TH, Q, whoever!!

My guild has two LARGE REBEL HQ DETATCHMENTS go *poof* today! They were not destroyed, not blown up by imperial players, they werent even vulnerable when they disappeared!! This happened between the times of 8am and 4pm EST. First one went in the early morning, then the other wentsome time between1pm and 4pm EST.

Please fix this and give back our bases!!

This is on the Lowca Server, on Naboo.

Im not posting the exact coords for reasons of GCW Rebel privacy.

I am frustrated and disgusted at your Imperial Crackdown for the following reason:

It is clearly forced PvP. SOE said they would never do this. I hate it.

I can't believe the SOE powers that be have actually listened to the minority PvP crowd that is rationalizing the forcing of their playstyle on those of us (a large majority of SOE customers) who hate PvP.

I think the stormtroopers in cantinas should be removed since it disrupts business for the entertainers and merely grants the rebels an easy target to camp.

Current Crackdown Cities of Kor Vella and Mos Espa:

PLEASE ADD NON-KILLABLE IMPERIAL RECRUITERS IN THE IMPERIAL NPC CAMPS

This is extremely poor implementation..... you the Devs want to make these cities "look" like Imperial bastions, but you give no means for the Imperial players to defend them by having the ability to become DECLARED at a moment's notice.

Please add Imperial Faction Recruiters to these cities ASAP. We know that Kor Vella and Espa both have small "permanent" bases at the edge of town. But all Imperial NPCs inside can always be killed by Faction Farming rebel players.

Sooooooo.... add non-killable not-combatant Imperial Faction Recruiters please.

Just so all the smugglers and Imperials out there (and the DEs, I suppose -- this means big money for you) are aware...

Droids are completely unscannable. That's ten free contraband items. Including crates of spice, by the way. Just buy droids and fill your datapad, and you too can be just like a high-ranking or overt Imperial!

Don't believe me? The following is a direct quote from Taurin on this issue, when I reported it to him as a potential exploit/bug.

Re: Droid/smuggling exploit

This is as intended. As we see it, the fact that droids have so few slots in them for storage does not impair the Smuggler profession as a whole.

Thanks for your concern however.

Quick comments / suggestions. Put ST's in all the cities. Make my life as a Rebel tough. I want the challange. However, when I do get scanned, give me a TEF and not make me Overt. I don't PvP, but I'm am not opposed to the idea if it makes life interesting. Then again, give me the ability to get away.

#1 Make it so that as soon as I get a TEF, again stressing Temporary, make my little dot come off the map. I should be able to hide. IRL if I knock off a liquor store (not that I would), the cops have to find me, and I am not wearing a cute little transmitter telling them where I am. They can find me, espose me, then I can run. If they shoot me, I die. If I hide, they can't find me, I get away. Make the game the same.

What? *gasp* Go... go neutral? And give up this wonderful faction point farm situation in every city? No way.

It has all been said before....but I just think there should be way stronger, and way more ST's in the cities.... The Rebs should be afraid of them. It would make the "feel" of the game so much better.

As for the forced PVP. No one forces them to carry contraband so those sissy's can shut up. Everyone was warned for a lond time by the splash screens that this was coming ...so it should be no surprise. They break the law...now they get punished...I like it.

Just please make the imperial presence more noticable. Make it feel like the Imps rule the galaxie. Give them some strength!

yeah, I've gotten more faction work done these past 3 days than I have in a month thanks to this patch. I can spend hours farming in the "crackdown" cities and I'm uber buffed... worse thing that happens to me is I stumble upon an AT-ST (rare) or I meet a overt imperial I can't beat or evade (also rare).

The Imperial Crackdown is in actuality a Rebel Crackdown and Faction Point farming time for opportunistic Rebel players. In Bloodfin's Moenia Cantina a Stormtrooper will walk in and conduct a covert scan of all players inside. When he finds a covert rebel, he walks up to them and harasses them. What I found hilarious was when the stormtrooper harassed me, and I'm an Imperial Warrant 1. I was wishing fervently that I was able to target him and kill him in the 5 seconds required to empty his HAM bars. This would be a great time to switch sides and kill these dorky Stormtroopers.

Aside from that, I see no difference in the Imperial presence in the cities. Same old same old, I have yet to be scanned. The only things different I have noticed with this patch: my droid stays right on top of my head, and bleeds are a joke. Oh, but the bleeds we get inflicted on US by NPCs are not a joke, and of course Combat Medic DOTs are utterly unaffected by the nerf, and they continue to be exempt from the 75% PvP reduction. Yay SOE. Great job as always.

Publish 6 Feedback: Imperial Crackdown

The soul of this publish is the Imperial crackdown on contraband. The scans and the increased imperial precence.

There is much conceren in the smuggler and droid engineer communities at the moment due to a possible bug in the scan system.

Droid storage moduals are known to not be in the same pool of inventory as the rest of our items. We know this due to items inside a droid not suffering decay on death, without insurance involved.

It seems a fairly safe assumption then that they are also unable to be scanned. If this is true it is no small matter. Every player can have 5 droids in thier pad, every droid can have 10 items, that is a backpack that is potentionally inpenetrable to scans.

That is enough space for anyone to carry any contraband they desire, thus limiting the core purpouse of this entier publish to nothing but covert faction scans for rebels. That is alot of code the devs would of laid for no reason. I do not belive that to be true.

This was a minor issue with decay, it increases with contraband and is being assumed to be a Perk by many DE's and even some correspondents. This added to the apprarent ability to add droid stored items to your quickbar lets folks have thier contraband at beck and call with no risk of scan. No matter thier profession or alliance.

Some folks have allready started marketing thier droids just for this purpouse, and adjusting thier pricing accordingly to the new demand.

Devs, TH, JustG, CSR's, Anyone of SOE employ, I implore you, please answer two simple question to eliminate the strife that is brewing.

  1. Are droids indeed invulerable to scans?

  2. Is this intentional?

I would've hoped part of the crackdown would've been allowing your rank to set how many faction pets you can have out.

Obviously, you'd have to be Darth Vader to have more than one AT-ST, or ATAT, but having troops with it isn't unheard of for a colonel. Just have the same kind of system you'd have for CHs, since they have assigned levels anyway.
