselves, I must therefore assume that either:
a) This is not so, hologrinders get in first, glowiness means nothing on it's own.
b) He's an idiot
or c) He likes making us stew in our own juices until we find the answer ourselves.
I say it's a combo of a) and c)

At any rate I think it sucks big time.
I unlocked after publish 9 and have 100 badges and 28 proffessions.
logged on when server went live enter and exited a city for 5 hours straight and no old man. When I unlocked I was given a message that I had to wait for pub 10 to enter the galaxy.
Now that pub 10 is live I get slapped in the face and have to wait around for santa clause to pay me a visit whenever he feels like it.
This just another way SOE shows us how little they value our time.
As far as JTL I for won't be wasting my money or time on it.

I don't remember anything being promised.. they said they were putting a new system in.. you got a new system..
Think about it.. if they let everyone that was eligible in at once, you wouldn't be able to get there.. i've seen faction battles where i'd warp 300m back whenever i got within 200m, due to lag.. this would be even worse!!
So for the sake of keeping things running smoothly, I'm sure they had to sacrifice giving these things right away..

If they gave the grinders the damn Jedi they "worked" for like they promised they would, they'd cut the village demand in half right away.

What are you all &(*0 mad! This is a game if we knew every thing what is the point of playing the game. waaa waaa waaa. Thats all i hear, yes they did a very bad job testing this but thats them, so get over it if you don't like it theres plenty of other games you can go to then i don't have to hear you dang belly aching. You people lost your sense of gaming hood long ago, you people disapoint me. Why do you play this game? WAAAAA I want I want I want. Well maby when you can say you actauly did something to get tell me. I will be waiting for the old man to come when HE SEES THAT I AM WORTHY. I can wait a day a week or month I have patiance over 5 mins so I got no problem.
You players disapoint me. GO out there and do somethign diffrent for a change. How many of you can say I went to the deepest darkest place in Yavin and seen some cool things, I went to the tusken bunker and fought 20 some tuskens all at once yes you died but it was pritty dang cool to show it to theose dumb tuskens, Went up to the corevette in your speedos shouting at the SBD that you are a god, and then get chased around for the rest of the hour. Thats how this game should be played nto wining and wanting with out actauly doing anything to diserve it.

The point is that we're paying for a service. A service that they don't provide properly.
We get a bunch of morons as CSR who think they have an Iron rule over us and treat us as if we don't exist.
Then the Devs who see that we're enjoying the game decide to come along to make changes then screw us up altogether.
Then when a glitch occurs in the game and you lose items,credits or xp due to it they say sorry nothing we can do about then turn around and patch it a week later even though they know there was a problem to begin with they won't compensate you regardless of what evidence that you provide.
They promoted this as a part RPG game but that aspect of the game died when they intoduced TEF's forcing players to go PvP when all they want to do is RP.
Then they introuduced the dreaded holos which turned this from a game to work shortly after that bogus Jedi they introduced last Oct.
You see this is all about $OE and how they control us. They fail to see if people are having a good time they will continue to play the game.
$OE is turning into another Di$ney it's all about the $$ satisfaction not customer satisfaction

Well SOE if you ever wanted to completely destroy your credibility of the players you've managed to do so in a most unimaginable way. This is THE most important publish this game has ever had and you nerf it. Giving access to only a handful, even screwing the ones that are ready to move forward. I still don't agree with you guyson giving more attention to those that mastered tons of professions rather than those that followed the simple rules and put time into the game from the very beginning and back into the early beta testing stages. You people just don't get it.
I don't who our so called correspondants are and where you got your ideas to make up such a horrible crime against a very loyal fan base to Star Wars, but I'm sorry DEVs, you should all be fired as of today. Have you ever heard of the fact that the customer is always right? Have you ever heard that Happy Players are the best way to keep them in the game? Who the hell do you think pays your salary anyway?
A few things need to change and they need to change fast.
1. Take away the Old Man gating.
2. Change HoloCredits to give each holocron profession mastered a credit, that means 4.
3.Fix your servers to be more robust.
4. Start a new server that you can automatically be a jedi from the start, no mystery, just let people play. All the naysayers can stay the hell out.
5. Drop that 3 week timeframe between phases to less than 2 weeks.
6. Let the players jump in as CSRs once in a while to help others and give them the accolade badges. Let me walk around as an ATAT spreading fear since you guys won't have any fun.
7. After you've made the above changes, get a new job.
Is that enough input for ya? Why don't you respond back to the THOUSANDS of people you screwed today? Why do you keep listening to Uber Gaming PvP clans and start listening to the general public?
Ah screw it, you ain't listening anyway...............

you think that it fair to give you a jedi just because you unlock before pub-10 and control the rest... and the ones that don't like it just quit playing.... if so then the jedi players should PAY MORE EVERY MONTH, that is in order to be fair about it !!!
I have been with the game over 14 months and some players have there jedi but "ONLY" been playing 6 months <NOT FAIR> to let them have jedi and "JUST" stop me altogeather ! Players like me have put up with alot of crap in the last 14 months {nothing like the 6 month players have} SO WE SHOULD GET SOMETHING FOR OUR HARD WORK !!! Sounds like if you had your way you would have a jedi and "NO" one else would {but maybe some of your friends only}.

In an attempt to spoon-feed every player a Jedi, SOE has totally destroyed the "Star Wars" in SWG.
Might as well call it "Galaxies: Get your free Jedi!"
All I wanted to see in this damn patch was the trade windows fixed. But, I'm assured that will happen....
